About the author

Lisa Daniels

Lisa Daniels is a (young) retired school teacher who resides in Miami. After five years of teaching, Lisa Daniels found that it wasn’t quite the world that she wanted to inhabit. After leaving her position, she moved to Miami. She hasn’t regretted it.

In her worlds, Lisa Daniels creates characters that go beyond the usual narrative. While they definitively include romance, Lisa Daniels strives to make the worlds more real with characters that are more than just cardboard cutouts of the genre. All of the main characters (and many of the secondary ones) have a rich history that span much longer than the stories themselves. This makes it easy to weave the stories together so that you can see characters you met in previous tales and see how they have managed since.

The Dragons of Letera is her first standalone series. Letera is a world teaming with romance, action, and stories – it is a world that Lisa Daniels loves to explore with her readers, one character at a time.

This is a collection of dragon/wyrm books that you will love reading! Below is a review of two of the books as an example of the stories you can find in this set.

>>> Reviewing “Anya’s Freedom – Book 1” <<<
Anya was exhausted and her arms ached. She hated working in the wheat and cotton plantations under the harsh sun, and hated the overlords – called wyrms -- cruel, fanged, wingless serpents with hate-filled yellow eyes. Sometimes they killed humans just for entertainment! Anya bared her teeth and fantasized about storming their mansions and killing the wyrms in their sleep. Since she couldn’t do that, she took out her anger on the wheat with violent swipes of her scythe.

When Anya finally tries to encourage the serfs to make an attempt at freedom, someone tells the masters and she is forced to flee for her life. When a dragon sees what is happening, he must make a choice to reveal himself and save her or let her die.

This was a very good book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Anya was a strong female who, despite the harsh environment she struggled in day after day, never gave up hope that there was something better to reach for. Kalgrin was a good man with a kind heart and a desire to help others. He wanted to free the slaves from their vicious masters. Could the two of them make a difference and end the cruel treatment of the wyrms to save Anya’s people? Or would she be destroyed before she had a chance.

>>> Reviewing “Seon’s Freedom – Book 2” <<<
A wyrm with hate-filled yellow eyes stomped through the streets on its nightly patrol as Seon watched from her window. She sensed that they were looking specifically for her, even though they had no way to know there was something “special” about her. But this night, after she turned down the lights, there was a loud banging on her door. Two of the hated wyrms stood there, then shoved past her to ransack her house. They even took the time to rip her clothing in the closet for “a thorough search”, they said. Finding nothing incriminating, they left as they kicked over the table and shattered her teacup.

Two hours later, after cleaning the mess left by the wyrms’ search, once again there was a loud knock at the door! This time, a drake was there and he barged past her like the wyrms had. Then the dragon sniffed at her ear! He knew that she was what the wyrms were looking for – her magic was everywhere and he could smell it. He had come to fly her away to a mountain hideout near a school where they would train her if she had the kind of magic they could use. Otherwise, the wyrms would come every week until they found out about her magic – and would flay her alive.

Artiz took her to the school so they could determine what kind of magic she possessed. To the surprise of both Zannis, who tested her, and Artiz, it seemed that Seon was the one they had waited for who could find the hidden magic in the world and help the possessor of it “home” so that it could be passed to another. There was only so much magic wielded at one time in the world; with no one to recognize the invisible magic, it could not be restored and passed on to another. The only drawback was that no one, including Seon, knew how to train her to use her talent! But with Artiz able to sniff magic from anywhere, and Seon able to lead the shadows “home” and restore the hidden magic, this could be the answer to restoring magic to the world – and maybe get rid of the murderous, vicious wyrms! Could they figure out how to train Seon? Could they bring magic back to the world? Or would the wyrms stop them?

This is an awesome story, continuing from Book 1. The story line is very good, and the pacing takes the reader through the suspense of avoiding discovery by the unpredictable wyrms. The main characters are admirable and have the reader eagerly joining their adventure! Definitely worth reading! Although I received a copy of this book, I voluntarily chose to write an honest review and I do own copies of the books included in this box set.

