By the evolution of world all the things are easily accessible through many medium. Such a one is Internet, this is the vast were majority of people got addicted to its features. As speaking to a person face to face gone and talking in face chat is developed. Which can be see as scientific growth or harm.

The Wild Cat by Taanya Sharma is a cyber crime thriller, this comes under the list of one of few novels which caught you glued from first few pages. The plot is simple in the means of understanding the concept laid by author. The narration is good with lucid language which makes a better readability.

How Tanya escapes from the trap of online dating portal is a one line story of this novel. The story is absolutely cleared in the blurb and I hope no need to explain it again. It makes aware of loop holes in those sites and how it can be misused to its core. Really an self aware able and it keeps you thrilled to the end. Only not acceptance is character of Tanya a mere fact of her innocence I don't know a matured girl can't be think ahead and foolished this easily.

Overall, The Wild Cat with the different content and enjoyable thrilling withhold of the unthinkable end.

Starting from the book cover the first impression is the best impression the foremost thing which I liked in the book is the beautiful cover and its little unusual title “The Wild Cat” it indeed developed the curiosity within me to know what author meant by it.   The lower half of a girl's face and below it is the night view of a city with buildings in the middle of the cover title with sub title. The Wild Cat A deviant tale of a young woman, a banker and a conman who happen to meet on dating website. The Cover is beautiful and attractive. Title is also perfect for the plot.

The story revolves around the line of protagonist Tanya aka Iron Angel, Dorothy, Adam, Mr. U W, Aaron aka Phantom or Alpha, Mrs. Martha, Sarah, Monica , Sam Baker aka call as Nick Baker or Cobra, Newguyintown,Notorious, Aunt Iris, Rookie, Venom, Rebel Queen, Rex, Mr. & Mrs. Baker, Stephanie Owens, Schmidt, Jeff Simpson, Dali, Frida.
This is the story of female protagonist Tanya an art gallery owner inherited from her father. She lost her mother in her early age and her father had brought her up but later her father passed away in an accident. She was a alone and only have the support of her best friend Dorothy.  Dorothy is dating online through an app which matches with a person of similar interest and lets them talk in a group or one -one.

Tanya also downloads the app iVoice once she learns that she has been using it to date this person who is the owner of a sexy voice according to her. iVoice is a dating app but the twist is that it’s not like any other dating app. It’s a dating app based on voices of different people. One can only connect with another person she is interested in by hearing his voice. No real names, no identities. Just voice. The application has a option to lock in the phone number and also has a voice changer option if any user feels not to reveal their own voice. Tanya, aka Iron Angel on iVoice comes across another user called Adam who invites her to a private chat. Adam apparently is married and is a father to three kids. He shows signs of perversion and voyeurism and have cybered (cyber sex) quite a few times but his wife doesn’t mind even when she knows about his addiction. I don’t know why. Even his therapist knows about it but takes no step to stop him from his adventures. Tanya and Adam end up talking about the colours of underwear they wear, whether they wash hands after peeing, whether they sleep in PJs or sleep naked. I mean, girl you are talking to a virtual stranger and you haven’t even seen his face and you are already talking about penises, panties and thongs!! Like, seriously. I was exasperated at her common sense. He could have turned out to be an old pimp who doesn’t think twice before killing innocent girls. Anyways, coming to the second user Phantom; he is the lead male protagonist in this book. Aaron aka Phantom turns out to be an investment banker and is pretty civil when they first engage in conversation. He isn’t a creep like the two other users she had interacted previously. They almost talk everyday. As days pass, Tanya becomes more addicted to this app and starts to feel “soft” for Aaron. It's trap. There’s always some people lurking in the background to pounce on when they are presented with opportunities. There’s one such person in this iVoice app too. He gains a large sum of money by selling of phone numbers and private images of the girls who uses this app. When Tanya comes to know about this and learns that Aaron is also linked with this whole ploy, she plots a revenge against them. The rest of the story follows Tanya in her revenge and whether she finds success in her plan. This book ends with a cliffhanger mode. The rest of the story will be in next trilogy set of the book.

Language is simple crisp and lucid and has the ability to bring live the events narrated in the book. The characters are well developed and one can easily relate to their actions, reactions, mental agony, outbursts, etc. The only character that left me a bit confused was that of Tanya. The best part is that even the supporting characters are well- developed and merge smoothly into the story. You can easily relate to most of their actions, reactions and inner turmoil. However I would have loved to get to know what happen after BANG. BANG. who had shoot for that i have to wait for next book. While the first half is erotic thriller with cyber crime, the second half which is revenge.  Narration is done well. The author's strongest point is plot with unique theme and warn the women of online world. One of the most important things that I noticed is how with few words, the author could not only just portrayed  the hazards of online world, the pain, joy and sorrows of the characters but she even manages to bring that out from the readers. Most victims of these crimes were teenage girls and women. There was a nefarious attempt to trap young girls to indulge in wrongdoing. The increase in number of mobile phones had also led to more number of cyber crimes. Crimes were also reported by misusing social networking websites on the internet. The writer’s words has the capacity to hold the reader till the last page. The book has been written well in accordance to real-life examples with realistic point of view.

This is the debut novel of author but we don’t seriously feel as if we are reading a book written by a debut author. Overall a fantastic fantasy packed with action and tinged with suspicion and suspense. I personally would like recommend this book to every women out there and to all the book worms it's a must read.

