I think it's human nature to think of the negative first, and be fearful of the unknown, whether it be about the future, or something you're dealing with at the moment. This book gives you the some practical applications you can use to turn your way of thinking around. And within time you see what an amazing difference it makes in your life when you apply what you've learned.
I loaned my copy out a long time ago, and never got it back! I would like to think it was because it was working well for that person and they couldn't bear to part with it. Or they loaned it out too...It is one of those books you want to share.

Powerful medicine for attitude healing.

This is another classic from Jerry and Diane. For me, it was a bit of a more difficult read than their earlier works. It is more comprehensive and global approach. The last third of the the book really resonated with me and reminded me of the concepts and power of the attitudinal healing principles. I struggled in the middle third of the book but it was definitely worthwhile reading through to the end.

Easy to read, and this book may be thought of as a primer to A Course In Miracles. While Jampolsky said a few things I liked, overall I found this book boring and I wanted to get through it as quickly as possible. His phrase "Attitudinal Healing" is the process of changing your thoughts and attitudes, and many ancedotes are used to convey the message. The premise is that things, people and events "out there" do not cause us anxiety or depair or conflict, it is our attitude that causes our negative reactions, and if we can change our attitude we will have a happier life.

The edition I have is not reflected in Goodreads choices.

This book was tough to make myself read. Parts of it were, in my cynical opinion, are a bit hokey but there were also some real truths that ran through it.

Very interesting. Simple ideas to adopt for attitudinal healing, though it will take lots of effort and practice for implementation.
