10☆ Fantastic End to a Fantastic Series!

I was so so happy to be back with Annie and Josh and all her friends and family.
However i was equally as sad that this will be the last time as it's the last book in the series and what a fantastic series it has been!

 Annie's Summer by the Sea had everything heartbreak, romance, wedding, engagement, mysterious guest, humour, memorable and loveable characters, and of course the choir.

As this is the last book in the series I am not going to give anything away as it's just too good!
This one is not a standalone as it ties up everything but Still leaves space to revisit. Fingers crossed!!

I was deeply touched by how much this book pulled on my heartstrings.
I laughed, had a tear, my heart swelled with pride at a special long awaited engagement.

There was highs and lows, underhanded schemes, new adventures, reacquainted lovers, drama, plenty of tears and a birth. Like I said it had everything.

I want to give a spacial thank you to Liz for making me feel so much apart of the Salt Bay family. 
I will remember Annie and Alice, Josh and all the memorable Characters for a very long time as they hold a special place in my heart.

If you love romance, drama, loveable characters, adventures, laugh out loud moments, secrets, family dramas, friendship and a fantastic choir.
The you will absolutely adore this series.
So start at the beginning then end with this fantastic book Annie's Summer by the Sea. You won't be disappointed!!!

I know this is the end but I hope one day Liz will take us back as new characters are on the horizon

This is a sweet, emotional,and carefree story!

This is the final book in this delightful series! When I first received this book I had no idea it was part of a series so I decided I better read the other books before I read this one, and I’m sure glad I did! Such a lovely lovely series from first book to third! A beautiful beautiful setting, wonderful wonderful characters, and deliciously delightful storylines! This book was definitely the cherry on top of the series sundae!

In this book annie and Josh are about to get there happily ever after! But will a big storm foil their plans? A book about family, friendship, love, and community! In a story about a wedding, a house, and emotion....

This book will make you smile and spill some tears, recommend! And I’m very much looking forward to the next series from Liz Eeles.

Over the past year or so I’ve fallen in love with Liz Eeles writing and this adorable series that follows Annie as she relocates to the quaint little village of Salt Bay. As much as I was eager to read this final installment and see how Annie and Josh’s story would end it was bittersweet saying goodbye to these characters who feel like friends.

Annie’s transformation since the first book is amazing, Eeles took her on quite the personal journey. The supporting characters also went through many changes and I think this was the most emotional book in the series by far. There is still plenty of humor and lighthearted moments to be found, but there are several moving storylines as well that touched me.

I’m someone that appreciates a neat and tidy ending and the epilogue in this book was utter perfection! This is just such an ultimately satisfying series and one I highly recommended to anyone who wants a light, easy and funny read.

This book was fun to read. What a wonderful little seaside town, Salt Bay, in Cornwall this was. Made me want to go visit. The old house they talked about sounded amazing also. This was about family, love, heartache, sadness ... a nice story overall! I miss not reading the others before this but I didn’t feel like I needed to in order to understand this book on its own. I will to check them out after this one.

It is so good to be back in Salt Bay, but it also feels like an end of an era. I can only assume that this is the last book in the series because if it is, I couldn't have wished for a better conclusion for such a wonderful bunch of characters.
Well, apart from Toby.

I would highly recommend reading this series in order as each book continues the story from the previous novel, making missing out on vital pieces of information incredibly high if you were to read the books out of order.

Annie and Josh's relationship seems to be going from strength to strength and, seeing as Annie has never felt like she has belonged anywhere, it was truly lovely to finally see her settled in a place that she can call 'home'.

I became a little bit emotional when I realised that a certain character wasn't going to be in the spotlight any longer, as because I have read these books from the beginning and followed each characters story, I felt like I was losing a friend. Daft I know.

Toby has made his presence known the whole way through the series, yet in this book he seems to be everywhere! I was hoping that he would see the error of his ways and find someone to give him a personality transplant, but, as nobody was willing, I tried to ignore him. Safe to say it didn't work and he still got right up by nose! What an arrogant codswallop! Fantastic to read about I must say, definitely entertaining!