Little did he know about her for sure
She was intrigued by stories of his lure
A silly little cupid stuck him hard
His ego crashed like a deck of cards
Fishing his heart out of a shallow lake of love
She was unwilling to be his dove
A knight from the south , a man with gold
Others with promiscuous desires they could not hold
Baffled by masquerade and pretentious care
Amour ended , not so fair love affair.

Plot

Tanya owns an art gallery in New York and is new to the dating world. She happens to download an application called iVoice that connects users all around the world to connect with anonymous people but through their voice. The application allows users to block their phone number and through voice modulation changes their original voice for their privacy. Tanya sets her username as Iron Angel and connects with Aaron , username Phantom , who happens to be an investment banker . They talk quite often and both start feeling a soft corner for each other. Little did Tanya know that it's a trap.

Sam Backer known as the Cobra in the iVoice world , runs a pornographic website with his girlfriend Monica. He traps innocent girls on the application and shares their numbers and private images on the website for which he makes quite a hefty income.

Tanya is shocked when reality strucks her and she plots a revenge against Aaron and Sam. She seeks the help of a friend who works in the FBI and tries to get both of the men arrested. But will she really succeed?

Writing

I loved how every minute detail is layed out. The plot is perfect and well thought of and in order to lay it out to the audience the proper use of words is a must which the author has aced.

The issue that the author has raised is an alarming one. The new generation believes in social interaction and even though we are aware of the consequences , we go with the flow and the results are disastrous.

The Wild Cat is something i'll recommend to all the woman out their who should be reminded of the grave threats and danger one could get in "online".

Can't wait for the next part.

'The Wild Cat' is an erotic thriller that explores the world of cyber crime. The plot revolves around how one's addiction towards Internet and social media can lead to serious consequences. The novel is the first part of The Wild Cat Trilogy.

Tanya, an art gallery owner in New York is an extremely independent woman. She happens to download an online dating app known as iVoice, mostly out of curiosity after seeing her friend Dorothy using it. Now, iVoice is not like other dating apps, it connects users only if he/she is interested in each other's voice. She registers herself as 'Iron Angel' and connects with user 'Phantom', whose real name is Aaron and started interacting a lot with him. As days pass, Tanya becomes more addicted to this app and develops a 'soft spot' for Aaron. Now, Phantom aka Aaron is involved with another guy Sam Backer, who is known as 'Cobra' in the iVoice world. Sam owns a pornographic website along with his girlfriend Monica, where he traps rich girls and blackmails them by sharing their private images and phones numbers on that site. When Tanya came to know about this incident, she plots a revenge against them and makes a vow to shut down this dating app. But will she succeed in her attempt?

First of all, I would like to thank the author for bringing into light such serious issue like cyber crime. The story speaks about the other side of the online world, how dangerous it's consequences can be for an individual. The narrative style was gripping and fast paced, the flow was good too, however, at times I felt that the story was unnecessarily being dragged. The ending was unexpected and left many questions unanswered. Language was crisp and lucid but I did spot some spelling errors, which can be attributed to the editing mistakes.

The worst part of the book for me was the character of Tanya. I didn't understand that how can a mature woman like her act in such a immature and foolish manner.

Overall, I would say that 'The Wild Cat' was an okay one time read for me. I would recommend this book to all the thriller lovers, especially to the erotic thriller lovers.

Tanya, an orphaned millionaire heiress of an art gallery finds herself face to face with her worst fears when she, out of curiosity, tries to give in to the trends of cyber dating. 21st Century has seen revolutionary changes in the cyberspace. When the combination of genius minds harnesses the power of cyberspace, dangerous webs of cyber-crime are created, at times. The Wild Cat is the story of the protagonist, entering a cyber dating application and finding herself trapped between two men, who are masters of their trades.
The Wild Cat makes the reader wonder how true is the cyber domain? How trustworthy are the aspects of this 21st-century wonder? It is indeed true that what one sees in the cyberspace is what is shown to them. But hardly is anybody aware of what happens beyond the screens. In fact, how the wonders of cyberspace are being moulded for the benefits of these criminals can be best seen through the pages of this novel. Nevertheless, one cannot forget that since times are changing the methods of attaining justice is changing too.
Tanya’s evolving journey in The Wild Cat makes an interesting read as one finds out regarding the nuances of the most used service in contemporary times. Also, the novel ends on a high note, leaving the readers anticipating more.

The reserve has an impressive cover. The launch is amazing and covers how friends, the flow trends makes lonely souls achieve things. live in the get older of the internet. community media is old by the best part of people. With the discovery of get-together media, cybercrimes increased Gets to some extent boring with parallel conversations and you may famine to skip the exchange segment but the story keeps you hooked. The story about cybercrimes in news and in reproduction media. The gait is obedient to level flows and transitions.

We puzzle out perceive sound. The story has been surge crafted and the plot is perfect. The approach in which the procedures exhibit been located in the story is excellent. The movement of the story is fast. You will haul a glowing representation of the font in your minds. Every poor character was, previously upon a time, a good quality individual being. You will realize this while you announce the history of the characters.

The story has been narrated well. The coherent language and the critical telling makes a perfect combo. The story will complicate you a small piece towards the end. I deem that this story has the pronounced probable of life form curved into a movie. I wouldn’t be shocked to catch it on a movie screen.

At first I just want to say that if you are going to judge the book by the title and its cover that it's just a erotic book then you'll be totally wrong.

