Oh god, no! Oh god help me… how am I going to save them? There’s just so much… blood… everywhere…

I was supposed to protect them. I was supposed to keep them safe, but wherever I go more and more people are losing their lives, and nothing I do can save them. After so much loss, my family is breaking apart at the seams.

The Taoree Legion is winning this war. No matter what we do or how we fight back, we can’t seem to gain any ground. They’re one step ahead of us at every turn. The world is crumbling before my very eyes, and I can’t seem to stop it.

I don’t know how I’m going to do it, but I swear with everything I am that I will kill Emperor Thelonious Serparla for what he’s done to us, to my family, to the human race, to the entire world. By god, I will take him down, or I will die trying.

Dissolution is Book Three in the Taoree Trilogy and is meant to be read as part of a series. This book brings the conclusion of the series, and the happy ending we’ve all been waiting for.

***WARNING: This book is recommended for ADULTS ONLY. It is rather gruesome, so if you don’t like violence, death, blood, and the like, don’t read it. There’s also explicit language, as well as romance and graphic sexual content between two male characters.***

Michele is married to an awesome guy that puts up with her and all the burnt dinners she makes—hey, sometimes characters are a bit distracting, and who doesn’t plot when they’re supposed to be cooking? They live together in Baltimore, Maryland with two little monsters, a three-legged princess, a four-legged goofball, and a cutie with giant ears (aka their two kids, their two cats, and their dog). She hopes to rescue another cat soon, and if her hubby wouldn’t kill her, she’d get more than one… and maybe a few more dogs as well.

She loves creating worlds filled with lots of love, chosen family, and of course, magic, but she also likes making the characters fight for that happy ending. She hopes to one day write all the stories in her head—even if there are too many to count!

Oh God. I can't believe I'm writing this after books one and two but I didn't love this one. I skimmed the middle half at least as it was just too long and repetitive for me - I didn't see the point of being told about battle after battle, and hearing Jeremy and Orr profess their love a little to repeatedly - it just got a bit samey. That said, if you liked the dialogue between the two MCs and the fight-action you will prob love this book. If it had been about 100 pages shorter, maybe I would have too :(

I'd like to see Wes' story - the taster looked good.

:(

I have to admit that I am very disappointed in this one. The first two books in the series were ridiculously amazing, and when I read this, lets just say that I was wondering if it was written by the same author. And this hurts me to say this, because I have loved everything I have read from Michele Notaro.

The first two books in the series had not only amazing world building, but a great storyline as well. I loved the two MCs, and the other characters that came and went from their lives. This book however was more character involved than story based. I feel like she just threw something together to get it out there. Here’s to hoping that Wes’ story is much better.

First of all, Michele HOW COULD YOU! MY POOR HEART!
Now that that's out of the way, it feels bittersweet to be left in a "happy for now" with a set up for the spinoff of a book written in 2018 that hasn't been published yet. Several plot points were left in the air for it so I'm worried they won't be concluded now. I'll be left itching for a while. I hope Michele circles back to it eventually, even if she only does one book for it

So the love interest in the 1st book for Jeremy was Colt... Colt dies... & then Orrean is his replacement. TBH, i thought the author was going to bring Colt back to life because honestly Jeremy & Orrean had no chemistry & it felt forced & i couldn't believe that Orrean was truly his replacement. Even at the end of the series i thought "so is Colt gonna come back to life & save the day or are we still pushing this J & Orr relationship?" The way the author wrote the relationship between Jeremy & Colt was amazing & the character development was GREAT. I believed that relationship & was totally invested. But Orrean just didn't fit to me. A big issue i had with this book is that the series, as a whole, started off as this amazing thriller/action adventure but slowly descended into what felt like a teenage soap opera. For example, an actual line from this book is,"I thought that I was going to lose you. I thought that because of my hair… that you wouldn’t want to be with me.” The characters are in a war zone fighting for their lives but we have time to spend almost an entire chapter with Orrean thinking Jeremy would leave him because his hair was damaged. at times it bordered on ridiculousness & felt like i was reading the diary of a 16 yr old that just had his/her heartbroken for the 18th time that day. Every other paragraph is some long unnecessary drawn-out declaration of love “There was no way in hell I was anywhere near ready to leave him. And he sure as hell wasn’t allowed to leave me, either.” I feel like those moments would be cute, done sparingly. But it seemed like they were every other page! Maybe I'm just a cynical reader so take this with a grain of salt. Some positives i will write though is that the author knows how to WRITE. There weren't any moments were i felt like the author needed to set the scene better, she does a grand job of painting an image. The action sequences kept me on the edge of my seat. The death scenes made me cry. Jeremy is a really well developed character & i really enjoyed taking this ride with him. The author also did a great job with side characters and you get to know them really well.

The war is raging between the Independents and the Legions. Thelonius’ army seems to win every fight, seems to know what their enemy is going to do. Jeremy and his family need to find the mole hiding among them because they need to find a way to bring Thelonius down and end this war.