For me, the community spirit that laced this storyline, ended up being the star of the show ten times over. The warmth and strength the community gave to Annie and her family in her time of need, was incredibly touching and brought such joy to my own heart whilst I was reading it. The community went above and beyond but to them, it was as though the weren't doing anything out of the ordinary. Personally, I think that they're all stars, deserving the spotlight the author put them under.

I loved how cosy this story was, and I especially loved how much I found myself giggling. The author writes in such a natural, heart-warming manner, going between various scenarios flawlessly. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about 'Annie's Summer by the Sea' - it is definitely my favourite book of the series!

A laugh out loud, free-spirited and touching read - can I pack my bags and go live in Salt Bay now, please?!

Well I spent the last 20% or so of this book on the verge of tears, then again I was almost in tears near the beginning too for other reasons. This is a story that took me on a trip through the emotions, and was a joy to read.

I suspect that this may be the last book of this series, and I would definitely recommend reading them all in order for everything to make the most sense. It took me a short amount of time to get back into the swing of the overall series having been a while since I read book 2, but once I remembered I found myself really enjoying this book.

I can't really comment on the plot as I don't want to give any spoilers to something key near the start of the book that triggers most of the rest of the story, but suffice to say this is jam packed with story lines, sub plots, all the characters you know and love from the series are there.

There is a new run in with Toby, Annie's father Barry is starting to grow on me, I love Annie and Josh's relationship and everything to do with Tregavara House and Salt Bay.

Its a fabulous location with great writing that drew me in, and I just was another great book from the author, that I can't really explain why I enjoyed it other than as a fan of the series, I enjoyed seeing the next steps for all of the characters.

Annie's Summer by the Sea is the third and final instalment in the Salt Bay series by Liz Eeles. It's a series in which I have loved simply everything about it as the characters and setting have found a place firmly in my heart. When I discovered towards the end that it would be the last time I would meet and follow Annie and co I was very disappointed. Yet I feel this book was a fitting end to what has been overall just such a wonderful series of books which allows you to simply sit back, relax and enjoy for several hours as you can take your mind off you everyday life.

A lot has happened since Annie Trebarwith first arrived in Salt Bay, under a cloud of duress it must be said, and for those only picking up Annie's story now they needn't fear in the slightest as there is enough filling in of previous events so new readers won't feel all at sea in following the story. Annie is a character who has been on such a journey and most certainly one who has matured greatly. That's partly in thanks to her Great Aunt Alice with whom she lives with in Tregavara House alongside her step sister Storm and Alice's carer Emily. Annie has been through an enormous amount in a relatively short space of time. She is not the same person who arrived in Salt Bay and thought what in god's name am I doing in such a small,backwards,coastal village where I can't even get a phone signal let alone wi-fi?

Annie feels life is now perfect for her as she is settled at the house and finally things with her boyfriend. and in this case soon to be fiancée, school teacher Josh couldn't be going any smoother which is a relief considering all the frustrations I experienced regarding their relationship in book two. The only niggle at the back of Annie's mind is that she can see Alice is beginning to fade before her eyes but surely there is life in the old dog yet? As for Tregavara House the roof is in a state of disrepair but fingers crossed the patch up will hold for as long as possible. Annie deeply wants her life in Salt Bay to remain the same and unchanged. If she could freeze frame this moment of perfection in time she would do so but she knows in her heart that this can't be the case. It's just the question whether she can overcome all the challenges, upsets and upheavals that are about to head in her direction.

The first trauma to befall her is the loss of Alice. Both Annie and the reader knew at some point this was coming given her declining ill health but still it is a shock to see a beloved character gone just like that. Alice was 'one of those people whose life force vibrates like an aura and seems inextinguishable'. But sadly that life force has gone and now the woman who had in some way slightly made up for the absence of her mother has left her and I feared Annie would simply fall apart. It was so lovely to see the deep love and admiration Annie had for Alice. she appreciated that she had been given a new start in life and the bond they struck up was unique and special. It was a beautiful relationship that developed between the pair and could never be replicated.

