So this is a different book from Kira. I am loving the Mystique Island stories and this one is just wonderful. Danielle is in "love" with her boss Holden. She wants him like nothing else. So when she gets that golden letter she jumps at the chance for a weekend with him. Little does she know that it isn't just him she will see this weekend.
Joey Long is the total opposite of his brother Holden. So when he gets the chance to see his brothers nanny in real life he sends her the golden ticket. Too bad Danielle doesn't know anything about him. So what will he do when she finds out?
Holden has wanted Danielle since she walked into his house to become his nanny. Little did he know that she would be at Mystique Island on the one weekend he just wanted to forget about her.
This story is about three people that have no idea what their weekend is about to become. The ending is wonderful and great. Loved it. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

Forbidden Three by Kira Blakely a five-star read that will turn your head three times. Amazing is one of the things I could say about this series, it is about fantasy and forgetting reality while away on a mysterious island but also this one shows that as much as we try life isn’t always neatly packaged and doesn’t come in equal pairs. Blakely after dark is a great series filled with darker and naughtier reads and this may just be my favourite. This is the forth book in the series and Danielle Powell is a great character she knows what she wants and how she is going to get it, by being a nanny in the short term she can earn enough to get her pilot licence that will be her dreams come true, she wouldn’t risk that for her boss, would she? Or his brother? Choices will be made and we all know the rhyme two’s company and three’s a crown, is that true? Danielle and the Long brothers are about to find out.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. What is a young woman to do when she has high aspirations for herself but lacks the money? Well Dani wants to become a commercial pilot and has no way of getting that money unless she gets a job with a very generous salary. In fact, she is lucky and gets herself a job as nanny to Holden's little girl. Holden is a multi billionaire and is newly divorced so whilst he is incredibly attracted to Dani he knows that he can't do anything about it as his girl loves Dani and he doesn't want to upset her security with Dani there. But Holden has an identical twin brother, Joey who is younger than Holden and is a playboy to Holden's hard working business man persona. Joey decides to set Holden and Dani up but sending them both tickets for a short break at the island of Mystique. There everyone must wear a mask and so no one knows who anyone is. This way Holden can get Dani out of his system. But Joey is there too on the island. Holden and Dani know exactly who the other is as they would know each other anywhere as they've spent so much time watching each other and , oh boy, do they indulge themselves with each other. But once Joey has seen Dani he wants her for himself and lets her think that he is Holden. At the end both twins are in love with her and Dani cannot choose between them! Holden and Joey come to blows and Dani doesn't know what to do! Kira Blakely has really given us a delightful suspenseful romance here that is part 4 of a series. It can be read as a standalone or as part of the series but it will make you want to purchase the rest of the series if you haven't already. This is a fabulous read that is a MUST HAVE. With passion and lust turning to love but what a choice for Dani. How can she choose between the brothers? In fact, does she even want to choose between them? To find out this and more you need to get yourself a copy and indulge in Kira's fantasies. So very well written as I expect from all her books. She conjures up for us such wonderful stories and fabulous characters that have sizzling chemistry between them, that make you feel invested in their storyline. A great entertaining read.

An erotic trip to Mystic Island to find that love may be offered in unexpected packaging! A Must-read erotic romance with a ménage twist.
The mind of Kira Blakely must be a very interesting place. I am always thrilled to visit whenever a new book by Blakely is released; never more so than with her newest offering, “Forbidden Three.” You can read the blurb and some of the other reviews to get a better idea of the plot – which is compelling and fresh. What this reader/reviewer wants to tell you is that Blakely’s writing is magnificent. The flow of her prose is easy yet always titillating, with a sense of almost playful suspense that compels the reader to turn the next page, constantly wondering when the secret the reader knows will be revealed to the characters who are waltzing through the plot unawares. I’m not sure how she does that, by Blakely is a masterful writer because she can even include that play and intrigue in a short erotic tale like her “Forbidden” series of After Dark Novellas! This third offering, “Forbidden Three”, is significantly longer and as a result offers more in-depth characterization and a more complex plot-line. “Forbidden Three” had this reader laughing, angry, sad and full of joy and of course in that suspended sense of suspense described earlier. Although I was given an ARC copy of “Forbidden Three”, to prepare this voluntary and honest review, I plan to purchase a copy to support this superb writer. This is the third installment in the Forbidden Series.
Danielle is the nanny to Holden and is very attracted to him but doesn't want to act on anything and lose her job. Holden knows that he shouldn't have hired Danielle when he was attracted to her but he couldn't stop himself. Danielle was going to have a free weekend and was going through the mail when she noticed that both her and her boss had envelopes crusted with diamonds curious she opened hers and was shocked. Knowing that she wasn't going to let this chance slip away she decided to go. When she finds Holden she stunned that he shaved his beard off but still plots her next move when he comes to her. Things progress pretty fast and they're having sex. Then later they hook up again but he tells her its a mistake and leaves. What neither Holden and Danielle knew was that Holden's twin brother Joey sent their invites. However when he saw Danielle he knew he had to make her his so he went after her too. Danielle is confused Holden keeps flipping back and forth about them but she doesn't want to lose hope that they can be together. That is until she realizes that she's been with his twin brother Joey too. What will Danielle do? Which brother will claim her heart?
This was a great addition to the series. The heat between all three characters and the drama will keep you reading until the end. I love this series and can't wait for what's next.