Today, we are living in the age of digital world, where we have lots of online friends through Facebook and other social media. It's totally okay having some online friends but we should be aware also about its other circumstances, how every day some innocent people are facing cyber bullying and even some people are forced to commit suicide!

The story is about a girl who facing the same problem by an dating app.

The book is not like a simple erotic story, its full of twists and turns. The narration is so good and proper that it makes the book page turner. Every chapter is full with suspense and can make the readers engaged. With every changing plot the story seems more interesting!

The ending part is unexpected and it arouses the curiosity of the reader to read the next part.

The cover is really eye- catching and colorful.

over all a highly recommended book!

Book Name (with tagline): The Wild Cat (A deviant tale of a young woman, banker and a conman who happen to meet on dating website.)
Author Name: Taanya Sarma
Format: Kindle
No of Pages: 275
Publisher: Invincible Publishers (21/12/17)
Blurb: The blurb portion of the book is compactly written and highlighting the core substance of the story. Without much exaggeration or revealing too much content, the blurb is enough capable to make the reader turn the pages of the book, indeed.
Cover: The front cover of the book is tempting, good and if I need to justify this according to the content, then of course it is appropriately designed.
Title: Title of this book is catching and thought provoking as well; it can rise up the curiosity among the readers to know what is waiting inside the book. After finishing this book, I can say that the title is apt & perfect.
Language & narration: Language of the book is lucid enough to comprehend and the selection of words in some particular lines throughout the book impressed me I must say. I noticed that, on a lighter note, touches of humor are evident at places while in conversation, to make the read a bit more interesting. Coming to the narration part, honestly saying that, if I need to concentrate on this book as a ‘thriller’ then, the narrating style should have been a little better actually. I am not saying that, the narration of the story is dull or not gripping, never; it is no doubt a fast pace narration that make the reader hooked up with each chapter of the book instantly, but what I am trying to say that, a gripping thriller like this, with a breathtaking plot, the way of narrating the incidents could have been more intriguing actually, thus I could have addressed this one as ‘unputdownable’, so that’s the factor which the story is a bit lacking of.
Plot: The plot of the book is breathtakingly crafted I must say. Let me share a thing first that, it is the 1st part of the trilogy of this “The Wild Cat” series; so if I have to consider it as the beginning then the plot is highly captivating and crafted in such a way, that will make the reader impatient at the end of the book to go through the next part of this instantly. As it is based on true events, so the significance of the encounters that are inside the book is more to be concentrated on.
Setting: Setting of the story is based on Tampa- Florida, USA, New York City- Manhattan, and there will be some other place mentioned as Sunshine state, Vegas, New Jersey, California, North Carolina (it is the home state of the authoress herself).
Characterization: Crystal clear characterization with picture perfect detail is one of the strongest points of this book. Author has portrayed the characters so lively that I was like…visualizing them while reading. Each & every character (be it the central characters or any supportive one) has been justified to their respective roles till the end. Let’s get familiar with the names of some characters mentioned in the book (I’ll include the ‘username’ characters too)- Tanya Simpson (*Iron Angel*), Jeff Simpson, Dorothi aka ‘Dor’, A.J, Maggy (puppy), Adam, Mr. UW, Aaron Thompson (*Phantom* / *Alpha*), Froggy, Sam Baker ([Nick] + *Newguyintown* / *Notorious* / *Cobra*), Mrs. Martha, Aunt Iris, Sarah, Monica Girard, Venom, Rebel Queen, Rex, Mr. & Mrs. Baker, Stephanie Owens, Officer Brooks, Schmidt.
Theme: Erotic thriller, Crime thriller, Mystery, Detective.
Story in a nutshell: Tanya was a born millionaire who owns a bunch of art galleries which she inherited from his father. She lost her mother (who was a painter) at an early age. She was a self confident, reserved Woman with her unique personality and she had her closest friend, support & guide named Dorothi, in her life. Her life was going through a simple single track, until fate made her face the darker side of life. Out of curiosity, she entered into the world of virtual relationship, through an online dating app. But very soon she realized that, things were not just for fun there. But, she found herself into something deeper than expected. Initially things seemed attractive to her, and she was enjoying her time with a newly formed virtual relation with a guy named Aaron, who happens to be an Investment broker, and things were pretty much clear for her, that she was there with ‘no strings attached’. But the more, she threw herself into deep, the nastier thing of virtual dating started to appear in front of her. She witnessed how some pervert people unleashed their true self there with young, naïve women to fulfill the ‘pleasure’ they were seeking for. Just the time she decided to leave that world, things turned out to be tougher as she discovered herself trapped already there, and with a greatest shock, she realized that her identity was being exposed along with her reputation and everything were at stake. It was a high time for her when she got to know that Aaron was also a part of this gang to trap and lure young women to do ‘such things’ that they won’t even think to do, let alone in public, not even in private! Tanya was determined to put an end to this app & to the illegal porn website with various malicious content (including women’s identity, even their pictures & some other things), which was being owned by Sam (the ‘mastermind’ conman) and her ‘girlfriend’ Monica!
What will Tanya do now? Everything is new for her in that ‘nasty’ world; how she going to stop and shut the jerk’s illegal activities down and put them behind bars, permanently? Will she ever be able to succeed in accomplishing that? Things are being rooted way too deep than her imagination; what cost will it take to reach the mastermind? How Aaron, being a successful Investment broker, landed himself into this ‘dirty game’? Why, suddenly Tanya had been chosen as their ‘target’? Do they have any bigger motives this time or they have any personal scores to settle? Well…to get these answers, just jump into this book and go through Tanya’s journey by yourself.
My Verdict: Authoress Taanya Sarma has crafted and presented the story (based on true events) in such a manner that will keep the reader at the edge of their seat. The internal message and which was her prime intention, to warn naïve young women about the pitfalls of the online dating world and its consequences; it’s a quite successful attempt for that surely. Author has put front the actual reality that is going now nowadays, in this vast era of virtual relation & fun across the globe. Countless number of innocent women are being continuous prey of their tempting trap and the jerk perverts are keeping this game on to play with their feelings and future as well. It’s time to finish this thing off, once and for all, come what may; the author’s effort regarding this by penning down this book is really commendable. The thrill, mystery, feelings of heart, dilemma of a girl to chose between heart & mind, the desperate efforts of Tanya to reach the end, the unfortunate and struggling childhood of Sam, the helplessness of Aaron at a time, the motherly love & concern of Dorothi for Tanya, the detail about the online dating world, the detail information about the paintings (Lafelle, Picasso) of the art gallery, the meaningful poetry, everything was clearly evident from the extract of the book. Opinion about Human ethics, moral & wrong doing, & the deep thought about the meaning of success touched my heart. It’s a comprehensively good work done by the authoress Taanya Sarma & I am looking forward to the next book in this series now.
Drawbacks: There is just a single tiniest printing error in the entire book, and other than that, I noticed nothing in particular which can be pointed out as a drawback. So, this book gets a clean chit here. Though I’d like to mention the typo error that can be instantly taken care of by the editor Sean Donovan, it is- “…..the boiler room back into the (panty) / *pantry near….” (Page no 130 / 269 – 49%).
Recommendation: I would definitely love to recommend this book to them who are in fond of classy erotic thrillers. Besides, whoever is looking for a different type of crime thriller, can surely opt for this book; they won’t be disappointed for sure. Thank you.
Rating (Overall): 4/5 Stars.