When Annie lost her mother she was alone and adrift but this time it is different. Of course she feels the loss of Alice deeply but now she has Josh by her side and she will need him every step of the way as cousin Toby, the enemy of previous books makes a reappearance. He claims the house is now his having left it by Alice in her will. What can Annie do? Herself, Josh, Storm and Emily will be out on the streets forced to leave the house and an area that mean so much. For Annie 'this marvellous old house is my anchor and the antidote to my lonely chaotic life in London'. Will she be able to let it go or does fate have plenty more in store for her? I always thought Toby had such bad intentions, he was never genuine although he put on a front and tried to be. All this pretence that he really cared for Alice when his long term goal was really to get his hands on the house and make money from it. I still don't like him now having finished the book and wished Annie was firmer and spoke some home truths to him.

Annie was completely different, she felt a connection to the house and Salt Bay in general. It's where she felt at peace with both the village and the people and where she has found true love. Through one thing and another Annie is left the house, you'd think that would see the end to the trouble but realistically it is only very much beginning. The problems with the roof only increase and cascading water destroying her wedding dress doesn't help matters either. Annie and Josh are faced with a choice sell the house and have enough money to get married or forgo their wedding and try and find funds for the roof. Not an easy decision to make and it sees the pair wracked with guilt no matter what they do. I didn't envy either of them faced with such a life changing choice and given the connections they have with the house what would they ultimately do?

When the main points of the plot had been established I enjoyed reading how everything was going to pan out. I felt Annie was once again faced with so much and none of her problems could be resolved that easily. Her loyalties to both Alice and the house played a huge part in her decision making process. If she sells the house she feels she would be letting Alice down but at the same time she had to take Storm and Emily into account too. The house had become like a refuge for various people and Annie didn't feel comfortable in taking that security blanket out from under their feet unnecessarily. As Annie says 'nothing stays the same however much we want it to'. But surely if she can have some elements of her life unchanged then that would make her happy and complete.

Before Salt Bay she was rootless, lost and unloved and now that she has found those things she is not about to give them up without out a fight. I was so glad Josh was by Annie's side through thick and thin in this book as before I felt at times he very much had his own agenda and didn't always make things easy for Annie. Whereas now he is very much her backbone, her advice and support system and the love they have for each other radiates from the pages. Clearly he wants to spend the rest of his life with her but the way things are going it doesn't seem like a wedding can happen any time soon.

I had mentioned previously that I felt there were characters mentioned in the first two books but very much left on the periphery. Well here I was delighted to see some of those having their moment in the spotlight before we left the charterers for the last time. Jennifer who runs the local newsagents/shop was very much a gossip and the font of all information. She knew everything there was to know about the residents of Salt Bay and was a prominent singer in the Salt Bay Choral Society as re-established by Annie. I really enjoyed her story as it was nice to see that the tables could be turned on her and that a little secret she had been keeping came to the fore. I thought it would work out one way but was pleasantly surprised when things for Jennifer went very much in a different direction. As for Storm, she is still the same typical teenager who beneath it all is deeply affected by the family situation between her parents. I think the only real source of love and affection she feels she can get is from Annie. Storm is not one of the characters I particularity like but her story is interesting.

Annie and Josh are very much in a conundrum for the majority of this story but the reader senses that if they can go the distance and work together then the end will be in sight and maybe a new found happiness can once again be achieved. Salt Bay is a very special place and so too are its residents and when the chips are down they will come together and help their fellow friends and neighbours. Community spirit is very much in evidence, Annie says 'Experiences change us. They either chip away at our defences or build them up'. Well everything she is going thorough will certainly test this statement to the max. I never throughout reading the entire story knew how everything would pan out.

As I came to realise this was the last in the series, I knew issues would need to be resolved as the reader can't be left dangling. The way in which Liz Eeles did this was a joy to read but she did keep me guessing. But she did highlight the friendship, love and camaraderie that exudes from every nook and cranny of Salt Bay. Alice looking down would have been very proud of Annie and co and this ending couldn't have been a more suitable conclusion to what has been such a brilliant series. My time with the amazing Annie and her life changing experiences is now over but the journey was so enjoyable every step of the way.

