Jealous Alpha

Rate this book

My woman! Many had vied for her position, some had spent years trying to get my notice without any luck. My position and wealth was a huge draw for some, my looks another. She was the first woman not to give a damn about either.
Is that why I’d fallen for her so easily? Was it her aloof manner that enticed me, drew me to her? Is it the constant wondering of whether or not she’d been that way with him that kept this jealousy alive?
As to that, I’ve never harbored jealousy or envy against anyone in my life, I never had to. I was born with everything I could possibly need and from then until now had never wanted for anything. Whatever I wanted I took.
And then there’s Gia, my woman. I’ve taken her but the love she once bore her dead husband still haunts me. I won’t stop until I’ve erased him from her memory no matter what it takes.

NO! HELL TO THE NO! FUCK NO!
ALL of the above was for heroine being nice to someone at social gathering. Just smiling and being polite.
Can someone shoot me now? How can a woman, ANY woman write this and claim this is romance and how can any reader be ok with this?
Let me guess. None of you people have been a victim of domestic violence and sexual abuse. And it’s so easy for you to fantasise, sexualise and romanticise both rape and domestic violence.
Well guess what, I’m a fucking victim and survivor of domestic violence! And that up there is pure and simple sexual and domestic violence! And rape!
There was NO con-non-con or dub-con about that!
There was NO consent there because the heroine never had any fucking chance!
He kept on abusing her and raping her until she finally was broken!
And this is going to be there relationship.
Every time anyone looks at her, he’s going to beat her up and rape her.
And the saddest part is she has a child. A girl child. And she’s going to allow this man to be in that child’s life? I would die before I let my daughter be exposed to a man like this, and I’m a bitch, she’s apparently the loveliest woman in earth?
If you liked this book, please keep your opinion to yourself because I’m not sure how one can have “different opinions “ about domestic violence and sexual abuse or rape. But even if you miraculously somehow can justify your opinion please keep it to yourself. I don’t want to know. Because I’d like to keep respecting you, and nothing you say is going to make this fucking shit acceptable.

The hero of this book was so hilariously over the top. He was one of those heroes that would generally have you running to the nearest police station for a restraining order. But it is fiction, and he amused me with his crazy ass ways. The heroine, on the other hand, was annoying as f-ck. I think her personality button was stuck on angry biatch. (lol). Of course, he had a freakishly large peen (11.5 inches of hard loving man meat) that he used as a battering ram against her cervix. What kind of JS book would it be without that?! So yea, I liked it enough to give it 3-Stars. I know when I start one of this author's books that I am going to be getting a whole lot of over the top ridiculousness. So I just go with it and enjoy them for what they are meant to be.

"Jealous Alpha" is the story of Gia and Evan.

This story left me with many mixed feelings.

The book starts when our h and H bump in a coffee shop where the hero is instantly smitten, after which she disappears. Soon, it happens that she is his new architect, hired by his brother- something that gives him immense jealousy. He sets out to claim her, only later realizing that she is a widow with a kid..

Now with the craziness of it all..

The negatives:
The hero was kinda a psycho. Like I thought IJ wrote insane heroes, but this one took it to a new level. He was jealous of every. single. thing the heroine did. That she was married before. That she had a kid before him (which was weird because his solution initially was to breed her, and LATER to care about the poor child). He was insanely jealous when the heroine was even in a room with his brother, and went nuts when she tried to have an opinion (yes I know she was hiding her feelings but WOMEN DO THAT). The most cuckoo he got was when she spoken with OM in the party, for which he meted out an insane sexual punishment. Like mind boggling and stupid.
I honestly, HONESTLY, felt bad for her vagina. Like what's with all the cervix ploughing. You know any cervical dilatation hurts like a mofo. He would choke the heroine, anal her hard, have sex with her for days without rest (well his rest was giving her oral)- and whenever she cried her sexed her more because if he bred her she couldn't ever leave him..
Also its 2018.
Rant over.

The positives:
The hero genuinely was crazy about the heroine. He initially was jealous of her daughter and past love, but I'd like to believe that by the end he came to understand her past, and definitely fall for the daughter. He also loved her in his own psycho way.

In the end, I'd like to say that even though I love jealous possessive heroes, this one bordered on very insane and bipolar, and gave out sexual punishment like candies. It's the type of hero who wouldn't let the heroine do anything ever without him. And that was a bit concerning.

I don't know how to rate this.

Read #2: I've moved this down to four stars. Here's a more accurate breakdown for me:

Steam: 5 stars
Story: 4 stars
Writing: 3 Stars

This book was a lot of hot dirty sex. So if you're looking for that, look no further! Just be aware it's definitely some dubious consent stuff here. So just.. beware.

