I love to read. It's a simple fact that has been true since I discovered the worlds of Judy Blume at the age of ten. After years of weekly travel as a consultant implementing computer software into global companies, I ended my nomadic lifestyle to raise my two children. Now, my imagination is my only limitation on where I can go and my writing lets me escape from the daily duties of being a mom, wife, chauffeur, scheduler, cook, teacher, cleaner, and mediator.

If writing wasn't a priority, it would never get done.

Amazing read!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I can honestly say it is a rare occasion when I pick up a book that completely captivated me. A book that makes me gasp. Grabs a hold and just doesn’t let go. There are a few authors that have the ability to write and create a story in such a fashion. But I was honored to read and review an author that has managed to do just that.
This book is one of those that leaves a lasting memory. From the very first scene, the pages are burning hot and so is the sex. The imagery is amazing and I felt so connected to the characters.
I could go on and on and wax poetic about this book, but suffice it to say that if you are looking for a highly erotic and mentally captivating story, you have got to read this book. The character connection and story development is flaming hot and flat out stunning. Just grab it.
The boardroom has never seen this…
Whew! This series breaks any and all protocol that might have been set up for the boardroom. Yeah, protocol = rules and there are few other than doing what you are told. And the reward? Is all worth it…
Brighton knows all about protocol and she soon realizes that ditching it all and following her own feelings won’t break her. They will set her free. And Ryan is there to help her with that. Their coming together was heat and passion, desire at its most simple and complicated. It was easy to play the watcher as they invited you in to feel what they were feeling… Of course real life intrudes, how can it not, but this story was about living your passion and love could beat everything.
Another satisfying read from a favourite author. ~Diane, 4 stars
Lynda Aicher just keeps turning up the heat in The Boardroom and I am loving every minute of it. Even though they all, at some time, end up in the boardroom, each story is different and interesting. This evening it's Brighton and Ryan and they really burn up the pages.
Born and raised in a family that expected her to be a proper lady. Tonight is her night to let lose and live her fantasies. But, there is one touch that scorches her. To bad she is blindfolded and can't see who it is. But, does she really want to know? Will it ruin the fantasy? She can't get the touch or the freedom that she felt out of her mind. One more night, that's all she can allow herself to have. Until she figures out just who she allowed to touch her, to love her and take her places that she never thought she would go. Being with Ryan would be a dream come true for her mother. How does she keep them apart so that he doesn't see the person she becomes when trying to please her? She's in love and is so afraid that, when he sees the woman she is with her, it will ruin it all.
Ryan knew it was Brighton but couldn't stop himself from being there to pleasure the beautiful Brie. How he would work with her after this was beyond him. But, he was professional, he would find a way. Everything and everyone in The Boardroom is kept confidential, he's the lawyer that makes sure of it … can he keep his hands off of her at work? Can he keep the trust that she placed in him outside The Boardroom? And, even more of a problem, how does he quench the feelings he has for her? Coming clean at work and in The Boardroom, it's time for him to admit to those feelings and let her know just what he feels. Now, it's her turn to claim him. But, will she?
Lynda Aicher knows how to write erotic. It's slow, sexy and titillating. The story behind the sex is also very interesting and exciting. She always ensures that there is a story that goes along with the wants and needs of each of her characters that explains why they have made it to The Boardroom. This series brings out everyone's sexual fantasies and I am looking forward to seeing who's next to walk through those doors to live those fantasies and find an HEA.
Blind Trust by Lynda Aicher is book Two in The Boardroom series. This is the story of Brie and Ryan.
Bri and Ryan work for the same company although Ryan is a higher up. With this company comes the Boardroom where people let off steam via sexual encounters. There Bri and Ryan see each other. Both are very hardworking and working toward their careers....but their attraction is starting to be their main focus.
This was a very hot easy read!!
Always intense, super sexy and entertaining, I've never been let down by a book by Lynda Aicher! In this one a woman gets to explore some of her deepest fantasies, only to discover that the man fulfilling them is one of her bosses at work.
