About the author

Lee Binz and her husband Matt homeschooled their two sons from elementary through high school. Upon their graduation, both boys received four-year, full-tuition scholarships from their first choice university.

Lee is the author several books on the topic of homeschooling. Her monthly newsletter is free as are her daily blog posts, and mini-courses and webinars. She loves speaking at homeschool conventions and her dynamic presentations leave parents feeling confident and capable.

Good general advice, very short. Which is probably great for someone contemplating homeschooling high school for the first time, the "can I really do this?" stage. But that's not where I'm at. I know I can, and I'm arms deep in planning, and I need a lot more detail and specific examples for designing specific courses, rather than this very general accounting of the typical high school scope and sequence. Her more expensive and extensive "Setting the Records Straight" is more useful, though still not quite what I'm looking for, hence my having tried this one. Recommended only as a very first step.

Great info and encouragement for anyone thinking about homeschooling in high school. I have home schooled for many years and am starting to look ahead to our lan for high school. This book gave a great bit of info on strategies and encouragement that it doesn't have to be complicated.

Nice basic overview of what courses to plan for high school. Sometimes it felt a bit like an ad for Sonlight though.
