This is the best book I've read on the subject of Pastoral Theology. Professor Schuetze does a masterful job of examining the issues that pastors face today, in a compassionate, Scriptural manner. Especially helpful is the exegetical applications of passages such as Matthew 5:31-32, concerning Christ's words on divorce and how we are to apply the Scriptural principles when dealing with cases of divorce and remarriage.