Brie decides to take a chance on her sexual fantasies when a friend gives her a night at the Boardroom, a sex club that rotates to different boardroom locations. It's top quality and fully confidential, with non disclosure agreements a must as the men and women who frequent it are well known in the business community. Brie has always wanted to be blindfolded and pleasured by multiple men, and there's a particular man on her night that anchors her and makes her feel safe even though she can't see him. It makes her want to experience it again, and as it turns out, her second night, he's there too. But it's not until she's at work and he calls her by Brie instead of her professional name of Brighton that she realizes that man is none other than one of her bosses at her company, Ryan.
Ryan is the lawyer for the club and he recognizes Brie right away, but he can't reveal to her that he knows who she is. When he inadvertently slips at work, he's already prepared to deal with the professional fallout if she should reveal the existence of the club. But Brie surprises him by wanting to continue her boardroom adventures - with him. What starts as a fun sexual escapade becomes more as they start to care for each other. But Ryan is determined to stay clear of relationships and commitment, even as he discovers he wants to be with Brie outside of their agreement. They work well together, they play well together - can he overcome his issues to be in a real relationship too?
Blind Trust looks at a bunch of kinks including multiple sex partners, exhibitionism, and voyeurism all in the process of delivering a sexy, emotional romance. Ryan and Brie are obviously sexually compatible and while their initial encounters involve other partners, it gradually evolves into a monogamous relationship. Their work relationship gets a bit complicated though they still manage to get their projects done and there are some sexy scenes that happen outside of the official Boardroom club. Trusting one another with sex isn't enough though, and Ryan must overcome some issues from his past to give Brie the happy ending she deserves. There are some interesting secondary characters and I'm looking forward to reading their stories, and more of this series!
I ended up liking this, even if it’s not my favorite Aicher book. I say ended up, because for the first half of this book, I struggled. I did like that they both got off on exhibitionism, and while there's kinky fuckery as a general theme to this series, there's no sharing or OM/OW drama as far as their relationship. I respected the way that Ms. Aicher continues to handle the power imbalance issue in this series well. I just really had a hard time connecting to these two to enjoy it. Add to it the fact that it’s a lawyer romance, not my favorite trope, and well, it was just an ok read in the end.
Now, character-driven romance is usually my favorite. Unfortunately, Brie and Ryan’s characters were all about their individual angst, and their reluctance to fall in love, and angst is not something I intentionally seek in a romance. If I connect with the characters it can work for me, but this didn't quite hit the mark.
However, I readily admit that this had a couple of strikes against it as far as my personal requirements for a romance, so if you’re more into angst than I am, and into exhibitionism as a kinky theme, you may enjoy this more than I did.
4.25-4.5 stars. This was a really good book! Blind Trust is Ryan and Brie/Brighton's story. Ryan is a lawyer/partner at a law firm where Brie is a paralegal, but the two don't know each other well or work closely together. For her birthday, one of Brie's friends sets her up with an experience in The Boardroom, which is an organization where people meetup to participate in or watch prearranged sexy scenes together. Brie has a very sexy night, blindfolded in the boardroom, with an unknown man with whom she feels a strong connection. Later at work, she recognizes the voice of Ryan as the man in the boardroom. The two work closely together on a case and gradually get to know each other. They are both very attracted to each other and neither can forget about what happened between them. Ryan and Brie embark on a tentative journey to a relationship and a forever love.
I have enjoyed both books in the series a lot. They are very sexy, sensual, but also full of emotion. The characters are mature acting with open, honest communication and no silly misunderstandings or pushing away. I adored Ryan and Brie. They were perfect for each other. Neither had ever known love before because of issues from their pasts. They were both innocent of relationships; it was sweet seeing them learn together. They understood each other in a way no one had ever understood them before. In some ways, Ryan was still a lost little boy inside, closed off of all emotion before he met Brie. Once they let each other in, they were awesome together, had great chemistry and and loved each other so much. I really liked the sexy, mysterious vibe of this book. The voyeurism aspect was very hot. There is no sharing or thoughts of sharing outside of their relationship.