THE TITLE-

Online dating, especially in India, is like walking on egg shells- you can never fathom the damage it can cause. It could be a pool of blatant lies, a well-planned trap to execute some kind of personal vengeance, or in rare cases- a decent person, in an unfortunate setting. It would be hasty generalization to conclude, that every online dating ‘victim’ has suffered; I have personally read some success stories of online relationships that have resulted in marriage. My point, rather question, here is that have we, as a society, lost faith in the age old techniques of finding love? Is online dating another form of “playing-safe”? Everything looks clean through a medium, and maybe that is why many people feel so confident and secure when they decide to take a plunge into the inter-webs.
The title itself is so thrilling that it throws the question- Is internet the new ‘heaven’? Through the protagonist ad the title, it is evident that what social-media really becomes after years of use is a constant stream of information both verbal and visual that at first drenches the mind, quenching its thirst for knowledge, and subduing its curiosity slowly but surly transforms into a torrent that renders the brain heavy and the mind restless.

REVIEW OF THE BOOK-

The author very beautifully twists her tale to inject the fact that Social networks are more than just repositories for trivial, snap judgments; they are more than merely convenient outlets for mindless joy and outrage. They offer more than the common ground and the solace we may find during culturally significant moments. Social networks also provide us with something of a flawed but necessary conscience, a constant reminder that commitment, compassion, and advocacy neither can nor ever should be finite.
The plot, although a thrilling one, emphasises on the misuse of social Network and Come to be known as “revenge porn”, the act of posting or leaking sexually explicit pictures and videos of your ex-partner, usually after a sour break up, is an increasing and worrying phenomenon. A quick Google search reveals how common a practice it is, so much so that there are myriads of websites dedicated to humiliating your ex in the most perverse manner possible. The rise of cyber assault in India is a very bothering issue. Considering the number of people that now have access to the internet, the matter’s become worse. Every time I tune into the TV to watch Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India, it actually shows the dark side of cyber crimes. These crimes go unnoticed, because the target population is easily influenced by the virtual world, and even if such matters are brought to light, the hearings go pending. The most alarming fact is that the cases of cybercrime that do get reported usually involve the death of the victim, which is shocking. Social media has given power to the youth to voice out their opinions. Such tools are rarely used for a good purpose, by many people.
The author had developed a beautiful backdrop of social network amalgamated with online dating to highlight the alarming rate of cyber crime and the immediate need of a cyber security.
As per Cyber Bullying Research Centre, cell phones and other mobile devices continue to be the most popular technology utilized by adolescents. Approximately 12% of the students in the sample admitted to cyber bullying others at some point in their lifetime. Posting mean comments online was the most commonly reported type of cyber bullying. The type of cyber bullying tends to differ by gender; girls were more likely to say someone spread rumours about them online while boys were more likely to say that someone threatened to hurt them online.
Luckily there have been grievance mechanisms, whether the local law and order authority or the media portals themselves, with many laws and framework that allow victims redressed. However, the internet world is infinite and its users ambiguous, so the onus lies on us to usher the limits and our safety. Apps like Facebook have a report against or report abuse button that allows one to limit the circulation of particular posts or updates, or a block option which allows one to prevent someone from visiting or seeing their profile.
Sadly, there is little we can do in the realms of internet safety, except follow the cardinal rule that precaution is better than cure. Limiting one’s updates to a group, and not randomly accepting a friend request from anyone, should be the rule. Also, being aware of the Information Technology Act and its legal implications is a must, so that one can apply these frameworks when in trouble. Getting in touch with the customer care division of these social media portals, instead of choosing to just ignore, is important.
The internet is indeed good if used properly and similarly bad if used with ulterior motives. In the words of JK Rowling, “The internet has been a boon and a curse for teenagers.” It’s important that we don’t substitute the Internet for our lives.