So now, my mind turns to what Liz Eeles may write next. Will it be a standalone story? Or are a whole new cast of characters and a new different setting waiting in the wings for their stories to be told? Salt Bay will be very hard to replace in my affections but whatever Liz Eeles chooses to write next I for one will be there eager to engage and delight in another story as sublime as Annie's.

We are back with a bang with Annie and the wonderful community of Salt Bay in ANNIE'S SUMMER BY THE SEA by Liz Eeles.

After inheriting Tregavara House, life is good for Annie and those she has come to love in this picturesque Cornish village, and setting down roots is beginning to look very appealing. But as always, life is never that simple, and Annie soon finds herself with a house that is falling apart and a wedding that may not even happen. Can Annie save the home she loves and marry her dream man in a place that has become so special to her?

The third book in this series, ANNIE'S SUMMER BY THE SEA by Liz Eeles can easily be read as a standalone but I know that you will want to read the others in this witty and light series so treat yourself and buy the set!
As always the setting of Salt Bay comes alive and you can smell the sea, and taste the freshness of the air as you get lost among the quirky and loveable community. The characters are dynamic, relatable, and likeable and I flew through this book in one sitting.

This is my first book by this author and now want to read her others as such an excellent read with great characters and story line didn't realise it was part of a series now want to read the others so much. Such a Devine read and such a simple read full of romance and set in beautful Cornwall what more could you ask for. Has you laughing in places but will it end happily ever after or not but when families are involved it never runs soomthly.
Annie has been caring for her great aunt in Cornwall in a beautful village but when she passes away and she is left her house which is very run down she is very surprised but she loves the house so much as set on a cliff top at salt bay. Could it be her forever home or not. Sadly someone else in the family thinks he will get the house but instead he gets a painting width thousands. Josh has been going out with Annie for some time and he drops down on one knee and asks Annie to marry him and she says yes. One summer night there village has a bad storm and Annie's house is in a bad state of repair and the storm damage she the roof badly and Annie is worried as they can't afford to repair it so suggests selling it back to the family memeber who wants it but it still not what she wants to do. She also says they will have to delay the wedding but other people have other ideas and say it can go ahead. While at the wedding her dad gives her a surprise present and can it help save the house or is it past that now. She has ideas before she thinks of selling her house of changing it to a b&b and gaining money that way but does it all work out a shame planned or not.
Amazing read just can't put it down just a Devine read highly recommend this book.

This book was the third and last in the series starring Annie, and I am glad I read them all, but this book can easily be read as a standalone as well.

Annie and Josh are back, this time planning their wedding. The whole village of Salt Bay gets involved, as they seem to do with all aspects of their lives anyway. This can be annoying at times, I am sure, but most of the time it is a good thing to be part of a close-knit village. The descriptions of Cornwall make me want to visit, that's for sure!

The usual village shenanigans occur, new romances blossom and Annie and Josh's path to married life is a bit of a zig-zag path instead of a straight line. Does Annie's dodgy cousin Toby become a reformed character in this book? Does her Aussie friend Kayla manage to keep her mouth shut occasionally? What about great-aunt Alice's health?

I like this tale of village life and its inhabitants. If I had to choose between Salt Bay and a large city, I would pick Salt Bay every time.

4.5 stars from me.

I fell in love with this series and was so excited when this book came out!

I love the setting of the book and the characters are the ones I have come to know and love. The plot was great and it has the same excellent writing style.

This can easily be read as a stand alone but I really recommend that you read the whole series if you do get a chance. It has been a great series and I will be sad to say goodbye.

Five stars from me, I really, really enjoyed it!!

This is the 3rd book in a series, and had I known that, I probably wouldn't have chosen to request it to review. But I'm so glad I didn't do my research before requesting it, because it was a fun, enjoyable read. Set in a seaside Cornish town that I'd love to visit, the book is centered on Annie, her friends and family, her relationship with her boyfriend Josh, and the challenges they all face trying to keep their ancestral home. I liked the wit and humor in this story, along with the likable, realistic characters and what is described as a lovely village setting. I pictured the scenery in Doc Martin, which is filmed in Cornwall. My only regret is not having read the first two books, but this can definitely be a stand-alone book. I will certainly be reading the other books in this series, to read more about how Annie's life led her to the events in this book. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a nice, family story, a romance, or books set in England.

