Born and raised in the Rocky Mountains, Anne L. Parks has spent the last 28 years moving all over the United States. Married to the Navy – well a Commander in the Navy – Parks has lived in various locales throughout the United States. She currently resides in the Washington D.C area. When not writing, she spends her time reading, doing yoga, mountain biking, and keeping track of four kids and a very spoiled rescue German Shepherd. And drinking wine.

Author of nine novels (Tri-Stone Trilogy, Return To Me series, and Strangers) and four novellas that have been published in anthologies, she loves to create stories with mystery, plenty of twists and turns, and loaded with suspense.

With a military husband, it was only a matter of time before she broke into the military romantic suspense genre, where she feels right at home amongst highly trained, somewhat jaded, ready to take out terrorists alpha males and the strong, brave women who love them. Parks first military romance, MIA, went to #1 on Amazon’s Kindle World. Thirteen more books will be released in her new series, The 13. Two other series are being planned.

Favorite Quotes:

“Hot date with Rosie, sir?” Bart asked, raising his hand and spreading out his fingers.

… she didn’t need the reminder that her husband wanted a woman who was basically the town bicycle—most men in the area had ridden her at one time or another.

How she had ever thought that man was her lifelong partner was a mystery to her. She chalked it up to youth and stupidity.

You saved a lost, wandering soul, Dr. Sutton. And released him in a way that was honorable.

My Review:

Conrad was a quick, action-packed, and eventful read that started in the heat of Syria and ended in a small town in Montana. I enjoyed the premise, characters, and easy to follow storyline that included a bit of everything - heartbreak, humor, steam, a sweet dog, betrayal, danger, and suspense.

Conrad and Julie are instantly attracted to each other but due to their current job it wouldn't be right for them to act on their attraction. Some stuff goes down and this is a real test to both characters. My heart was sad for both Conrad and Julie because when things finally start to look up and come together, boom! Seeing the characters struggle to move on was hard at time. I wanted to shake Conrad and tell him to get his girl and dog back!!

Anne L. Parks is an author that I need more of my book people to read. She is such a talented writer and I’ve been a fan of hers since ”Strangers”. The story has the perfect mix of romance and suspense. I loved the pacing of the story. The writing was good as always. The plot held my attention right up until the very end!

Conrad/Georgie/Doc

There is nothing quite a sexy as a man seriving to protect. I love reading these romances. They gives hope where little to none exist. This time have two souls that served our country in needed of healing. The third soul ties them together.

This was the journey of Conrad and Doc and their begining, middle and ending. How through it all they found each other with the help of serivce and a sweet dog named Georgie. Oh let me not forget a little danger, action, heat, laughs, and suspense.

I hope to read more in the Brotherhood Protectors series.

This is the first book by this author that I have read, and I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed the characters, and lately, I have found I love animals in stories, so I really enjoyed Georgie, the dog, being a big part of the story.

Conrad: Brotherhood Protectors World is by Anne L. Parks. This involves Army Rangers in Syria and the brotherhood that builds between men on each team and their dogs.
Conrad Matthews was fed up with Syria and the sand. This was their third kill or capture mission in six days. So far, they had been lucky so their luck could run out. Also, several of the members of the team were scheduled to be discharged within a short period of time and that could mean their luck would run out. However, this was still a mission, so he and his team needed to be on full alert. As they entered the house, the six-man team split into three teams of two to search the three-floor home. Conrad and his friend Kidd took the basement with Georgie, Conrad’s dog. The insurgent there was attacked by Georgie and as Kidd went to tie him up, he drew a knife and attacked. Georgie put the man out of his misery; but Kidd had been cut.
When they got back to the base, Conrad and Georgie went to the hospital with Kidd. Dr. Julie Sutton fixed him up after she had a run-in with Conrad. She had only four weeks left before she went home. She outranked Conrad so nothing could happen between them before she left. She chalked her attraction to him up to being tired and just getting her divorce papers. However, when she agreed to go see her native assistant’s little girl who was ill, she asked Conrad and Kidd to escort her. It was a set-up and they were captured, placed in a locked room, and the house blown up.
The book is really good and keeps you on your toes. It is a great summer read to escape book.