Do read the book from https://www.amazon.in/Wild-Cat-Trilog...

As quoted from William Gibson, “Cyberspace. A consensual hallucination experienced daily by billions of legitimate operators, in every nation, by children being taught mathematical concepts... A graphic representation of data abstracted from banks of every computer in the human system. Unthinkable complexity. Lines of light ranged in the no space of the mind, clusters and constellations of data. Like city lights, receding...”

YOU SHOULD READ THIS BECAUSE-

1. THE SPINE CHILLING THRILLING PLOT.

2. THE DEATH FACTOR AT EVERY TURN OF THE PAGE

RATINGS-

Overall I would like to rate the book 44 on a scale of 50.
4 stars out of 5
1. Originality of the plot and sub plots- 9/10
2. Net emotions in the story- 9/10
3. Usage of words and phrases-9/10

5. The net impact on the readers- 9/10

In order to start off giving an honest review of this book, I’ll begin by talking of the cover and the title—both of which directly lure a person in. When you look at the cover, you know you’re in for a good time of story-telling.

But the sad thing is, I found myself deeply disappointed. Majorly because from all that I had heard about the book, I had expected it to be something different from the rest, something out of the box, something more than what we usually see. And it was all of that. But it was also something that I did not expect. It was a freaking children’s book!

Of course, anyone who has read the blurb would ask me what I could possibly mean by that. But hopefully (hopefully because I’m not sure many observed) anyone who has read it would realize what I’m referring to. If not, then I’ll explain:

I had picked up this book in a perfectly good mood, hoping to know the story of Tanya that I had often heard on social media, until I read the very first paragraph. All my hopes went down the drain. Reading what she wrote on the first page, it appeared to me what my eight-year-old sister would write. Or maybe, even she could write better than this.

Of course though, narrative is a huge part of any story ever told and this particular one’s did not go well with me at a single point.

Not only that, but I found the writing way too pretentious . I mean, why would anyone write something like this:

“My mind and body united long enough to bring awareness to the fact that I was wandering around the room aimlessly in my PINK Victoria’s Secret pajamas for no apparent reason.”

I mean, what is even that thing?

Not only that, there were other things that I noticed as well. For example, during the first few pages (after she discovers iVoice app), it appeared as if all that she did through-out the day was use the app and then go to sleep late at night. (When did she eat? Or take a bath?) There was this one paragraph where she woke up, talked to Phantom, he tried to get her to cyber with her, she rejected the idea and then saw that it’s 2 A.M. and went to sleep. Just in a two pages.

Then there was the thing about how she appeared to be a thirteen-year-old who had just found out about sex. As soon as she started using the app, her language, her reactions, everything indicated to me that. Now, I haven’t read much eroticas but I know enough to openly say that this is not how it happens.

There were so many issues with the point-of-views as well. I mean, yes, different chapters were assigned different characters but there was no where mentioned whose point-of-view it is. Each character spoke in first person and well, it just wasn’t distinguished enough. For example, Chapter Five: The Conman “Cobra” was Sam. But Chapter Six: The Meltdown was Tanya and I had no idea about it until the end of the second page of this chapter.

Now finally onto the characters.

Let me ask you a question. If you’re thinking back to how you met someone, will you remember every tiny—literally, every tiny detail of how you had sex, what happened after it and so on and on. Not just for the first time, but for many other times as well? Well, Monica, Aaron and Sam seemed to. Every tiny detail they narrated, it went in the same tense as the whole book. How do you distinguish something was in the past and not the present? You change the tense when you talk of the past, or so I have been taught. If the book is in past tense, you move on to past perfect. If present then past. How can no one seem to notice this?

However, despite all of these issues, the story-line was good. It could definitely have been written better in such a way that the reader lets out a “Woah!” multiple times through the book, but it wasn’t. The story picked up pace in the second half, though so that was good and I’m glad for that. Something related to thrill actually happened.

Other than that, the end of the book was the best. Although yes, we could have found out more at the end, but I believe that compared to how the rest of the book had been, the end was by far the best thing that I had read in all of the 200+ pages.

In fact, the .5 out of the 2.5 that I’ve given to this book is for that ending as well. Other than that, 1 star is for the cover and 1 for the second half of the book.

I hope the author and publishers understand why I rated it the way I rated it and accept my point-of-view instead of rejecting it completely.

“Little did he know about her for sure
She was intrigued by stories of his lure
A silly little cupid stuck him hard
His ego crashed like a deck of cards”

Answer is this suspense & erotic thriller. Find the link here:

My Review:
“Social Media is a boon and curse in the current world” suits as perfect one-liner for this plot. This book is an alarm for every women who directly or indirectly falls into the trap of the online websites specially involving dating and pornography. The plot of the book is perfectly designed which is a suspense thriller till the end of knowing the culprit. Interestingly Tanya, who stays strong in fighting those evils with an extra dose of vengeance and nice flow keeps the reader engaged until the last page.
As author mentions, this is a whistle blower for all the ladies who share their intimate pictures trusting the person at other end, Perfect read for those people who ask and send the photographs over the social media. As the book reads 13+ no offence in some of the words used in the interest of awareness. The cover picture of the book is perfectly designed to portray the masked face which fakes the real world and traps women in these scandals. This book is best read for erotic, thriller, crime and mystery genre readers.

