What a load of s##t

I have been quite happily reading through this series, last couple have felt a little bit less enthralling but still compelling reading, as was this book.... until it got to about 70 percent of the way through. Then let's just say the entire genre of the book changed in a blink, leaving you thinking what the........

So now dilemma , I hate leaving a series unfinished, plus I need to know of the psycho mayor ever gets her comeuppance or has it just been forgotten she is a killer in charge of this small island. Can I really bring myself to keeping reading when it's gone so stupid and there is no logic now in trying to work out anything in the plot.

I can't really explain how disappointed I was in the way this book turned out without giving spoilers but if you read it then the review should make sense!

While I can't fathom why the author has gone down this route, Willow Rose remains one of my favourite authors

Absolutely horrendous. While I enjoyed Emma Frost in the beginning of the series, each book has become worse than the one before. This one however, takes the cake. The sudden introduction of Aliens, vampires, vampire aliens, superpowers, it’s all ridiculous. I started the series of mystery novels, not sci-fi. Extremely badly written sci-fi at that. I enjoyed Willow Rose for awhile with her quick and interesting reads but this is the end of the line for me. Simply ridiculous.

Disappointed. I loved the Emma Frost series until now.
I read it all but am done with the series.
I love to read. Murder mysteries- great. Sci fi- great, Aliens - great, Ancient beings - great.
But take my favorite murder mystery series and tur in into a murder mystery, alien abductions, ancient beings sci-fi my kid has green blood is just too stupid.
To repeat myself...Done with the series.

Teenagers are being kidnapped and drained of their blood. Maya’s best friend Asgar is found dead and drained of blood which brings Maya and her close friend into the search for what really happened and who is the one kidnapping kids and killing them.
Victor is finally kicked out of school for acting out and the school administration do not know how to deal with him. I don’t understand why Emma never looked into other school options for special kids like Victor. Instead she assumed the worst like it was a mental health facility drugging their patients. For her being an author and excellent at hacking into software she really slacked off in her research for better options for Victor.
Meanwhile a little girl that Victor names Skye shows up and befriends Victor and helps him with his new abilities.
The killer is surprising but this book takes a turn into sci fi. It does leave off with some questions that will continue in the next books but it was still an enjoyable read. A little crazy as I can see where this is headed. But I use to read sci fi back in the day and I will continue with this series as I do really like Victor and this new mute character Skye. But I can see how this turn of events can upset some loyal mystery/thriller/Emma Frost fans.

Different

Waltzing Matilda is completely different from all of the Emma Frost series, but it's still a good read!

Victor is expelled from school and loves being outside talking to his trees. Emma is outside walking the dogs when she hears something in the tree. She looks up and sees a little girl who Victor calls Skye.
Emma takes Skye inside gives her some hot chocolate to warm her up. Victor and Skye talk to each other in a totally different way. The talk with their minds.
While the entire island is trying to find out who is killing the teenagers by draining their blood, Mya and her friend Samuel dig into their dead friends Facebook and discover a deeply hidden secret!
This is all I'm going to say so I don't unwittingly give out any spoilers. Read this book!

Emma Frost finds a boy’s body on the beach as she is walking the dogs. She recognizes the boy as her daughter, Maya’s friend. The police come and take the body away. The autopsy reveals that the body was drained of blood. Then a girl in her daughter’s class goes missing. When the police find another boy unconscious, Emma concludes that someone is targeting the teens in the town. They may catch a break with the unconscious boy if he is able to give them information about what happened to him. At the same time, a young girl mysteriously appears in Emma’s yard. She finds out the girl is friends with her son. She doesn’t have a family, she doesn’t speak and she able to bond with Emma’s son. So Emma is now trying to solve two puzzles, who is killing the teens in town and who is this girl who appears to have magical powers.

"Story Is Creepy With Strange Happenings"

On the small Danish island of Fanoe, supernatural events are frightening the people. A teenage boy is found dead, his blood drained from his body. Emma Frost will use all her power to protect her children. There is more mystery involving a young girl who is able to bring out supernatural powers in Emma's special needs son. Willow Rose is one of the best authors of this genre, as well as other genres. This series is awesome! There are several more books in this series which will expand the mysteries in the book 11. Highly recommend.

What color is your blood?

Another fantastic installment in the Emma Frost series! I was super excited to learn more about Victor and boy was I surprised at what I learned. Now I'm even more excited to learn more Victor and Skye. I wonder if he would have discovered his powers if Skye hadn't shown up? And where will these powers take him in the next book? So many questions! I can't wait to read more...

Waltzing Matilda was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!

Waltzing Matilda isn't the usual Emma Frost book! Emma's autistic son, Victor has a new friend. Emma finds her in a tree in their backyard. She and Victor can talk to each other, in their minds. Mean while, kids from the High School are going missing. One is found buried in the sand dunes, with no blood left in his body. A little Sci-fi in this book and it comes as a total suprise!!! A MUST READ!!

Brilliant writing

I have read every one of the books in the emma frost series and enjoyed them all. The last two were a bit different from the others but still enjoyed them. Willow Rose is a brilliant author and I intend to read her other books. She is definitely now my favorite author. I read all of the emma frost series one after the other as I wanted to know what would happen next for emm a and her family. Can't wait for new books in the series

Waltzing Matilda

This was definitely on the sci-fi spectrum! We had high school kids coming up missing and one was found dead. Victor was expelled from the public school and then had to start at Fishy Pines which is an odd name for a school. Emma finds a girl hanging in her tree late at night and come to find out that she only communicates with Victor! This book will give you a ride of your life! There are so many ups and downs, so hold on!! I highly recommend this one!

This one was really "out there." I guess it is a tribute to the author's skill but I was actually nauseous over Emma's stress eating. I desperately want her to just stop it. Also, this book had vampires - drinking blood and living in sewers. An other-worldly mute creature is Victor's friend and living in the house with them. And is Victor one of them? All in all a pretty goofy book that I did not find satisfying.

What the F*** did I just read? I've enjoyed the series up to this point until BAM everything is jacked up, to say I'm disappointed would be an understatement, I was hoping it was going to be some twist that we were reading "Emma's" attempt at writing in another genre or something, but I was obviously over thinking the hell out of it.......wtf?

Wow. Another exciting book with Emma as the star. Blood drained bodies and someone that makes her special needs son have special powers. Nothing is better than a book by Willow Rose to make your day special. Add some mystery and this is an intriguing read.

I am a huge Willow Rose fan and have read most of her book. Was very surprised by this one, I am not a fan of the paranormal at all. Sorry to say one of my least favourites from the series. I downloaded book #12, not I am not sure I want to read it now if the story lines are going to be similar.

Unrealistic

This book strays too far from the others in the series, into aliens and people with green blood. It’s just too unrealistic that after 10 books for the writer to suddenly go in this direction.

Emma Frost and Trouble

Trouble seems to find Emma Frost. This book is scary weird. I really enjoyed it and am loving the growth of Victor in this book. This book is a real rollercoaster ride start to finish. Thanks Willow Rose for another amazing book.

I had trouble getting through this as quickly as I usually do with Willow's books. Going in the vampire/alien/woo-woo aspect kinda lost me. I don't mind woo-woo stuff, but not liking it in the mix of "crime solving" stories. Just sayin'.

Vampires

Society is fans of books about vampires! Why? They seem to be a great fantasy to us. You must read this book if you are at all interested in vampires, aliens or just because you are a fan of Willow Rose. Will leave you wondering.

Disappointedly stupid story. Limits were stretched in past books, but to devolve to green blood, levitation and aliens - these do not make for a crime fiction story. will no longer follow Willow Rose.