Overall, this was another great book for The Boardroom series. I love the vibe of these books. Sexy, but emotional. I'm curious about the other members of the Boardroom and I see an opportunity for more stories there, as well. I can't wait for more from Ms. Aicher!
Blind Trust
4 Stars
As the lawyer for the Boardroom, an exclusive club dedicated to arranging private sexual encounters for adventurous executives, Ryan Burns is well aware of the pitfalls of office relationships. Thus, he is wary when he realizes that the blindfolded woman in his latest scene, Brighton Wakeford, is a paralegal at his firm. The poster girl for propriety, Brie is tired of being the "good-girl" and is determined to enjoy her one night of naughtiness to the fullest. Will Ryan and Brie's encounter in the Boardroom stay in the Boardroom?
Series note: Although this is book 2 in the series, Ryan is briefly mentioned in book 1 and Brie is a completely new character. As such, the book can be read as a standalone.
Lynda Aicher is skilled at merging erotic scenes with compelling characterization and a solid plot. On the surface, Brie and Ryan come from completely disparate backgrounds - hers one of privilege and his of abuse. However, as the details emerge and their relationship develops it is clear that they complement one another both in and out of the "boardroom". Ryan provides Brie with the sense of safety she needs to be the person she wants to be while she encourages him to stop keeping others at arm's length.
The office romance elements are stronger than in the first book as Ryan and Brie work on a case together. Some readers may find the power dynamic problematic, but this was not an issue for me as 1) he is not her direct superior and 2) he never takes advantage of his position.
There is also a minor conflict that develops toward the end; however, it is resolved quickly, which is great as prolonged angst resulting from misunderstandings and miscommunication is exceedingly annoying.
Overall, an entertaining romance although the concept of the Boardroom could do with some more development and focus.
Wowza!!! To say that this is hot would be an understatement. This is BLAZING!!!!
Ryan is the youngest partner of a very well known law firm in the city. He's worked very hard in order to get where he is, and works just as hard to remain there. So blowing off steam in the Boardroom is one of the only places he gets to relax. But while he's getting ready to relax in the Boardroom, he realizes the woman in the room is non other than one of his employees. Well, isn't that interesting?
Brie is an executive assistant at the same law firm mentioned above. She's worked really hard at proving herself worthy, even though she got her foot in the door because of who her parents are. But she's also working hard at being someone she's not. Always on guard to say the right thing, act the perfect way, etc. So when her good friend provides an opportunity for her to let go and just be, she goes for it. And now that she's tasted the freedom, she'll never be the same.
The scenes in the Boardroom are so steamy! It's no wonder Brie wanted to keep going back. But it's also the relationship that builds between Ryan and Brie that drew me in. I wish I could have followed his side a little more, but I think we get enough for it to make sense. Both of these characters have their own personal issues to overcome, and it's great the they are able to use each other to achieve it.
Here's what I think I love about this series so far. Each book has new characters, new experiences and their own "issues" to overcome. Although we get to revisit a character from the previous book, the characters don't actually intertwine. Which is refreshing. And I can't wait for the next one!!!
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
This is the second book in the series, and there is no doubt they keep the thermometer on high! If you have read the first book, you will know the set up - if not, then I would recommend the first to you, but even as a standalone this is a good read. Anonymity and fun in a boardroom somewhere in town, but the world at that level is small, and so it is little surprise that attraction can lead further!
As Brighton is blindfolded, she does not know who is bringing her the pleasure she craves, but Ryan recognises her, but is too drawn to play to be sensible and not touch his co-worker. He has a messy past and no desire to combine passion with romance ... yeah well we all know that Ms Aicher has plans for her leading man, and we get to enjoy both him and Brie loosen up and both choose to give their pleasure and their love to each other. Of course the path is not exactly smooth, but it makes for fun reading.