Overall I rate “The Wild Cat (The Wild Cat Trilogy Book 1) – Taanya Sarma”as 4.25/5, with a superfine mix of romance, suspense, thrill, decent eroticism, vengeance, engaged content, fine quality paper, appealing cover, embossed title and attractive blurb with an unusual ending stands the best in this genre. Eagerly waiting for the author’s upcoming novel.

To read the full rant, I mean review, follow the link : https://poesyinchrysalis.wordpress.co...

Teeny-tiny spoiler ahead because I just couldn't stop myself.

Tanya, an art gallery owner happens to download this app called iVoice once she learns that she has been using it to date this person who is the owner of a sexy voice according to her. iVoice is a dating app but the twist is that it’s not like any other dating app. It’s a dating app based on voices of different people. One can only connect with another person he/she is interested in by hearing his/her voice.

He could have turned out to be an old pimp who doesn’t think twice before killing innocent girls!

Of course it had to be a trap. You didn’t just think that things will go smoothly, did you?

I really liked the narration and the concept behind this book. It has got this whole “to create awareness against the hazards of using online dating sites” written over it and I really appreciate the author for bringing out such a topic into light. The flow was good. The language was surprisingly good too.

Taanya's character was unbelievable for me. I mean, who would really behave like her in their right mind? I would have understood her naivety had she been a teenage girl going through her puberty. But she’s not. She is a young woman fully capable of thinking things through before acting. I get it you can be curious and all but talking about undies in your first chat even when you haven’t seen the user’s face? You’ve got to be kidding me! Though she seemed to develop some sort of common sense later on.

I don’t know if I am the only person who didn’t like this book as much as I had expected but, what I said in this review is my personal opinion.

Review:
The storyline of the book forms a great thrill. What is more fascinating that the story is based on true events. The protagonist is a strong and self sufficient woman who can fend for herself. Her courage is commendable. her spirit of dragging the culprits into their own woven web and her struggle for procuring justice is really something that the readers would like. The book becomes very erotic at certain areas and might be too extreme for someone holding staunch orthodox views. However for others the book will be a very nice read and a gripping thriller. The language that has been used by the author is very elegant and it catches the attention of the readers. It is easy to understand. The author has done a good job in writing the book as at no point the book seems unnecessarily stretched. The book somewhere also highlights the unwanted pests and risks that a person invites with their participation on social media platforms and underlines the need of every users to be responsible with their use. The book will be a great read for the thrill lovers.

First’s book of the crime trilogy has set the stage and has done a fabulous job.
The author has explained about the cyber crime in detailed. She has built the each character enigmatically. She has great hold over the language.
It’s a mind-blowing example to know how risky an app can lead to & your life may turn up side down in few seconds. As each chapter goes the interest starts building in. I can’t wait to know what will happen next.
What I loved in this book?
Theme: The cyber crime the crime and mystery is beautifully explained. Your hobby or a time pass entertainment may lead you to something v dangerous.
Quotes:-
“Sometimes the past is better left in the past, but if it helps in shaping the future, I would be highly interested to know more about it.”
“I came to the realization that the world was constantly changing, it stopped for no one.”
“I would speculate and debate that the term ‘wrong’ is subjective. I agree with that. What’s wrong to me may be right to someone else and vice versa.”
“Be available, for a great opportunity only knocks once. Be persistent and aim for long term returns.”
Story: Its set so realistically and logically with current scenario one of the best cyber crime story.
Characters: Dorothy a friend who is crazy as hell but always thinks of you and cares. Till now she s great yet the secrets are to be unfold. Of course I like Mrs. Martha the honest employee who looks after you as well.
What I did not like?
At some part the pace was bit slow. Otherwise it’s bang on.
Verdict: This book is a lesson to Young people out there that technology even may be threat sometimes. Really interesting thriller, definitely a fest to thriller & mystery lovers.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THIS.

I didn't know I needed this in my life but I'm glad to have read this book. This book hits a bit too close and I'm sure will make everyone question some of their decisions. This book comments on an important part of our lives i. e. Internet / online life we are living. And how it can affect us.

This is the story of Tanya, an art gallery owner, she's new to this because after the untimely death of her parents she has to run the show, and because of this, she never has time for dating or when she does have some time, she chooses to spend it at home with her dog maggie, therefore it's out of character for her to download this new dating app called IVOICE. The unique feature of this app is that, instead of texting, users can talk to each other, and in order to protect their privacy they can block their number and can use a voice modulator to alter how they sound. Now, to a naive girl like Tanya this sounds absolutely secure but little did she know that all of it is a trap and it's more than a dating app.

Sam Baker along with his girl friend Monica manages this app and he is the owner of several porn sites where he misuses the information shared by users on IVOICE and sam uses Tanya's affection for Aaron a.k.a phantim to lure her in. When Tanya gets the wind of this, she's appalled by the lack of morals in some people and plans to get a revenge with the help of her friend who is in FBI.

The floor is set,the FBI wants sam behind the bars but Tanya is in danger.

