Beautiful book about setting aside some intentional time to get grounded, relax, breathe. Some great quotes including this Arundhati Roy one: another world is not only possible, she is on her way.’ Why did this make me burst into tears?? Might have to look into that...🤔 But definitely going to take some of Donigan’s ideas with me on my upcoming August vacation. 🙏🏼
Nicely put together book that helps the reader to put together a retreat basically anywhere. It breaks it down into a three day (long) weekend and provides recipes, playlists and meditations among other things. Filled with some lovely tranquil photographs. Inspiration on how to create a retreat atmosphere every day as well.
Thank you, Netgalley, for this book in exchange for an honest review.
A great book for how to plan the perfect relaxing getaway with tips of how to spend your long weekend, how to care for your body, full of recipes for the weekend and a grocery list, a list of affirmations you can use and draw inspiration from and a list of songs for playlist inspiration. I loved how the authors brought yoga, mindfulme As, self care and unplugging (briefly) into the picture and how they all intertwined with one another. Definitely a very informative self help book and BEAUTIFUL photographs to coincide with the calming words.