They didn’t expect to discover something that will probably help them, but also a new threat that can change the end of this war and the future of their people—Taoree and Human.

Dissolution is the last book in the Taoree Trilogy by Michele Notaro. I loved this book, and I was sad to let them go.

Jeremy and Orrean are bonded, they are balu and crazy in love. Even if the war keeps killing their friends, brothers-in-arms, they still have hope to win. They’re a united front, even when they’re mad at each other, they’re unit and ready to do anything to protect the people they love. I adored these two guys—they are beautiful together. I love how united they are, even when things aren’t easy for them. This book was the culmination of their story, of their love and it was breathtaking and beautiful.

I cried a lot…again. We lost someone…again. It broke my heart, but it was consistent with the story and the plot. The MCs are all fabulous, and I loved to see their evolutions, from teenager to survivor, to soldier to adult.
This book is the last one in this trilogy, and finally, we have the end of the war, how they fight Thelonius and a big twist at the end that I didn’t see coming at all. Well, actually, we learn two major things that I didn’t see coming, but that explains a lot of things. The rhythm is different from the first two books, it seems slower and less dynamic, but it made sense to me. In the first two books, they were on the run and trying to find their feet in this war. In this book, the MCs are installed in their role, embraced their fate and planned how to win, not to survive this time. The author transcribes this really well, and even if the rhythm was different, it was consistent in the whole series.
I adored this trilogy, I’m usually not a fan of dystopia, I most of the time find it depressing, but this series is really good, and even If I cried a lot of the time, I couldn’t stop my read. It gives me a lot of feelings from sadness to fear to excitation to love. It was really good and well written.

Now I can only wait for The Taoree Chronicle series to start with Wes’ book. It’s my favorite character, and I can’t wait to read about him.

It’s a huge 5 stars for this incredible family!

This ending is soo bittersweet! 😍 I have loved all these people from the very first book. I love Orrean and Jeremy so much and I’m glad I will still see them in the new series. I can’t wait.

Got to say I was sorely disappointed with this last book of the series. I absolutely loved the first two books, but with this last one it's like MN got lost along the way. There were so many opportunities for her to make the story exciting, but the plot just stagnated. There were so many scenes where Jeremy and Orrean declare their love for the other, that frankly it became a bit annoying and even a little frustrating (Yes, yes, I know, get on with it!). Then there were these giant jumps in time while the Independents were sieging the Legion stronghold and that was yawn city. Instead of developing more of Wes's story and the possibility of meeting his soulmate, MN just drags the situation out, throws in a disposable character, quickly disposes of him, and then decides to write another book about it instead. Sorry, after the monster disappointment that this book was, I'm just done with this series.

I must say that while good, I didn’t enjoy this installment in the Taoree Trilogy as much as I did the first two. It was a bit tedious in places and I was a bit impatient to get to the climax and find out if they were going to defeat Thelonious and how. I found the ending a bit anticlimactic if I’m honest and while I guess you could call it a HEA, I wouldn’t. Maybe that’s not really fair since the relationship between Jeremy and Orrean definitely ended in a HEA. There is just so much left unanswered that I don’t feel the over-arching story ended happily. Still, I did enjoy the book and am waiting to read Wes’s story. Hopefully, it will be out soon.

3?

Główną parę tworzy człowiek Jeremy i taoree Orrean.

Druga sprawa to związek Jeremiego i Orreana.

Ehh!

I am a mixed bottle of emotions right now. I liked this book but it was nowhere as good as the previous.
We are once again brought into the middle of the war with the Legion and Independents. Jeremy and many of his family are right in the center of the action. They have constantly been fighting the Legion for dominance. Always at the front of the lines putting their lives in danger. Its been years since the war begun and all they want is a dissolution.
Here is where I have issue, after going through so many emotions with this trilogy I feel cheated by the ending. After witnessing all the pain and devastation Jeremy and his family had to go through() I would have expected an actual dissolution. Oh no, instead we only receive a HFN. What the actual f**k?! By the end, the war is at a stop with the independents taking control but it's not over. Nope,
It feels like these books were just a big set up for Wes's book and I am mad. Yes, I love this family but they deserve more happiness and not more devastation. I'm really disappointed.
The HFN ending definitely affected my rating.
P.S.

First, make sure you read the first two in this trilogy or you will not understand. Don't worry: they are beyond amazing.

Now, for Dissolution. This book will grab you from the first paragraph and all you can do is hang on for the ride of your life. You will smile, laugh, cry, yell, and every other emotion in between while reading this amazingly beautiful story. Michele Notaro has built this world in so much detail, you almost want to check the skies above you. The characters, whether main or secondary, are detailed and you find yourself wanting to hang out with some while beating others upside the head.

Go, click, and read. Just have tissues handy.

