Docker: The Comprehensive Beginner’s Guide to Take Control of Docker Programming

Rate this book
The Docker programming language allows you to program your own scripts and is one of the best languages that you can start with if you learn how to use other programming languages. You will use Docker most when you are creating images that will be placed into a container. You will also have the option of creating those images so that they can be placed on the Docker hub for everyone else to use. The images that are on Docker hub can be used by you as well. However, you do not have to make your image public, you can create a private repository that is going to house all of your images that you want to keep to yourself. Do not be hard on yourself when you make a mistake. Learn from your mistakes and do not allow it to stop you from learning the language!

Finished this a few months ago. The book took about 30 mins to read, it has useful content... for installing and using Docker in less than 20 mins. But honestly you could just read a tutorial online and gather the same info in less time. Didn't glean anything from this that I didn't already know, nor did it mention use of Docker-compose files which is becoming way more relevant.