I am looking forward to seeing who else is going to find out just what playing in the boardroom can lead to ...
I'm really enjoying the whole idea of the Boardroom series! I loved the first book and felt confident in taking the plunge into the series. While i found Brie & Ryan not quite as interesting as the first couple they sure knew how to steam up the Boardroom windows! Brighton is a paralegal and was raised uptight & proper. Ryan is a made his own way successful lawyer with a horrible childhood. During a blindfolded Boardroom encounter Ryan becomes enchanted with the woman who is the main attraction. Brie, almost calling off the whole encounter finds solace in the man who makes her feel safe, even not knowing who that man might is. As it turns out, they work together and Brie finds that Ryan is one of her superiors. The two end up on a work project together and find they are drawn to each other even out of the boardroom. Ryan has an interesting past, he's guarded himself off of love, a workaholic with no need of messy relationships. Brie is from a very formal family and her mother's constant interfering in her love life is tiresome. Brie longs to break loose & be naughty, so the Boardroom is perfect for her because it's anonymous, well, until it's not. We have some of the same issues as book #1 where these people work with each other and find working in the same office while playing in the same Boardroom scenes can become quite messy. It's a great premise for a series and I'm up for book #3!
Love this series so much, I'm already anticipating the next book. This is Ryan and Brighton's (aka Brie)story. Brighton wants to experience a night in the boardroom for her Happy Birthday and so her friend Lori arranges this evening for her; having Jacob bring her. Understandably nervous and blindfolded, once she relaxes enough and seems to gravitate to one man there Ryan, who is also house council and friend of Trevor. When Ryan recognizes Brighton from the law firm they both work at, it sets off a whole different path for these two. Brie meets with Lori and wants to return to the Boardroom one more time and Ryan is there. It's then that what Brie's instinct was telling her was true. That Ryan was the man in the Boardroom. An attorney at the firm she works for and now a man whom she's working closely on a case on. These two are flammable, totally. I wasn't sure which way they would end up and you have to read the book to find out and get the full, panty melting story. I liked Brighton and Ryan both. I didn't care much for Lori her friend and also a member of the Boardroom. There were times when I wanted to smack her when Brie had some very valid questions and Lori's response was not only immature but played Brie's dilemma off like she was insignificant. She really rubbed me the wrong way. But the real story lies between Ryan and Brie and it's another stellar read from the Boardroom. Yes you need this one!
Voyeurs, this is the series for you. The second book in the Boardroom series is sensual, erotic and delicious. I like how Bree is placed in a position of possible conflict when her scandalous private life intersects with her work life. Ryan Burns's sexual predilections matches up to Bree's desires. Their interaction is even hawter because it dances on the line of possible sexual harassment if they bring it into the work place. Is it really feasible to keep your work and private life separate after being intimately involved? The dangers of a sexual interlude going wrong is high.
In real life, this can all end badly. In this erotica, Ms. Aicher kinks it up and brings fantasies to life. The sexual chemistry between Brighton and Bree is exciting. The way they interact with some tentative fear and then roll into an erotic power exchange is fun to watch. This is the kind of romance that feels good. Recommended for romance readers who enjoy spicy sex scenes and like to play voyeur.
Blind Trust is a great addition to The Boardroom series. This book is Ryan and Brie/Brighton's story. Ryan a lawyer where Brie is a paralegal but the two are not familiar with each other. Great characters, a steamy storyline and sexiness that sets the barometer to high, this invitation is definitely a birthday to remember.
Yawn. For an erotic romance, this story was just tepid. I read better sex scenes in the historical romance I was reading concurrently ("Surrender" by Pamela Clare) with this book. There wasn't much of a plot nor emotional tension in this book, either. Brie and Ryan go back-and-forth from "The Boardroom" to work with a dinner and a trip to an apartment. Then it annoyed me when Ms. Archer tried imitating E.L. James by adding in Brie's references to "my libido bitch" throughout the story, similar to Ms. James' "Goddess" references, which I also found extremely annoying.
