Overcoming the Adversary

Rate this book
Though Satan has no right to rule in a believer's life, he can subtly build a stronghold--brick by brick, layer by layer--until he is a dominating force in your life. Mark Bubeck asserts that spiritual warfare requires careful preparation, biblical obedience, and persistent prayer. The Adversary prowls, but he's already been beaten. This book is an essential follow-up to the bestselling The Adversary, in which Bubeck helps Christians grasp prayer practices that enable a victorious walk. Building on the practical instruction of The Adversary, this book shares examples of demonic activity and carries you through the perils and challenges of spiritual warfare. The author focuses on four weapons needed to wage the battle against the enemy.

This book is a must have for Christians everywhere. So little is spoken of nowadays in relation to spiritual warfare, which is an absolute tragedy.
This book beautifully tells how even though Satan is indeed a formidable enemy, we already have everything we need to stand against him and his attacks through our being in Christ, through knowing God's Word, and because of Christ's victory over him on the cross and His resurrection. The prayers included within the book are incredible. I've been praying them over my life everyday and have seen a drastic change for the better. This book will have a place in my book collection, as long as the pages withstand my many readings. I pray for anyone else that reads it. May they be blessed and strengthened by the truth it contains.

This is a good follow up to "The Adversary" and a good treatment of Ephesians 6:10-18. Bubeck is balanced and biblical in his approach to the topic of spiritual warfare.