This story sheds light on a serious issue i e cyber crime and how often we don't pay attention to what we share with people online or how far reaching these effects can be.

The writing is simple and flows easily and the author did some amazing research here which made this into such an amazing read.

The wildcat by Taanya Sarma is a gripping novel that revolves around our addiction to our mobile phones, Internet,  dating sites. Firstly the cover of the book is gorgeous. This story shows us the evil side of one of the necessity in nower days. How can a person come in danger by using a site or by sharing ones detail to a stranger.
The story is said in a pace which is perfect for such kind of mystery story. The language used is simple. This story has mixture of friendship, love, risk, sex, responsibility. How can one risk their life by just a mere addiction to online site because their is a murder that happens in this story and the mystery revolves around everything. How the FBI helps Tanya to keep her safe and find out the truth about an online site. How the title itself helps in solving the mystery for Tanya.
Girls have to be careful while you are online and you are sharing your personal details to a stranger you should know what can go wrong for you. The characters involved in this story are Aaron, Sam, Monica, Dorothy and Mrs. Martha.
The ending was not what I was expecting. It was like an abrupt ending for me. I wanted some more details about what happened in the end. Though it is quite understandable what happens I felt something was missing. One will be completely engrossed in this book to know how this story evolves. It can be a perfect bollywood movie because it has all the elements for it. Thanks to invincible publisher for the review copy. I would give it a 4 stars

Blurb: 4.5/5

Plot: 4/5
Thriller Quotient: 4.5/5

Final Rating: 4/5

The blurb is compact and bang on target. It highlights the soul of the story. The Blurb is written in such a way to make a reader pick the book.

I just loved the cover of the book.
Above the title, there is an half image of the face of a female showing her nose, lips and hairs. Below the Title, is an skyline of some city, New York, I guess.

The Cover is just beautiful, and in complete sync with the plot of the story. The minute I saw it, I was sure this novel is going to be Thriller ride.

The Title is eye catching, and made me read this novel. I can say that the title is quite apt for this story and one of the best thrillers I have read in some time.

The plot of the story is beautifully designed anda lot of research has been put in by the authoress Taanya Sharma.

The Characterization is done with a great clarity. All Characters were justified and given importance as per their role in the plot.

The language used in the book is lucid and simple enough to connect the reader with the story. Sarcasm and Light humor added to the experience of the journey.

This novel is the first part of the Wild Cat Trilogy, so I am looking forward to the second part as the end of this novel left on a cliffhanger.

I can guarantee that You won't be disappointed after picking this Novel.

I really appreciate the concept which the author has chosen. It's very unique more than that, it's a lesson to our young generation be it teens or adults, who, being unaware of the cons of these dating sites or the person they are dating with, put themselves in trouble which is quite hazardous.
Meet Tanya, the protagonist, who enters the online dating and chat world. But later, it proves to be a trap when she finds her clips distributed all over in porn sites. These meagre acts unwelcomed adventures, interfered with her business and her sanity as she aspires to live up to her parent’s decent standards. Later, Tanya plots a revenge against the troop, on learning the involvement of Aaron. Does she finds success removing her clips distributed in porn sites ?

This is a beautiful book. I specially loved the language used, decent enough, without much jargons. Even the flow of the story along with the plots and sub-plots is well maintained. But there arises question on the characterization. At times, I found the characters behavior to the situation as weird. Tanya, being a grown up woman was unsophisticated (which most teenage girls are).

The title and cover is very apt to the storyline. It represents a woman in the city who withstands the toughness and it survives it all.
The story ends with unfolded mystery, which I guess, will be disclosed in the later parts of the trilogy.

My overall rating will be 3.8/5. 🌟

Tanya is an art gallery owner in New York, lives alone and has only one best friend Dorothy. After hearing from Dorothy about an online dating app called iVoice, she downloads it and named herself as 'Iron Angel'. Now, iVoice is not like other dating apps, it connects users only if he/she is interested in each other's voice. Tanya connects with a user named 'Phantom', whose real name is Aaron, days pass, Tanya becomes more addicted to this app and develops a 'soft spot' for Aaron. Now, Aaron is involved with another guy Sam Backer, known as 'Cobra' in the iVoice world. Sam owns a pornographic website with his girlfriend Monica, where they trap rich girls to blackmails them by sharing their private images and phones numbers on their site. When Tanya came to know about this she plots revenge, to bring justice to all the girls who faced this fate. But will she succeed in her attempt? Will she be able to come out alive?

Good attempt to bring this topic in the limelight about cybercrime where innocents are forced to do such acts just to take their private images out of the site. The author did a good job but the writing didn't go too well for me, it could have been better, the language was good and the pace was well set. Sometimes it made me confused who the storyteller is, Cobra was Sam, but Tanya said the next chapter so it was mumble jumble for me. Rest a one time read.

The world these days runs on money, name & mostly fake stuffs. It's faster than anyone in their right mind can comprehend. That's the result most often people indulge themselves in online gambling, betting, games, relationships & other mischievous stiffs. As a result, the attachment & the importance of real life, family & relationships tend to be fading away. In turn these chain of events provokes directly or indirectly leading virtue fade away as individuals individually involve themselves in absurd situations like trafficking, elicit stuffs.
The book centers around this main fact. Cover, title, theme, story & everything else is breathtaking on its own. Theme talks about online crime, poker, thriller, science, fiction, reality. Based on real facts, extrapolated in a realistic way, this book will keep the readers hooked till the end.
I would mostly recommend this book for girls as this teaches them how to handle things & life in a bold way, how to tackle predators lurking as fake people. Generally, readers can learn as to how live their lives better & stay away from cheaters. Language is awesome & easy to understand. Narration is smooth & perfect.