I actually read the first of this series when I was on holiday in Cornwall, so it was very apt and I fell immediately in love with Salt Bay and its inhabitants. It's such a delight to be back amongst them all in this beautiful story.

This story moves on and we have Annie inheriting her home of the last few years, Tregavara House. Crumbling as it is with a bit of a temperamental roof, it's where she feels at home as she shares a lot of the memories from the previous books here with Alice, Josh, Storm and Emily. Things have moved on slightly with Annie and Josh (aka Poldark) and they are planning their wedding. Obviously things go slightly wrong but this is where the lovely community step in. They are her extended family and I loved Liz Eeles descriptive writing of them.

From Roger and Jennifer to lovely old Cyril they are special in their own way and after getting stuck into the previous books, they also feel like your extended family.

Liz Eeles has written a beautiful story full of emotion and I admit I did get teary eyed a few times (especially at the end and near the beginning), a lot of humour and most of all, a real sense of community spirit with all the residents of Salt Bay. I've said it before but I will say it again but I felt sad finishing this book but also glad that I have had the opportunity to read them!

I can highly recommend this lovely series!

This is the third book written by Liz Eeles that I have read and the third book that I have utterly adored. There were so many things about the book that I loved but more about that in a bit.
Annie Trebarwith is one of those characters that you instantly take a liking to. That girl just doesn’t have a bad bone in her body. Following heartache in London, she travelled down to stay with her great aunt Alice in Salt Bay at Tregavara House, which has been in the Trebarwith family for years and years and years. Alice sounded like the kind of great Aunt that I would have loved- a lovely old lady, with a hint of eccentricity but someone who you could confide in and who would make the world seem a better place. Alice thinks the world of Annie and looks on her like a granddaughter. It’s fair to say that they idolise each other. Annie is devastated when Alice is admitted to hospital and she is naturally devastated when Alice dies not long after she returns back to Tregavara House. Annie is kind and compassionate and soon realises that although it is a tragedy that Alice has died, the manner of her death is just how she would have wanted to go- in her sleep. Even when Alice’s distant cousin is being an arse (pardon the language), Annie is kind and understanding towards him. Annie is kind and compassionate towards her half sister, her great aunt’s carer and even towards her father. He occasionally embarrasses her, she recognises his faults but she doesn’t try to change him and instead gets along with him. Annie is together with a dishy dreamboat sounding man called Josh Pasco, who is a school teacher. A couple of times, I did want to slap Josh across the chops several dozen times with a wet fish for the way that he was behaving. Josh proposes to Annie and she accepts. Will Annie get the happy ever after ending that she so deserves? Will Annie manage to get her house repairs done? Well for the answers to those questions and more you are just going to have to read the book for yourselves to find out for yourself as I am not going to tell you.
I have to admit that I was hooked on ‘Annie’s Summer By The Sea’ from the moment I picked up my Kindle never mind from when I started reading. After reading the first two books in the series, I knew just what sort of book ‘Annie’s Summer By The Sea’ was going to be and what was likely to be in store. I picked up the book at an ideal time because I was in need of a distraction and in need of a laugh. Well this book had that in spades and more. By the time I got to the bottom of the first page, I just knew that this was one book that I would be unable to put down and so it proved. I just needed to read on and on and on to see what happened. The page numbers and the time passed in a blur and when I first looked up, I had cleared over half of the book but because I was enjoying it so much, I hadn’t noticed how far I had got in the book. The writing style and descriptions of the characters are such that you can’t help but be drawn into the story and start to care about the characters. The characters were so well described that I really did feel as if I lived amongst them and they came alive. I even began to see most of them as friends and I began to feel very protective of them. Reading ‘Annie’s Summer By The Sea’ was certainly an emotional rollercoaster of a read. There were highs, there were lows, the book made me want to cry at times and on more than one occasion I found myself chuckling along with the book or at something that had happened. The descriptions of Salt Bay were so vivid, that I almost had my bags packed as it sounded so adorable and picturesque that I wanted to move in!!
I really did adore this book and there is certainly something for everybody within its pages. I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to other readers. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a well deserved 5* out of 5*.