The one thing about the story that really bothered me was that I felt like the dark spot should have been the heroine finally asserting herself and getting away from him. Not her KINDA chasing after him. After how he treated her I thought that was a little off balance. Still I enjoyed it.

Read #1 - I really liked that this book was completely from the males POV. Those parts are always my favorite in romances. However, it did make Gia, our female lead, a little flat and one dimensional. I’m not sure enough time was spent on her.

I really enjoyed my time inside Evan’s head. It’s messed and f’ed up and a bit out of control. Is he controlling? Definitely! Does he do things a little creepily? Absolutely. Does he almost cross the line sometimes? Most assuredly! But that’s what made him so hot to me.

The writing is not stellar but again, I appreciated the different point of view, his controlling ways, and the pure steaminess. There is assuredly a HEA.

I will definitely try some more from this author.

Whiskey Tango Fox, this was sickening

***spoilers*** This book was so terrible it made me cringe. Absolute zero romance in this book. Sex was abusive. She cries with pain and she begs him to stop, and he doesn’t and just tells her she has to take it. He “trains” her to take him in the a$& when he gets her pregnant. He overrides her at every turn. Chokes her during sex. Mind you none of this is consensual , it’s forced, the girl is literally crying through most of the sex. He doesn’t listen to no and tells her to stop pushing him away when he is hurting her. It was all kinds of horrible and I am left wondering where all the 5 Star reviews came from. If you are a fan of Alpha romance ( guy that is a bit pushy but protective) this is not it. This is the type of guy who people would get a restraining order against. Just to reinforce what a DH this guy is- he is mad at the girl for having pictures of her daughters dead father all over the house. He attacks her over and over about it. Wow, I want to bleach my mind of this crap.

In male POV like most of her recent books, about a possessive obsessive hero who falls for heroine from first sight. Also has some dubious content and rough sex.

4.25 stars!

A very jealous alpha

An almost not typical Jordan Silver book as the heroine is surprisingly NOT a virgin, but a widowed single mom who loved her dead husband. But he was certainly the typical jealous alpha.

My thoughts about this book:

I have to honestly say..that i truly came to like this book.
Evan Chandler and Giavanna Gritti steams the pages up with their forceful chemistry and the SEX-SCENES WHERE HOLY SMUCK HOT..No wonder Jordan Silver is the Queen in writing those. We get to read the whole story from Evan`s POV-and i understand that many disliked this book because of his character. He is a Anti-hero, hardcore Alpha to the bone where he couldn`t even stand his own brother (he knows very well that Gavin are mad about his fiance) looking at Gia,and when he well got to know that Gia had been married before and that she had loved her husband and even have a child with him-that struck him in a very jealous rage throughout the story, and i am full down head sure that he would have killed that other man if he was alive. He is a very besotted and obsessed hero-to the point that he full well tells her that he love her early on. The sex-stamina he has...Holy Jeezuz he fucks her for hours and never tires of it.
He could be a gentle lover, demanding lover, wild lover...but he could also become violent in bed (always because of jealousy) and that must have been a trigger for a lot of readers. But Gia was in it,never out of it which means that she understood him, that`s why it didn`t really irk me that much.
(This book is not for everyone, that`s a WARNING!)

One of Evan`s very possessive thoughts about Gia-and the very proof to his ruthless and murderously jealousy:

"As I watched her taking so much care of another man’s child I knew what I had to do. Get one of my own in her as soon as fucking possible.
That’s the only way I can think of to tame this beast that had been awakened in me. There was envy, anger, jealousy...all dark emotions running riot in my heart."

They fell irrevocably in love with each other and the consuming love and passion Evan felt for Gia simply took me over. He saw her as his equal and saw no boundaries to show his feelings for her. Gia slowly opened up to him and dared to open her heart for him in the end, in which the way they finally get their HEA.!

The only reason "Jealous Alpha" didn`t get full-head 5-STARS is because of the writing. The story itself is incredible and the characters interesting ,and JS had a lot of potential at making this one a masterpiece of a novel, but i somehow felt that she didn`t want to get deeper into it than what she did (which shows in the way she gives the EXTRA effort in the sex-scenes).But the writing got better later on (or i probably got used to it) and the epilogue even made me shed some tears-of HAPPINESS.!

I have never rated a book, but this is the one to break that rule. If I could rate it less than one star I would, this whole thing was disgustingly rapey and forceful. Many time the heroine is literally telling the main male no, and he just keeps on plowing. I would definitely avoid this if you can, and I am sorry to any victims of abuse who stumbled upon this thinking it would be just another raunchy novel with a dominant (but not forceful) leading man.