“Thrive and love, as bright as the stars”

What an adventure. I’m still catching my breath. This trilogy has been absolutely fantastic. I felt like a member of Jeremy’s little family. I felt every loss as it it were of my own family. I cried, I laughed, I got pissed off, I wanted to use my own spear and kill some stupid bug-bots myself, and I still want more. Michele Notaro is an excellent story-teller and I can’t wait to dive back into the Taoree world when more books come out. This is a universe that stays with you even after you close the book. Those are the best kinds of stories, the ones that will always stay with you.

SMH.....

Ok let me start by saying the writing was amazing in all 3 books but I'm annoyed!! I'm annoyed because I wanted a happy ending for this group and the war to be over!!! Why in the he'll is there a second fleet coming and we get more books with everyone dying??? WHY??? also this book didn't bring anything new to the story IMO... It was the rinse and repeat to me ... More people dying and they always 2 steps behind .... Now we are going to get fresh books in a different voice but the same sh$t....
YES I'M VERY ANNOYED AND DISAPPOINTED.... Will I continue to read them idk... Book 1 and 2 AWESOME... Book 3 not so much.....

Well I went into this series dragging my feet for two reason, one I don't like cliffhangers, and space aliens and world takeover just aren't my thing. But this series sucked me in and didn't let go until the emotionally exhausting end. This part of the trilogy didn't disappoint at all. It was full of happiness, sorrow, heat, new beginnings, triumphs, and some twists to keep it all exciting. I will be rereading this series to revisit great family of characters. Thanks to Michele for the journey and the ARC of this series.

Another amazing read!

Dissolution is the third and final book of the Taoree trilogy and you have to read the first two books to understand.
We were left with a cliffhanger in book two Independents and this is where Dissolution begins. Was Jeremy able to save Orrean or Wes? Is this the end of the war between the Independents and Legion? You have to read to find out!
This book is amazing and I couldn't put it down! Dissolution is non stop from the beginning. I laughed and cried. I was sitting on the edge of my seat. When I got to the end, I didn't want to stop!

What a great ending to a fantastic trilogy!!! I am not a big fan of sci-fi at all but even I can admit that this author knocked this series out of the park!!! This book picks up where the last book ends. I was hooked from the very first page and hated to see it end. I laughed, cried, and was on the edge of my seat. This book was so worth the wait and I am going to miss them. I highly recommend this book and series to everyone. Another fantastic story....well done!!!

Should be a tv series!

Oh my goodness… that was a hard journey. More loss, death, and destruction. There was much more action than book two. It spans several years and I loved that I could see character growth in everyone. I loved Orrean and liked Jeremy for the most part. I don’t know, there was just something about him, about his reactions to things, that felt off.

We are left with questions about Wesley and his connection to Elijah and his mysterious Balu. I hope we get to see his story as the fight for Earth still continues.

Brilliant!

I completely fell in love with the Taoree Trilogy books and characters. I found myself absolutely immersed in their world and spellbound by the amazing story.
This trilogy felt so different from anything I have read before and Michele's words made it all seem so real.
Dissolution is a fantastic end to the trilogy and I am so, so, so excited to read Wes's story!!

Very good

This was an amazing full length story. It was one of those books that you just could not put down. Although, several times I wanted to reach into the book and b**** slap Jeremy for being an immature jerk. That really did get on my nerves at times. But overall, it was amazingly well written. I definitely will be buying the next books, but I will wait for all of them to get published first. I absolutely hate Cliffhangers.

Dissolution is the third and final book in the Taoree Trilogy. What an amazing ending to this wonderful series!

I was disappointed, I truly enjoyed the prior books but felt like the ending was rushed as you can clearly see that there's going to be more for this series. there were points in the book that weren't finished and it was a grave disservice to the characters involved. I was left very unsatisfied and will not follow Wes story as that was one character that was ruined for me in this book.

Another new favorite author

This author is amazing! Theses books were full of heartache, loss, perseverance, love, and just amazing unity between characters. I loved Jeremy and Orrean’s story. It was expertly written and impossible to put down. Cannot wait to read Wes’s story as the second fleet attacks years later.

Excellent!

From the first book, the story was exceptional. I personally do not like first person stories because I'm just so noisy about others lives/feelings, etc. But I did not feel like I was questioning anything until the end, which will lead to the next series and person life/feelings.
Just wonderful I hope Michele keeps writing mm/sci-fi they are so hard to find.

I really like the story and the characters, but I felt that the story ended abruptly... I’ll be waiting the chronicles and then I’ll give my opinion about Wes story... that is friking me out, because I’m sad (and maybe upset... about Elijah’s destiny...) ok. I’ll wait.

A great end

This third book in the series ended just how I would’ve wanted it! Orrean and Jeremy continue to be super cute together. At first I was bothered by no closure for Wes but once I saw that he was going to get his own book I understood. I can’t wait to read it!

This is a sci-fi/romance mash-up, it is part of a series and must be read in order to make sense! I can’t love this series enough. The world-building and character development is amazing! I sincerely didn’t want this story to end and can’t wait for Wes’ story!