It feels good to read about summer in a cold and rainy day! Annie’s Summer by the Sea is the perfect remedy to any cloud!

Annie has gone a long way since her arrival in Salt Bay. She has settled with her aunt, she has the perfect boyfriend, she is surrounded by friends. Happy life in Cornwall!

But as Annie realizes, nothing stays the same forever.

My heart broke, was torn, mended, filled with hope, crushed, gently put back in my chest, and finally found happiness.

Tell it like it is, have it out, and sort it out.

Yes, I cried. Why? You will have to read the book to find out! Liz Eeles brings new layers to a familiar place and familiar faces you are elated to get back to and she knows exactly how to bring her story to life!

It was wonderful to learn more about the secondary characters we previously met. They are the heart of Salt Bay and this series would not be the same without those endearing faces. I want to move there and shop at Jennifer’s before getting a drink at Roger’s! Humor is all around and there are so many references, from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to Doctor Who that every detail makes you smile.

Whatever next? Doctor Who getting it on with the Daleks?

Annie has definitely changed from the young London girl she once was but she firmly and for good sets her root in this installment. I adore her for her anxious mind going crazy, her humor, and the fact she is so relatable and not Hollywood perfect! Josh absolutely is, and I wouldn’t mind finding my own yummy Josh!

This story is about how things change, for better or for worse, and how we can handle it, or not! The subject resonated with me as I often wonder about what ifs. Things being good around me make me suspicious and keep me wondering how long happy times can last.

Everything changes, from the weather and people’s mind to Alice’s health. And however I want my life in Salt Bay to stay the same forever, I know in my heart that it won’t.

Annie’s Summer by the Sea is a picture of life, a fantastic breeze of air which allows you to remember what is important and how to keep on going with a smile on your face and love in your heart.

Annie Trebarwith has found a home in Cornwall: the slightly offbeat, often meddlesome and gossipy town of Salt Bay, courtesy of her great-aunt Alice. It’s been nearly a year since the very unhappy Annie arrived in Salt Bay – and much has changed. She’s found a home here, a connection to the old house and place, home to generations before her. From isolation and loneliness, Annie has amassed a half-sister, a father she never knew, a cousin who is best left in London, an Aunt that she loves dearly, her caregiver in the form of a young, socially awkward girl and a boyfriend. She’s also found a best friend in the outrageous and often blunt-spoken Australian Kayla: and plenty of villagers all singing in the choir. But, money is more than tight, the old house needs work, and cousin Toby is a constant thorn.

But with Alice’s death shortly after her 84th birthday – things are thrown into chaos as Toby, being himself, announces that they will all be needing to find a new home as he’s got plans for the house. Suddenly, Annie’s security and family have been threatened – until it is revealed that Alice left the house to her. Money is tight, a spring storm shows the repairs are more a desperate need than a ‘patch and hope’ job, and inheritance taxes are huge. Add to that, Toby’s constant pressure to sell and a change in her relationship with Josh- a wedding is on the horizon: without money for splashy do, barely enough for a dress, and plenty of worries about the future of the house and Annie’s place in it.

Best read as part of the series, but certainly enjoyable on its own: the ongoing saga of Annie’s life in Cornwall – a place she never wanted to be, has shown her and us just how much Salt Bay and Trevegara house have wormed their way into her very being. Finding and making a family, one she didn’t have as a child, becoming accepted into the community and struggling to find a way to keep the house and her place in it doesn’t make for a clear path, or an easy one. But, there does seem to be some intervention, divine and otherwise as the members of the choir take over the wedding planning, a ‘test guest’ for her B & B idea makes waves with the newsagent, her father comes through in the most unexpected way, and a dress, the PERFECT dress appears at the bottom of a trunk long ignored. Unsure and unconvinced that Cornwall and Salt Bay were the place for her, Annie discovers just how important the place and it’s people have become to her, and being a Trebarwith in Trevegara house is meant to be. If you’ve not read this series and want to escape to the coast with laughter, love and some truly memorable people, grab this one now….