Found by the Dragon (A Shifter Romance Collection)

Found by the Dragon (A Shifter Romance Collection) ~~ I absolutely loved diving into Found by the Dragon. I read this on Kindle while also listening on Audible, and the two formats together made this collection even more addictive. This is one of those dragon-shifter romances that pulls you in fast and doesn’t let go—protective alphas, fated mates, danger, and just enough heat to keep things interesting without losing the story.

From the very beginning, the dragon shifters are exactly what I want them to be: powerful, territorial, loyal, and completely undone by their mates. Each story gives you a slightly different angle, but they all share that same core theme—once a dragon finds his mate, that’s it. No backing down, no second-guessing, and no mercy for anyone who threatens her. I also appreciated that the heroines aren’t pushovers; they’re strong in their own way, even when thrown into a supernatural world they never expected.

Listening on Audible really brought the intensity to life. The narration added depth to the characters, especially during the emotional and suspenseful moments, and it made the protective instincts and tension feel even stronger. Switching between reading and listening was seamless, and this is definitely one of those collections that works beautifully in both formats.

If you love dragon shifters, fated mates, fast-paced romance, and stories where destiny doesn’t ask permission, this collection delivers exactly that. It’s binge-worthy, satisfying, and perfect if you’re in the mood for dragons who fall hard and protect even harder.

I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself — you won’t regret it.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. If, like me, you like reading many different genres of books, and you haven't tried shifter books before, then you need to try these as you are in for a treat. Personally, I prefer reading about bear shifters but this set of books is about four dragon shifters and finding, and then claiming, their fated mates.Lisa Daniels is one of my favourite authors for this particular genre and she excels at creating it for us to read. You will learn about the dragon shifters, in particular, but also of other types of shifters. You will also learn about the Wyrms and how humans used to have magical powers and how they were long forgotten. The dragons that you meet in these books are all strong alpha males who are proud and protective - especially of their mates. The four books comprise of :-
Book 1: Anya’s Freedom
Book 2: Seon’s Freedom
Book 3: Elise’s Freedom
Book 4: Isera’s Freedom
I found each book to be very entertaining and they certainly kept me engrossed within their stories form first to last page. I did actually read them previously one at a time but I think it's much more satisfying to read them all in one go like with this set. I thoroughly enjoyed reading them and I hope that you do too.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

This is a great set of books. Each story is well written with characters that are well developed and likeable. I really enjoyed Seon's story. Seon was a great character who was likeable and strong in her own ways. The magic that she has is unique and sets her apart from the others especially as magic can get a human killed by the wryms. Artiz is the drake that is training her and is also likeable character. Secondary characters were also well developed and the story had lots of action and some sexy time as things develop between Seon and Artiz. I am voluntarily reviewing an arc I received from Booksprout

Imagine a world that used to be humans with magic and the lives with two types of shifters, drakes and wyrms. Now humans are slaves and treated no better than animals by the wyrms. Some drakes try to help, but the wyrms have a deep hatred of humans. The humans have legends of a past that was peaceful but most think they are only stories. But magic is coming back. With each story we meet a new human and how they will change the world they live in. With the help of some drakes and maybe a few wyrms they also find romance.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.

I have read the first two books before the box set came out and I wasn't disappointed. The books can be read on their own. You have dragons, drakes, wyrems and humans all rolled into one. The stories have twist and turns. The characters are fully developed with some you like right away and some you have to get into. All the stories are beautifully written. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and voluntarily leave a review.

Excellent series. You have dragons. wyrms, humans and more. Four books with a fiesty, stong willed woman who isn't afraid to get out there to fight and their alpha male partner with equal strong will. Plenty of action, love, mystery and so much more. Well written and enjoyable. I recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it

Found by the Dragon Shifter Romance Collection

It might be that I read the books as a collection and while I was reading I felt the stories were too much the same as each other — only the names and the locations seemed to be different.