A blindfolded woman with four guys about to sex her and... I'm bored? I just couldn't get into this mopey story about two mopey people, even with the sex club angle. Ryan realizes blindfolded Brie is the paralegal at his law firm but has sex with her anyway. Ick. After blindfolded booty call #2, Brie finally puts two and two together. She's outraged. And has mommy issues. He's repentant. And has parental issues, too. The end.
Blind Trust is so, so good! A well written erotica that explores trust between two people whose past will forever color their perceptions about relationships. Imlove how Ryan and Brie’s relationship just blossomed from a sex centered one to one that is emotionally intense and so raw at times. Readers who love their erotica with a lot of character development will definitely love Blind Trust.
While this could easily be read as a standalone, I went back and reread the previous book because I misremembered just enough to keep confusing myself! Brie is a paralegal and Ryan is a partner at the law firm she works at. So basically, this is a office romance with a dash of kinky sex club, abusive childhoods, and emotional issues. Brie hides her emotions – hides pretty much her entire self – behind a placid country-club facade – years of her mother nitpicking any perceived flaw have led her to be afraid to be anything other than blandly perfect. The results of Ryan’s abusive childhood mean he expects any sort of relationship to be quid pro quo – if someone does something nice for him, he expects they’re always looking for something in return – and he approaches life very logically, with little to no emotional input. His ex-wife basically called him an emotionless robot. A somewhat anonymous encounter (he recognizes her, but she doesn’t recognize him) at a kinky sex club leads to an awareness that they can’t ignore.
“But just because I don’t share my opinion doesn’t mean I don’t have one.”
She smothered a smile. “Do you ever not debate?”
“Yes.” He waited a beat, face serious. “But it’s more fun if I do.”
“For you, maybe.”
He nodded, smiling just a touch. “Sometimes that’s the only fun I have.”
“Ouch.” Her reflexive thought was out before she’d thought better of it. Was he serious? How…sad. Her heart went out to him when she knew it shouldn’t. But how could it not?
I especially liked the progress of the relationship in this book. There’s not really any giant romantic gestures or big discussions – they just slowly start spending more time together to the point that, by the time Brie needs to find a new apartment, Ryan simply invites her to move in with him, pointing out quite logically that they’re already spending lots of time at his place and then adds in the adorably sweet addendum that he really likes waking up with her and cuddling with her after work. Brie is suffocating in the mold her mother has made for her, and she struggles to figure out if what she feels for Ryan is because she wants him, or because he fits her mom’s “perfect husband” checklist. This – and Ryan’s scars from his abusive family – are the main roadblocks to their relationship, and I thought were handed very well.
“I’m not very good at this.” The honesty came out on a rush of trust he rarely extended.
She ran her fingers through the short hairs near his nape, inciting small shivers that chased each other to his heart. “I’ve noticed.” Her smile matched the teasing spark in her eyes. “And I get it.”
His brows dipped. “You do?”
She lifted to press her lips to his in a short but gentle kiss. “I do.” Her tongue traced a quick path over her bottom lip. “It’s a little new for me too.”
“You?” He shook his head. “I can’t see that.”
Her brow lifted in staunch reprimand. “Getting fucked by my boss in a room full of watchers is not something I can claim experience with.”
As with the previous entry in the series, this book is seriously steamy, with the kink focus being on exhibitionism this time. Besides that, there’s a lot of witty banter between Brie and Ryan, which I loved. The only piece I didn’t care much for was Lori, Brie’s friend who’s a member of the Boardroom and the person who initially set her up with them. She seemed very dismissive of Brie’s worries at times, and I wished Brie would’ve had a more empathetic sounding board.
Overall, I very much enjoyed this book, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a steamy office romance!