This is the third book in the Salt Bay series. It can be read as a standalone, but it does have references to previous books so I would recommend reading the others first. For information, it is set in the fictional seaside village of Salt Bay in Cornwall.

The instalment of the series brings us back to Salt Bay and Annie Trebarwith. Annie’s family home of Tregavara House begins to suffer from the effects of the stormy Cornish weather and it looks like Annie and her boyfriend, Josh, are facing a huge bill to repair the ancient cottage. This makes Annie wonder whether Salt Bay could be her forever home or will they need to consider moving out of the village. Josh has also been thinking of their future and pops the question! Can they afford to save Tregavara House or will the wedding have to be put on hold.

Welcome back Annie! How nice it is to be back in Salt Bay with Annabella Sunshine Trebarwith. I love this series so far and this one is no exception! If you’ve read the other two books, you’ll know the story of Annie and how she was summoned to Salt Bay by her Great Aunt Alice. Annie’s character has come on leaps and bounds over the last two books and it’s lovely to see her settled in this book with the love of her life, Josh. There are still plenty of my favourite characters here, with some new ones thrown in.

As usual, the book is full of love and laughs. There are also some tears thrown in for good measure and it is heart-breaking to lose one of my favourite characters. Whilst you know there’s always going to be a happy ending, it’s a lovely story to get to it!! I also love the little epilogue at the end of two years later, but it does make me wonder if this is the last of the series. Whilst, if it is, it’s ended on such a wonderfully written story, I shall be so disappointed to not have any more of Annie’s adventures!

It takes a village. A village by the sea in Cornwall to be exact. Let's be honest- this is a sweet story of a community banding together to help a young couple buffeted by unexpected problems. Annie's inherited her aunt's family home in Salt Bay, her boyfriend Josh has proposed and they're planning a wedding and then...a storm. Everything is knocked sideways and only with the help of others do things come together. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This is a cheery happy (even when there are sad things) novel.

I thoroughly enjoyed this lovely book because of the engaging characters, entertaining story and the mix of predicaments.
Annie Trebarwith has inherited her family’s ancient, in desperate need of repair house in Cornwall. Her boyfriend, Josh Pasco, supports her in every way but a pushy cousin and a series of unfortunate e vents may cause Anne to sell the home to her cousin. The lovely town residents flock to her side, warming her heart eve more for them and for her new home. However, the huge debt for fixing the house may be more than Annie can bear.

Liz Eeles hits it out of the park again. I’ll miss reading about Salt Bay and I wish the author would consider writing more in the series. Maybe from the point of view of other characters?

I’ll miss visiting with these characters. Do pick up this series if you need some cozy escapism.

This is a great story that continues the story of Annie and her Tregawith family, including the mansion house that she inherits. It is a great romantic comedy that will have fans turning pages.

Thank you to Bookouture for letting me take part in this tour. I read the second book in this series at Christmas and I loved Salt Bay and I couldn't wait to return. 

Annie and Josh are now living happily in Tregavara house along with Alice, Annie's Great Aunt Storm, Annie's half sister, and Emily, Alice's carer. Annie and Josh are happier than ever. Annie is just as likeable as she was in the previous book and I couldn't help but root for her. 

Storm has settled down since she's been living with Annie and the others. She's got a Saturday job and she's attending school and making friends. But poor Alice's health is rapidly declining and Annie isn't sure how she will cope without her. 

Salt bay is a village nestled in Cornwall. It has beautiful cliffs and a gorgeous beach. I enjoyed my escape from this chilly spring to the warm and beautiful Salt bay. This book is full of warm inviting characters. The villagers are a force of nature and will do anything for one of their own. I admire their loyalty and community spirit.

There were no big twists in this book. It was easy to see where the story was going but it is delightfully written. Liz's writing has the perfect mix of romance with a smidge of drama. I look forward to more of  Liz's books in the future.