Evan was a 32 y/o obsessive man. Sometimes his action and jealousy were ridiculous. I even thought he likes forcing her sexually. Hmm..
His brother hired a new architect, Giavanni, the one who ran onto him at the coffee shop.
Giavanni, 25 y/o widow with a 4 y/o sick child.
At first Evan always tease and makes her mad and she keeps on avoiding him.
Since he was so big with an eleven inch cock, Gia always seems to be struggling in their sex. Yuckk.
He manhandled her into accepting a new babysitter, moving them out into his house and ensure she had his baby and marrying him.
She ended up delivering a twin set of boy and girl.

What we have here is a story of a very “alpha” type male that finds himself sunk fast and hard by a woman, and very soon afterwards, her daughter. These feelings of love and possessiveness were previously unknown and he doesn’t know how to handle them, especially when the woman had been “owned” by another man. That was another situation that made our H a little (a lot) crazy - will the only woman he’s ever loved be able to love him? Or will the ghost of her dead husband always keep her from giving herself over completely? Our H acted rashly at times and our h didn’t help matters by refusing to give up the past and not seeing what was in her present and her future.
Luckily, like all Jordan Silver stories, our H and h redeem themselves and we get a super sexy love story with a happy hea with babies, of course.
It is not in question that I adore Jordan Silver. She has a rather large following and that means she has a rather large following that disparage her work as well. If you’ve never read Jordan Silver I would like to say you won’t be disappointed but to face facts - Jordan’s alphas are extreme. She has domestic discipline in a lot of her stories (spankings, punishment by various means including sexual), her alpha males tend to act like a-holes before they redeem themselves, they are hotheaded, rich, self assured, sexy, hung, obsessive and possessive. If you can’t handle that in your stories, you get offended by men disciplining grown women or angry f-ing them then do yourself a favor DON’T read her stories. But if you enjoy extremely hot sexy times with well hung rich guys, stories that are full of passion and feels no matter how long or short - give her a try. I’m not ever going to be sorry I did

Classic Jordan Silver but better!

This story started out different from what I’m used to from Madame Butterfly. The speed and build up between Gia and Evan was slow and steady. While there was chemistry brewing it was sweeter and paced well with his chase of her. But when he claimed Gia, Ms. Silver came out hot and hard! Sex so hot I’d advise you to have your hunny on standby!
Gia’s fears and Evan charge! attitude have placed this story firmly in my reread Silver pile! No one writes a dominant and Alpha man like Jordan Silver!!

I love it!!!

If your into a hard headed, wanna pull your hair out and kiss him senseless at the same time alpha, then Evan is a good bet and if your wanting a soft, hard headed, bold, smart, I wish I was her then Gia is the one. Heartbreaking and wtf with some funny in there is what you get with this amazing story.

I have not finished this book yet. I’m not even half way. I’m at 30% and it freaking sucks! The MMC is a weirdo who is playing games mostly by himself and is basically having a relationship with the FMC, also, all by himself(!). Besides that, I honestly bought this book thinking it was a shifter story, but it turned out to be way worse than that. Idk what this author was going for with this story but so far it’s well off. Smdh.

UPDATE

I finally made myself slog through the rest of this book. And while I still disliked the MMC because he was delusional and a weirdo, the story eventually played out just like JS’s other books do. Steamy and obsessive. Still the plot line was stupid and both characters were unlikable to me. I probably will never read this book again unless I skip over half of the story. That would honestly defeat the purpose of the whole book at that point. Good luck.

Jealous Alpha is SO apropos for our newest family member!!!! Evan’s jealousy rivals Lyons, and that’s saying something. Toward the end we find out why Gia fights so hard against Evan’s love and it absolutely breaks my heart. Evan proves to her that he’s not going anywhere and Gia blossoms. Another awesome story from the one and only Jordan Silver.

Great read!

Loved this book! Ignore the bad reviews. I have no clue what book some people were reading it it wasn't this one! I am glad I didn't pay attention to the reviews. There was not rape or abuse in this book. This was an alpha male (yes an alpha) who was jealous yes but not abusive. He did everything he could for his woman and her child.

I would put Jordan on your must read list and ignore the hater reviews if you love a HOT and passionate read. Jordan's book have a spice level of HOT. So if you can't take HOT then you probably should move on.

Evan feels a spark when he meets new architect Gia, but she is not falling for him like women usually do. Evan wants Gia, Gia is not willing to admit she wants Evan but once he has her he plans on keeping her by his side. Problem is Evan gets jealous thinking of Gia's past, especially the father to Gia's daughter. Will he let his jealousy ruin the best thing that has happened to him?

This was a fun read. If you are in the mood for OTT alpha male one to pick up.

Now this was a Jordan read

This is one of my favorites from this author! No can write a alpha like she can, wowza so freakin hot!! I want an Evan, do they even make men like that anymore? You have officially redeemed yourself self from the last husband book (Vengeful Husbands I think it was). Great job, this one is definitely going in the reread pile, right next to passion😀