I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
From Lynda Aicher, author of the bestselling Wicked Play books, comes an exclusive invitation to the Boardroom—where working late has its rewards
A blindfold. Four men intent on only her pleasure. Knowing she’s being watched. It’s her ultimate erotic fantasy—and it’s really happening.
Brighton Wakeford has played by the rules her entire life. From her country-club upbringing to her job as a paralegal, she’s the image of propriety and class. And she’s tired of it.
An invitation to the Boardroom is Brighton’s chance to transform. Here she’s Brie—free to explore her wildest cravings, her most scandalous desires.
As the lawyer for the exclusive Boardroom club, Ryan Burns knows confidentiality is vital. As a member, he gets off on the controlled ecstasy, the exhilarating balance of trust and power. So when he recognizes a beautiful, blindfolded and very willing new participant as a coworker, he knows he should back off. Brighton Wakeford is business. The Boardroom is about pleasure.
But the rules are about to change.
Review:
This is the second book in the Boardroom series and though I did not read the first book it did not hinder my enjoyment of reading this book.
This book starts out very sexily and does not stop. I liked all the forbidden-ness in the book, from the Boardroom and what goes on in there to the workplace romance. I really liked Bri and Ryan, both separately and only. I found them more likeable as they worked out their issues and became a couple. The Author is very good a writing a well-rounded story. It is a short read, so I easily read it in an afternoon.
The boardroom is back!!!! And it's just as HOT and sexy as the in the first book in this series!
Brie's friend, Lori, gives her the ultimate birthday present...a night in the boardroom to fulfill her deepest fantasy of giving herself over to several men at once. It appears that traditionally Ryan takes a further removed role in the boardroom, interacting in the scene but never wanting to be the star of the scene. Everything changes when he recognizes the beautiful, blindfolded woman who enters the boardroom as a paralegal in the law firm where he is a partner. Ryan is drawn to her and ends up taking on a very active role in the scene, one that has Brie drawn to him.
The next day at the office, Ryan can't stop thinking about Brie and the likewise is true for Brie even though she doesn't know who the mystery man is. She schedules another scene in the boardroom hoping to find him again. Even though Ryan knows he shouldn't, the moment he sees Brie's name on the attendee list for the scene he goes to her.
I loved that Brie had no idea who Ryan was and that it tortured Ryan to know Brie from Brighton whom he saw everyday. Just like in the first book of this series, while the scenes in the boardroom were incredibly HOT, so much of the story took place outside of those rooms. I loved watching Brie and Ryan get to know each other outside of their work relationship. I thought Brie's reaction to discovering who her mystery man actually was, was well written and genuine.
Can't wait for the next installment!
Hm... de verhaallijn is precies hetzelfde als het vorige boek; instant love en er niet aan toe willen geven. Niet zo interessant om te lezen omdat ik het vorige boek zo kort geleden gelezen heb. Had meer van deze serie verwacht; Wicked Play vond ik echt geweldig.
Genre: Erotic romance, fiction
My summary: Ryan is a successful partner at a respected law firm, as well as a member of the Boardroom, a private sex group. When Ryan arrives to a scene with a blindfolded woman, he never expected it to be someone that works for his company. Brighton is a bright paralegal and has lived under her mother’s scrutiny and expectations her entire life. When her friend gifts her with a visit to the Boardroom for her birthday, she agrees to go but blindfolded and with anonymity, known as Brie not as Brighton. As Brie discovers an uninhibited part of herself in the Boardroom, she also finds an attraction to one of the men. Soon, Ryan and Brie learn just how hard it can be to mix business and pleasure.
My thoughts: I really enjoyed this audiobook! I loved listening to the male narrator, who makes it extra steamy. Although obviously hot, this book is also pretty sweet. I liked the character development and that there was an actual plot and not just smut, although, don’t get me wrong, there’s still plenty of smut involved. It was a great listen and I’m sorry to see that my library doesn’t have the last book of the series on audiobook.