I have been wanting to read this novel ever since I heard that Liz would be releasing another one in the series. The cover is stunning (just like the rest of them), this one in particular - I adore the pink sky, gorgeous looking sandy beach, the lighthouse in the background - it all works so perfectly and is just so inviting.

I've enjoyed the past two Salt Bay novels so much that I actually feel a teensy bit jealous whilst reading them, it sounds like such a perfect place to live that I wish I could live somewhere like that! I love the main character Annie, she seems so lovely and I love that there is also humour in these novels. Where all the villagers are lovely, the scenery is stunning and life just seems perfect!

This is just what Annie thinks too, but after some not-so-lucky events take place, Annie feels let down and not-so-lucky with her life anymore. Everything seems to be going wrong, and it seems like a huge sign not to marry boyfriend Josh when a leaky roof ruins her wedding dress! However, the lovely community of Salt Bay all come together and I really, really enjoyed how this book ended.

I just find all of the characters really lovely and caring and not for the first time I find myself wishing I could live in a little tight-knit community like this. I found the Jennifer storyline a little intriguing as I really wasn't sure where it was going to go but there were some serious laugh-out-loud moments - I love Kayla! The setting of the book sounds absolutely gorgeous as well, and I was daydreaming about possibly visiting Cornwall for some time after finishing this novel!

Overall, another beautiful book to go in the Salt Bay series. I have a feeling this could be the final one in the series, but I'm hoping there's a spin off and we could possibly take a look into Kayla's life in more detail, maybe? This is the third book in a series that I thoroughly enjoyed - it was a lovely adventure traveling with the characters found in these pages as they navigate living in a small seaside town of Salt Bay.
Annie, the heart of each story, is definitely a three-dimensional character who you absolutely empathize with as she faces the highs and lows of life. It is pleasure to find out she is going to definitely get her man as he is going to put a ring on it. This was a lovely book in so many ways but it also was a heartbreaker for anyone invested in this story. So many things come to a natural end in this particular book allowing the reader to see how various tales developed through books one and two play out. Liz Eeles write so well that you can smell the sea breeze as it comes through the windows of Tregavara House, Annie's family home.
For anyone who likes a good romantic tale with a little bit of drama and intrigue thrown in with a cast of quirky characters who bring a smile and a tear to your face then this is the book and series for you..

When I bought Annie's Summer by the Sea I was equally thrilled and saddened at the same time! I was super excited to be back with Annie and the gang, I had so many questions! Were Annie and Josh still together, what was happening with Kayla and Ollie? to see what Barry had gotten up too?, or is Storm had got into anymore more trouble, but what I wasn't expecting was the story I received, don't get me wrong, all those questions were answered, but there was also so much sadness, more family drama, which unfortunately lead to something I most feared! But what will happen in the end?!

Yet again Author Liz Eeles has truly made a story that I could go on and on about forever, but it I would totally give away the story, what I will say is, by the end of the book, I was so full of love and happiness! The Salt Bay series is definitely going to be one of my all-time favorite series, and I can’t help but harp on about how amazing the authors writing is, at times I honestly cannot put it into word, I do love the simplicity and the uniqueness of all 3 book, and it brings a refreshing change into the contemporary romance world.

With that being said, I give Annie's Summer by the Sea 5 stars

A brilliant read about what families mean and the love you go through to keep things in the family.
We have Annie who inherits great aunts Alice's home overlooking the Cornish sea but it's almost failing at the seams and there's no hidden boxes with the fee to fix it up. the cousin is so hateful about it he goes out of his way to try and bribe Annie to get it himself for his own gratitude. Annie's boyfriend is there to help but sometimes he made me mad by wanting her to sell the house... I thought he was a gold digger. He proposes and we beg the question? do they get married, can the house be fixed? does the cousin get what he wants. all is to be told in this book if you read it.
It's the last in the series and because I'm odd, Its my first read by this author and therefore I read it as a standalone book and it was easy to follow.
beautifully wrote, very easy to read, stunning location but if I'm honest I'm sick of reading about Cornwall now.

Great to be back with all of the Salt Bay characters but sad that this is the last book in the series.....I have loved all of the books they are so full of lovely characters and it had been great following their stories until they feel like they really are friends