Title – The Wild Cat

Storyline – Tanya is a bigwig New-Yorker, rich, sexy and owner of an art gallery. She has the ardor to fix things at her own and take jeopardizes in life.

The conclusion of this book is abrupt, I wasn’t going to pee while reading the last chapter, as I frantically hunted to know what will happen next, but the story ended abruptly with two words, Bang-Bang.

I check the book if there are few more pages but no, the next page is acknowledgement.
Crime thriller is beautiful portrayed in this raunchiest story. There is a plethora of emotions throughout the story. The portrayal and story is very bold.

One thing I have learned in this story is, every person is trapped by the other. And Sam too is a victim of destiny. He got blackmailed by his uncle in his childhood.

So except the dog Maggi, every other character in the book got blackmailed. And everyone’s had their own sorrow in life, their parents died and all.

So, if you Tinder a lot, beware!

This is an awesome book if you want to read erotic crime thriller. Ending looked like the next part of this book should come soon. I would read the next part, if ever released.

Amazing piece of fiction. Something like cyber-crime and cyber-bullying is not taken all that seriously in our society yet. The victims are often blamed themselves for the crimes that are committed against them and the lexicon of law is also full of loopholes and often unclear when it comes to something like this. However, the way The Wild Cat strings together all this issues and presents them through the viewpoint of its different characters is absolutely amazing. The lead character, Tanya, is without a doubt amazingly written and I couldn't help but sympathise with her throughout the story, however, by bringing in the view points of the other characters, including the antagonists, I found myself in an interesting dilemma as to who’s side I actually wanted to be on.

The end, as most modern mysteries go, is left open ended which is a little annoying to say the least, but it makes me want to read the next part of the book soon.... Recommended to the goodreads community friends........

I will start the review by book cover. Book cover is eye catching = perfect. And the title of the book "The Wild Cat", can impress anyone. It is rightly said "first impression is the last impression",and you will not regret after picking book because of book cover and the title.

In today's world we are more connected to online sites. We even trust many people we met online. No doubt, we get to know many good people but is everyone who talks sugarcoated is worth our trust? Wild Cat is a story of Tanya Sharma, who becomes victim of cyber crime and how she faces that situation.

This is the debut book of an author, but she has written fantastic. It contains thriller, mystery, fiction. The language is simple and crisp. The narration and the plot has been described well. Justice has been done to every character. I really liked the book and waiting for the next part to know what happens after BANG BANG.

I will recommend this book to read once.

I was impressed by the title and the cover page! The story could well have been told as short as in the blurb, if it wasn't for all juicy/spicy stuff which stretched it into a book!

Didn't expect the unfinished climax though... so was disappointed ...I don't think the next book in series is out yet...

My rating: 3.5/5

Tanya is the daughter of an art dealer living in NYC. She has an MBA degree. Not long ago she lost her father and now she has to run his art gallery all by herself with help from Mrs. Martha.
One long weekend, her friend Dorothy insists Tanya accompany her to a party where she has a blind date that she hooked up on an online dating app, iVoice.

With the intent of watching over Dorothy, Tanya too creates an account on the app but ends up inviting all sorts of danger for herself. While chatting with various unknown people, she comes across two men, Cobra and Phantom. Cobra lured users in for cybersex, and phantom saved Tanya from one such instance and became friends in no time.

Little did she knew, Phantom and Cobra were a team that Phantom wanted out of. He had to play along because he got himself into trouble due to his past.

A series of chats and personal details shared, Tanya and Phantom became much closer. But Tanya had another agenda. She wanted to expose Cobra for which she started chatting with him under a new name, Wildcat.

Things get ugly, cops are involved, cybersecurity at risk, shots are fired, trust is misused and love misunderstood.

The Wildcat, first in the trilogy, is an erotic thriller which takes you on an adventurous ride with a strong protagonist and equally stronger obstacles in her quest for peace and success.

- Very engaging writing
- Good turn of events
- Great cliffhanger

Can't wait for the second part. High expectations.

I was pretty excited to read Tanya's words as I'd heart about her debut from people around. Evident from its look, the cover design is exclusively attractive and to top it, the title seems equally catchy. I was more impressed by the physical appearance of the book. Typesetting, spacing, size everything is handled with great care and looks perfect. This is one thing that soothes my eyes to a great extent.

I was not much delighted with the theme of the book when I started reading this book, as I had expected much more from it. I was greeted with some usual stuff. It involved dating on apps, how people are more eager to satisfy their inner God using these apps. I've been through such content before, and I've read enough of such things, that I couldn't find any interest in this one. Plus, to me, this theme sounded a bit cliche, especially the first half. Albeit, the second half was all set to serve me something interesting.

There were episodes involving sexual chats that could interest someone who is into adult fiction. I was expecting the end to be more dramatic. It could be a great suspense-thriller combo if the plot could have been designed in a better way. The situations could be presented in such a way that the reader couldn't help but draw an 'O' of astonishment.

Undoubtedly, I enjoyed her writing style. It was simple and beautifully articulated and polished. It was a nice one-time read! The only thing that disappointed me was I had expected more from it.