A fantastic book and a great addition to the brotherhood kindleworld. Conflict of war is never easy especially if there are superstitions about what happens when you have so little time left before you go home or someone who was once a friend becomes an enemy.

Conrad is an army ranger and dog handler, Georgie his dog, his best friend. Has 8 weeks to go before he goes home from Syria, his friend Kidd only has 4 weeks. Julie is the doc doing her job again with only 4 weeks to go things can change in an instance. She calls to her junior docs daughter as she isn’t well but when she gets there she knows something is wrong. Julie, Conrad, Georgie and Kidd are left in an annex which they know has explosives in. Conrad is injured and blames it all on Julie who leaves without a backward glance.

Back home and Julie has Georgie and is waiting for Conrad to come and get her. Conrad finds where his dog is and goes to see her. Old feelings come back but there is a greater force at work as Julie is targeted. Who wants Julie dead? Who wants her out the way? Is it the enemy she fought before coming home or is it someone she didn’t expect? I loved this story from start to finish and although Conrad blames Julie I could understand how he felt at that moment in time. It shocked me when we finally find out who has it in for Julie. I didn’t see that coming.

Conrad by Anne L. Parks is a military romance. The story starts out in the war zone of Syria. Conrad is an Army Ranger and canine handler and Julie is Doctor. There is an instant attraction between the two of them. Julie ends up asking Conrad and his friend Kidd to accompany her to a fellow doctors to care for his sick daughter. While there they get a feeling that something isn't right. Conrad ends up getting hurt and blames Julie. Julies tour is over and she looses contact with Conrad and heads home to her medical practice. Once home Julie gets a friend to help her adopt Conrad's service dog Georgie till he gets his head straight and comes for the dog. During this time Julie keeps getting threatening letters and she believes they are from an ex-patient. Once Conrad gets his head on straight he realizes he screwed up where Julie was concerned. He finally decides it time to find Goergie and make amends with Julie. Once he sees her again those old feelings for each other come back and he will do anything to make it right between them again as well as protect her with his life if he needs to.
This is a great story that has it all, action, twist and turns and a little mystery. Can't wait to see whats next from this author! I was given an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Can two souls find love in the midst of war?

This is such a fantastic story about finding love in the destruction of war in Syria. When you add in Georgie the Military War Dog who'll protect her handler, Conrad and then later Doctor Sutton you'll fall in love.

Conrad loves being a Army Ranger and his dog Georgie gives them both a purpose while fighting the enemy in Syria. But when one of his team mates gets hurt he takes him to the combat hospital. Little does he know that when Dr. Sutton orders him to leave that he'll fall in love with her. But when a terrorist attacks his unit, Georgie and Doc that his injury will end his career making him blame her for it. Can he learn to accept his injury and apologize to Julie ?

Dr. Julie Sutton wants to complete her tour at the hospital in Syria so she can get back home to Eagle Rick, Montana. When she's offers to visit one of her students child who is ill after hours little does she know how it will change all of their lives as a IED goes off leaving several in the unit injured. But once back home threats start to come in the mail which only leads her to think could it be one of her former patients.

The ending will have you going "I didn't see that coming as well" as will the bravery of one person who is a suspect and will help save all of them.

>Book Review – Brotherhood Protectors: Conrad
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 1st in the Brotherhood Protectors series and ends with an HEA. The first part of this book introduces Ranger, Conrad and some of his team, and his dog, Georgie. Doc Julie comes in to play as injuries occur. The attraction between Conrad and Julie is taboo, but they can’t fight their feelings. During a house call gone wrong, Conrad and Georgie retire and Julie returns home to start her life over after her divorce.
>There are a lot of threats that are hard to nail down. Julie has soldiers upset and blaming her for their forced medical retirements, including Conrad. She has a threatening stalker and an uneasy situation with her ex living in the same town. The threats to Julie bring Conrad back from his depression and back to Julie and Georgie. The relationship between a soldier and his dog is awesome to see, especially in the scene with Julie trying to help Georgie when Conrad is injured.
> This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 5 stars. The story is well crafted and a real page turner with a lot of romantic suspense.