In this edition of the forbidden series, it features Danielle, a young woman who is working for a billionaire named Holden as a nanny and dreams of being a pilot. Danielle has a crush on Holden and when she receives an invitation to Mystique Island, she decides to go after seeing Holden also was invited. Danielle thinks because masks are required at all times, Holden will never know it is her. Holden is going to the island in hopes of getting Danielle off his mind by meeting someone else and it will also give him a chance to see his brother Joey. Joey arranged for Danielle to be invited in hopes of giving her to his brother, but when he sees her, he wants her for himself. Danielle meets Joey and she thinks it is Holden so she goes with him, later when she sees Holden, she goes with him, thinking she was already with him. Soon the truth comes out and Danielle must choose between the brothers. I really enjoy this series and this one was no exception. The love triangle between Danielle and the men was a hard thing for all three to deal with. Danielle didn't want to hurt anyone or to get hurt, but she knew she had to. This book features a lot of heat and steam that will make you wish you could go to the island yourself, another good one.

Full of surprises
This was my first book by Kira Blakely, but it won’t be my last! The story flowed smoothly from scene to scene. The characters are relatable and believable within the story. There are so many surprises in this story. It made it impossible to put it down. There are three main characters in this story; Holden, his twin brother, Joey, and Danielle. At first you think the storyline is moving in one direction toward only two being together but then everything changes. You think okay this is going to be the way the story moves but then it changes again. There are HEAs for everyone in this story. These three have a dynamic and highly sexual relationship. The scenes between either two or three of them are molten! I loved this story and will definitely be reading the other books by Kira Blakely.

Danielle is trying to save money for pilot school. She landed an amazing nanny job with Holden. He is a good guy who just went through a divorce. Her only problem is she has a huge crush on him. Holden has always been responsible, He does the right thing, however all he wants is his daughters Nanny. Both of them receive and invitation to Mystique Island. Thinking its her chance to be with Holden she decides to go. Holden goes thinking he will get Danielle off of his mind and spend time with his brother Joey. Everything soon turns to secrets, and fulfilled fantasies. Only none of them expect what will happen in the end. This is one of my favorites. Definitely surprised how things turned out this is a must read!

Ok, so we have book three in the Forbidden Series. You don't have to read the previous books to enjoy this one, but once you've read about this trip to Mystique Island you'll want to read the others. As with all the other books in the series, this one is written with all three characters POV's. This is one steamy melt your panties book. The intense chemistry between twin brothers Holden, Joey & the nanny Danielle is off the charts HOT! How will Danielle choose between the two hot sexy brothers...does she have to? Amazingly well written story with the hint of kink and a lot of steamy hot scenes.
The characters are likeable and well described.

This is book four in the Forbidden Series and the series just keeps getting better. Quite a story that will have your head spinning at times. Danielle, the nanny for Holden finds herself on an island resort with her boss Holden and his twin brother Joey. She finds herself attracted to both. Forbidden Three is the fourth book of the Blakely After Dark series, and it brings us Holly, Holden and Joey. I love the mysterious air of Mystique Island, where anything can happen, and usually for a good reason! Through misassumptions and mistakes, Holly end up with Joey and also with Holden. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Well, based on the heat that was generated between Holly and the guys, I'd say good!! But read on and find out what happens - this novella was so enjoyable, and the steamy aura of the island and the special gold invitations make this truly an amazing read.

Danielle receives anonymous envelope to go to a island to have anonymous sex with anyone that you want. The only rule is that you have to wear a mask at all times. Danielle hopes that Holden goes so she can get him out of her system once and for all. I loved the storyline and plot. This was a great read. This book was captivating and so where the characters.

This book takes the typical billionaire and the nanny story and raises the heat level multiplying the billionaire by two (and twins at that) and locates it on an island where all your naughty fantasies are allowed. I love the escape that these Mystique Island books provide. These sexy, steamy romps to the island are quickly becoming one of my favorite series. I couldn't wait to see Danielle finally get together with her boss... But the deception and the way the book ended rubbed me the wrong way. I still enjoyed the story, but I wish it had just stayed the two of them...

Another great hot and steamy read in this wonderful series. Love going back to Mystique Island! Danielle goes to Mystique Island thinking she'll spend the weekend with her boss, Holden. She finds out it was actually his twin brother, Joey. Tempers flare, fists fly and ultimatums are given all rounding up to a surprise ending!

December 4, 2023Forbidden Three was the fourth book in the Forbidden series. However, I chose not to read it, not because of the MFM aspect, but because I just didn't enjoy the first three books as much as I had hoped I would. While the stories were good, they just didn't live up to their potential and I didn't want to have another disappointing experience reading this story.
However, I hope anyone else who reads this book finds an enjoyment I didn't.

Steamy! Danielle works for Holden a sexy billionaire she has fallen for, she gets an invitation to Mystique Island and is hoping for the opportunity to be with her boss. Instead, she gets so much more. This is a fast paced read the story is entertaining and the sex is steamy. I really liked it.

Danielle was unwittingly caught between Holden and Joey in the beginning. Joey came across as an arrogant ass in the beginning using Danielle to get back at his brother. Thankfully everything worked itself out in the end and Jessie wasn't adversely affected.

So much better than I expected. This was very well written book. There is plenty of heat but also a thought out storyline with characters that have depth. I thought I knew where the story was going but I didn’t. It’s not often I get it wrong but for this one I did. I’d definitely recommend.

First Kira Blakely book
Have to say I enjoyed this book. I'm surprised and pleased with the way it ended, although to me it should have been obvious from the moment she learned of Joey. But that's just my opinion. I tend to love the hot bad boy that has a soft side. Good job Kira!

I could see the writing on the wall from the first two encounters. I'm so glad there was an epilogue and it ended the way I wanted.
