怪獸，別吃我！
本書原文為荷蘭文，比利時繪本。是一個關於喜歡吃零食的孩子，最後發現零食雖好吃，但是也會給自己帶來麻煩，風趣幽默又有創意的可愛故事。
艾力克斯是一隻喜歡吃零食的小豬。今天牠又偷偷溜進院子裡，吃了快十個馬鈴薯。這時候媽媽來了。「你跑去哪裡了，我正在找你。」媽媽大聲說，「你又躲在這裡偷吃了？我已經跟你說過多少次了，不要在正餐以外的時間偷吃零食！」然後，媽媽要全身弄得髒兮兮的艾力克斯去河裡洗乾淨。
艾力克斯邊走邊想，覺得媽媽實在太嚴格了！不就是幾個馬鈴薯，媽媽怎麼就不肯讓牠吃！路上，艾力克斯看到一棵結滿果實的蘋果樹，牠好想吃，但是馬上又想起媽媽說的話，「不能在正餐以外的時間吃零食！」於是，牠繼續往前走。不久，艾力克斯看到路邊一顆顆鮮紅欲滴的覆盆子。之前，蘋果樹太高了，牠摘不到，加上又想起媽媽的話，所幸放棄不吃了。這回，可口的覆盆子就在眼前，牠再也忍不住。可是，正當牠彎下腰去採覆盆子，一個黑暗的大陰影忽然籠罩牠。原來，是一隻怪獸。怪獸緊緊抓住艾力克斯，張開大口，想要一口咬下……
因為貪吃，艾力克斯把媽媽的話當作耳邊風，讓自己遭遇了危險。艾力克斯能不能逃離怪獸手中呢？
翻到最後，爸爸媽媽們一定會會心一笑。原來，艾力克斯不是唯一一個喜歡吃各種零食的小孩；艾力克斯的媽媽也不是唯一一個禁止孩子在正餐之外吃零食的媽媽。
零食，的確有很大的魔力，不喜歡吃飯卻嗜吃零食的孩子實際並不少。只是一味的禁止，似乎也不是個好方法。或許從小不斷給孩子正確的飲食觀，讓孩子了解食物對身體的影響，但也偶爾讓孩子品嘗一下、過個癮，一個折衷、適度的方法，或許更能讓孩子接受，也更容易做到不把零食當飯吃。

207 books8 followersCarl Norac was born in Mons, Belgium, in 1960, the son of a writer and an actress. His early years were spent on a city housing estate, surrounded by playmates with whom he would act out Enid Blyton’s tales of adventure. His father later built a chalet and the family left the city to live in the middle of a forest. The importance of nature in his books comes from these years spent wandering among the trees. Every day after school, Carl went walking alone in the forest, making up stories. At the time, his parents owned a traveling puppet theatre and from the age of 12, Carl took part in their shows.
As a teenager, Carl wrote poems and received his first literary prize at the age of eighteen. This is when he started to travel throughout the world, mainly in Asia but also in Africa and the Americas. His children’s books are sometimes inspired by these travels that took him from sandy deserts to icy arctic wastes.
Carl Norac then worked in a number of different fields as a French teacher, a television scriptwriter, and a journalist before devoting himself completely to his passion—writing. In addition to poetry and plays, he has written about fifty children’s books and has received a lot of price ( He was also in the Honour List for The Andersen Prize in 2004 ) . Some of these, such as Les mots doux (I Love You So Much), have been translated more than twenty different languages with worldwide success. When he writes, the part he likes best is expressing the characters’ feelings. “A little bit of gentleness in a strange world.” These last years, he wrote some books directly in english, especially for Macmillan Chlidren’s Book ( with a american edition also by Clarion Books ). “My daddy is a giant” and “My mummy is magic”, the two first ones, are already translated in many languages. Carl Norac is the father of a little girl called Else.

..grāmata lika pasmaidīt. ilustrācijas gan visai sirreālas :)

Die tekeninge is absoluut stunning! En ek hou so van die woord ‘vreetvarkie’ (Alex is ’n vreetvarkie). Die vreetvarkie is gulsig en dink sy ma is te streng – sy stuur hom om te gaan bad na ’n modderige vreetsessie. Op pad word hy deur ’n monster gevang wat hom gulsig wil opeet.... Alex dink allerande planne uit om te ontsnap...
Die illustrasies het ’n lieflike chaotiese sin omtrent hulle – kleurvol met speelgoed en boeties en sussies en verbeeldingryke variasies. Daar is werklik ook ’n gevoel van die prente wat ’n eie ruimte het.

I think this is a great book!
It has a great lesson in it.
Always listen to your parents.
I think that it is a great thing to teach kids.
I also think they should have done it less scary.

Oliver the pig loves to eat, but he runs into trouble when he encounters another creature who also LOVES to eat. Can he outsmart the horrible monster before he becomes lunch? Gulp!
Cute enough, though ultimately forgettable.