Conrad by Anne L. Parks is a great romance with a military theme. Anne writes these so well, and you can tell her writing comes from a love for these service men and women who sacrifice so much and who often come home broken and hurting. The emotions at play between Doc Julie and her Ranger Conrad flow from page to page and catch the reader in their powerful momentum. The conflict is very real, the climax exciting, and the resolution, oh, so satisfying. For a wonderful read that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you smiling at the end, read Conrad.

Gotta love a woman with sass to kick some...... Even better when a man loves it - now that's a match!

Doctor Sutton tore into him and kicked him out....he listen was pissed and then thought of was sexy as hell and even apologized. Conrad was worried about his military brother but da!n that doc was impressive. When sparks fly in a hot zone you know things are not a typical fair tale. There is the special missions overseas and the trouble back in the states. Action, adventure, challenges and every military knows if its worth having its worth fitting for.....great book. Violence 2, sex2

Conrad by Anne L Parks is one of the Brotherhood Protectors novellas and is about Sergeant Conrad Matthews, an army dog handler, and Dr. Julie Sutton, who works in the field. They meet initially when Doc treats Conrad’s buddy Kidd’s injury, and despite their recognition that they really can’t be together without breaking the rules...they end up breaking the rules.

Ms. Parks’ story is a great read, giving us insight into Julie and Conrad’s all too understandable emotions and concerns. When they both end up stateside, a stalker brings them together under the care of the Brotherhood Protectors. Also a terrific read for animal lovers, as the wonderful Georgie does her job and does it well!

Love me a man in uniform and yeah Conrad fits the bill. He is a little rough around the edges and doesn't always come off in the best light but he has a heart of gold and is a man of honor. Doc, love her and her gumption. A lady, an Officer, and a Doctor, and has serious back bone! A woman after my own heart. The two of them together is magic but some other folks may have other ideas. A quick read from this author who cane give it all in a fast story, heat, action, suspense and an hea. This is a really good standalone read.

Oh WOW! This book ticked all the correct boxes for me: Hot non-com Military man, a forbidden/off limits romance with a female officer and doctor, Georgie an adorable and well trained military canine, mystery and danger and then lets not forget the hot sex scenes... OH MY! This book was a quick and satisfying read and while this was my first read from this author, I quickly marked that I will be following her for future books.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.

A military story starting in Syria of Army Ranger Conrad Matthew ( who has always wanted to be a ranger and only sees that as who he is )who meets Dr. Julie Sutton( smart educated and in the process of a divorce ). Conrad has a k 9 dog Georgie who is well trained and they are super close . A terrorist scene changes Conrad’s world as he knows it . Are they only attracted because of the situation in which they met ? The story the author writes with true feeling.

Good read

Julie met Conrad when he brought Kidd into the clinic to be stitched up. She threw him out and threatened him with insubordination. The next day he apologized to her and they started a hidden affair. They were falling in love when he was injured. He was hurt enough that he was discharged from the military. Until Kidd came by and told him his dog was being put up for adoption. He left the next morning to go to Montana to get him.

Suspense and excitement

This story is full of suspense and excitement, especially in the second half. The characters are very likable. The first part of the book had a lot of crudeness. I know that is reality but I don't enjoy reading it. I loved that there was a strong, brave military dog on the story. Great ending.

Conrad will touch your heart

This book will touch your heart. Conrad and Doc are a perfect match and add Georgie into the mix and you have a perfect family. I have a soft place on my heart for service dogs and their handlers and in this book the relationship was perfectly written. Anne Parks is a new author to me and I will be reading more of her work.

Military Romances are Never Dull

This was a very fast and intense read, kind of like the romance between Conrad and "Doc" Julie.
I was impressed with the whole story. Starting off in a sandy war zone and ending up based around Doc's place (and the Brotherhood Protection Agency) in MT, this gives you ALL the feels and a few really good twists.

Danger & romance

Great story of second chances—loved the military dog Georgie too. She kind of brought the doc and him together. When they are released from service, they find their way back to each other.
