Rate this book
The truth of the matter is most people need some form of guidance when it comes to personal development.

Because you bought this journal, you’re probably someone who is generally into personal development. You’re probably familiar with ordinary journals that promise to help you remain productive, create useful routines, etc.

Let’s be real.

This journal is a compilation of the best tips and strategies discovered by people who have truly mastered their mornings. We've dug through many 300-page books, podcasts, scientific studies behind willpower, cool products/apps/gadgets, and dissected successful leaders’ strategies to find the golden nuggets of info and present them here.

The result is a journal bringing something new to the table. Actionable tips and motivating content are what we’re all about.

Every day, for 66 days, we’re going to give you the information, motivation, and accountability you need to stay consistent in making significant strides towards your goal of bettering yourself.

Why 66 days? In a recent study on human behavior, researcher Phillippa Lally discovered that on average, it takes 66 days to form a habit. In reality, there is no exact, definite, magical moment. But from personal experience, 66 days is a long enough time to build the habit so strongly that you can tap into it at any future point in your life.

You are building a life-altering habit here that you can use at any moment in your future. The beauty about this is by diving headfirst into mastering your mornings, you’ll immediately start seeing the benefits on day ONE.

Our mission is to be your book-sized personal trainer for building this life-altering habit into your day-to-day life.

The way you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of your day. Building a morning routine that sets you up for the perfect day is one of the big ‘secrets’ everyone knows, but for some reason, can’t pull off.

Throughout this journey, it’s common to have internal dialogue saying things like “I’m not a morning person... I sleep too late... Just 5 more minutes...”

Excuses are the enemy of success.
Excuses are the enemy of change.
Excuses are the enemy of your goals.
Today we stop making excuses, together.

In this moment, you’re already doing something amazing. The fact that you’re reading this means somewhere in you there is a burning desire to really add this habit and make it stick.

Let’s make it stick and add value to our lives in an amazing, indescribable way.

I have not tried any habit-forming strategies or guided journals that have helped as much as this one. It’s still hard work and easy to slip away from, but this journal gave me all the support possible to add structure to my mornings and begin goal-setting.

I loved this guided journal! This was exactly what I was looking for to help me establish a regular routine in the morning. It's designed to encourage the reader to build the healthy habit of a morning routine in 66 days. Each day has a one-page blurb to read which includes affirmations, tips, success stories from famous people, and lots of great resources to check out like books, podcasts, and videos about having successful mornings. This is the journal that led me to the book "The Miracle Morning," which had some great, very practical tips for making a successful morning routine. After the daily page to read, this journal had spaces to write a few lines about my day, lines to write out my morning routine with checkboxes to tick when I completed each step, a place to write my most important task for the day, and a line to write ideas about how to improve my life in the future. Short, to-the-point, and effective. After writing out my morning routine multiple times in 66 days, I can now remember it easily. I really like the guided journal format that provided helpful resources, as opposed to a blank journal or a journal with just a bunch of questions and no help. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to transform their mornings.

I can't recommend this journal highly enough. It is like your own personal, life coach. It has helped me greatly increase my productivity and move me closer to my goals. I am continuing almost all of the habits I learned to develop while doing this journal. I look forward to buying some of the other journals that Habit Nest offers.

There's nothing here I didn't already know.

However, the guided journal and daily structure is helpful. I found the helpful hints, well, helpful! The real gold is the daily guides, the different questions and tips daily, and daily to do list. I think the thing that helps make me feel ok about going off the plan is that it's easy to dust off and get back on the plan. The book doesn't punish you or berate you when you fall off the wagon.

What I didn't expect (and here's where the one star is missing from a five star possibility) is that I find myself stressed out. I'm not doing what I thought I would be doing. I've asked myself - do I need to be more productive in just the morning? Why do I feel this way? Why is it that my morning isn't solid enough for me?

I ask myself, what is wrong with my morning and why do I feel like I have to accomplish a War & Peace sized to do list?

During the pandemic, I slowed down like many people did. I didn't get so much accomplished. Now I feel like the world has somewhat returned to productivity, I should've as well.

What the book doesn't address is the possibility that there's more going on that just not being able to get things done. Or wanting more done in a day. I dealt with aging parents, loosing my parents so closely in time. Depression is real and no self help book is going to fix it by itself.

Boil this badly pieced review down and find that the guides are great, the tips are great, but there might be more going on than forgetting what you need to accomplish, or feeling pressured by your past life to do what you used to do and trying to stuff it in your present life.

We change. Do the best you can. Make your list but don't feel like if this fails, I fail.

We aren't failing. We're struggling. And living. It's ok to have a different routine as we age, at any age, not just middle or old age, but anytime we change.

I bought this book for my mama daughters for Mother’s Day. After thinking about it, I thought, “Why not buy myself one? I’m a mother, for heaven’s sake!”
I’m into it three days. I’ve read the book cover to cover. There is SO much life-changing info in this little book...podcasts to listen to, affirmations to recite, tips from the pros, books to read, and examples of successful people who’ve mastered their morning routine. It’s incredible!
I LOVE buying new journals! I usually write on a page or two and then quit or I use it to keep game scores or jot down a shopping list. The little book is different. I know, (for once in my life) that I’m going to stick to this.
As a 60 year-old gramma who has been starting her “new life” TOMORROW her entire life...this is my favorite entry in the book...
TOMORROW, you will be exactly who you are TODAY.
The rest of your life is a future projection of who you are today.
If you CHANGE today, tomorrow will be DIFFERENT.
If you DON’T CHANGE today, the rest of your life is PREDETERMINED.

Wasn't the most useful journal for me, but it's still a great product--well thought out and aesthetically pleasing. Wish it had more ideas for people who already get up at 5 am for work (vs. those who go in at 8 or 9 am).

Top zelfhulpboek; dit boek veranderde mijn leven. Niet enkel in de ochtend maar het positieve effect trekt zich door naar m'n hele dag. Ik ga zeker door met de vervolgboekjes!