Brie has been brought up to hide everything and to bow to what her mom wants and thinks is right for her..but her friend Lori gets her time in the "Boardroom" for her birthday. While there she is surrounded by a few..There is one man that makes her feel safe ...Turns out it is Ryan. Little does she know that she works for him since she is blindfolded for the scene. He takes care of her and he is the only one that she wants to be with..Fast forward to them working together on a case when he calls her by Brie. No one at works knows that..that is when she figures out it was him..Can she move on from that without embarrassment? The more they work together though they fall for each other..they are professional at work but go out together and have dates outside of work. Ths was a really good book. This one you learn if you can put all the hurts of your past and your life right now to be happy with each other.. I loved the characters and the storyline
I had a really hard time getting through this one, and I think it was primarily the audiobook performers and not the story. I usually enjoy Lidia Dornet’s performances, but something about this one hit me wrong. Her voice gets really excitable when things heat up, and usually it works, but not this time. I’m not sure if I’ve listened to Aiden Snow before. His voice is fairly deep, and maybe because he’s so low in the range, there wasn’t a lot of variation in his tone. I’m not sure if it was a bad mix or just the natural contrast in their voices, but I was continually having to adjust the volume as the performers alternated.
At this point, the only real complaint I have about the book is that it was hard to connect to book 1 early on. The secrecy of the Boardroom participants means they may not know about everyone involved, but it’d be nice if readers got more of a sense of who the players are in this one.
Another solid story from Aicher. Though I have to admit, while I'm all for a good office fantasy, sex on a conference table with the regularity these Boardroom members experience it, would be hell on my back.
Ryan and Brie were so similar in their efforts to hide their emotions; Ryan going so far as to convince himself he didn't have any. But once they connect anonymously in their first scene together, there is an instant connection. They way they slowly get to know one another outside of Boardroom play was a beautiful mix of tenderness and vulnerability. They are two damaged people who have found each other and bring out the best in one another. Is it enough to sustain them when reality intrudes on their insular bubble of happiness? Only time will tell. (Hint: Yes.)
(Still waiting to learn more about Trevor and whether or not he gets his HEA.)
Prim and proper Brighton goes to the Boardroom for her birthday. Blindfolded she lets four men pleasure her, but only one man makes a true connection. Turns out that one man is one of the men she works for but she is unaware. The author does a great job making a reader feel Brie's fears and second thoughts as well as her passion as she let's go of inhibitions and embraces pleasure. Ryan is a partner in the law firm Brie works at and we get to understand his conflicts and desires with Brie, as he continues to be drawn by Brie. These characters are portrayed as real people with real issues that flare up between them but the maturity to work them out together. There's a lot of steamy, sensual sex scenes but they enhance the story and relationship. Great read!
Brighton Wakeford has played by society’s rules and adhered to her mother’s sense of propriety but is chafing at the bit. She gets an invitation to The Boardroom where Brighton becomes Brie and she is free to act out her own fantasies. When he hears her name, Ryan Burns realizes she is a paralegal in his law firm and he sets out to watch over her but passion soon flares and they have sex in front of the others. Back at the office, Ryan can’t stop thinking of Brie and catches himself calling her that.
Around her mother, she is still the buttoned-up Brighton but with her nights at The Boardroom, she becomes freer and the old Brighton is taken over by Brie. Ryan had a tough childhood and does not think he is good enough for Brie. As she tells him, the past is the past.
Sensual story of discovery and love.
Lynda Aicher delivers another wonderfully creative story in Blind Trust the third offering in The Boardroom series.
Brie and Ryan are a fascinating couple.  While they have known each other for years it's only when the meet anonymously at The Boardroom that sexual tension begins to grow.  Each of them comes with different baggage and it was fascinating to see them working through issues that have held them back emotionally. There were moments that tore at my heart and others that made me smile. This book was a great addition to a wonderful series, I can't wait to meet the next couple.
I received an advance reader copy from NetGalley.
