Trident Security: Omega Team #0.5
Mountain of Evil
Dropped into the Rocky Mountains, the Omega team has minimal supplies and only two days to make it back to civilization…
Trident Security has grown by leaps and bounds, and to accommodate the increased caseload, they’ve compiled a team of seven—the best of the best from military and law enforcement backgrounds. But before they’re turned out to handle their own assignments, the six men and one woman must first prove they’re a cohesive and capable unit.
When the wilderness training mission turns into a real-life rescue op, will they all survive?
*This novella is a bridge between the original Trident Security (TS) series and the spinoff series, Trident Security Omega Team. While it is not necessary to read the original TS series or this prequel before the Omega Team series, it will give the reader more insight and background into the members of Trident Security.
**The Trident Security and its spinoff series contain passionate romance, nail-biting suspense, and happily-ever-afters.

Mountain Of Evil -- Novella
Samantha A cole
5 stars -- although she is killing me
This cliffhanger and scandalous release from Samantha has us building a bridge between the Trident and Omega team of Trident Security. In the Trident series we meet our Omega team briefly but push further in depth with these characters in Mountain Of Evil -- Which I'm pretty sure Samantha was laughing when she titled this book because evil she is ...
Upon dropping into the mountains the Omega Team is on their final mission before being released on their own. Working together has to be flawless and the team has to move as a unit .. not individuals. No sooner than their boots hitting ground the team finds out there is a real mission; a missing hiker. Vanished -- completely gone. No trace -- Ian Sawyer needs his team to stay the course but in a series of unforeseen events .. well we know that never happens with the guys. They are heros ... and heros always save the day.
Love the cover by the way -- eye catching and the detail is magnificent. I also love that you get a complete run down of who is who and what is what at the beginning of the novella. Again you don't have to read the previous series but I would highly recommend going back and clicking all of those up prior to waiting for the release of A Dead Mans Pulse.
There is a cliffhanger from a back story --- and this is where the "bad author" comes in. She is making us wait -- making us think -- she is torturing us. LOL -- Keep them coming Samantha because you are killing me. You and the boys are sitting back laughing -- I know it. Well played .. well played.
Next up: A Dead Mans Pulse -- TS Omega Team Book 1

Another awesome fast-paced book by Samantha A Cole. Mountain of Evil once again showcases her dedication to research and her law enforcement background. She effortlessly weaves together a story bringing together teams from all different law enforcement and military backgrounds. It's fast-paced and mission-oriented without feeling overly technical.
In past Trident novels, we've met the Omega members as they've been hired and begun their training, in MOE we are treated to an up, close and personal look at their backgrounds and motivations for joining TS. Each team member comes from a different law enforcement, or military, background and has seen, or experienced, things that would break lesser mortals.
As a last training detail before being declared mission ready, the team is dropped into a remote mountain range high above Colorado with limited resources. They have two days to work across the mountain range to get to their extraction site. Should be no problem for an experienced team of professional badasses that already get along like a house on fire but plans change when Boss Man announces a college student is lost on their side of the mountain. Bad guys, badasses, and bears, oh my! Can the team save the hiker and complete their mission in time?
For those partial to the BDSM elements of the Trident books, remember this is an introduction novella bridging the gap between the Trident teams, but we do get to spend some time with Ian and Angie. I'd call this BDSM-lite. We're also brought closer to the identity of the "Kink Killer" as the end of this book brings TS fully on-board with the investigation.
For anyone new to the series, I highly recommend reading the other books in order to understand the elements regarding the mystery of the missing submissives in the Tampa area. I cannot wait for Dead Man's Pulse!

The newest members of Trident Security are front and center in this story. We learn details about each of these characters as they undergo their latest mission.

Trident Security is growing and they have added another team to their growing group, Omega Team. Yet a training exercise goes into a hunt for a missing woman who has vanished during a hike and no trace of her is found.
Will the six men and one woman be able to work together to find Mallory Hart in time or have Ian and Devon Sawyer picked the wrong group of people to work together given their varied backgrounds?
This was a great introduction to the new Omega Team and I am so excited that the author has introduced a new set of characters into this amazing series.
This book introduces us to each of the characters with a small introduction on each of them and what they bring to the team and what their background is. It's enough to suck us all in and get us ready for the new series that will be coming.
I liked that the training exercise turned more serious and we were able to see how they all worked together to find Mallory. I liked Mallory's story and how she never stopped fighting for her life.
I am eagerly waiting for the next series and I loved the references to the ongoing hunt for the serial killer that is through out the original series.

Once again Samantha Cole has lured me in captured my full attention and left me going Oh My God, this book is done already, but I want more!
"Mountain of Evil" , starts out as. the new omega teams last training run before being set out on their own, dropped in the mountains with minimal equipment and two days to work as a team and get to a pick up site But what should be a cake walk soon turne into a little something more.
A call from Bossman Ian on the sat phone alerting the team to be on the lookout for a missing college student ; turning the trip into a life and death rescue mission . A mission that has you flying through the pages and becoming more familiar with the new team members.
I am know looking foward to this new team meeting their kinky mates and for some their vanilla mates and she more kick ass missions!

This book was written as kind of a prequel for the new Trident Security Omega team. I am so excited for the series to continue. This story was amazing and I loved the team building and the banter and coming together that this training exercise turned mission gave this team.. Samantha is an amazing writer and if you are new to her books, dive in and start binge reading because they are full of more than just romance. There's always plenty of intrigue, action and kick ass team members who have served our country in one capacity or another. 5 very excited stars. Best book I've read in a long time.

Once again Samantha Cole has blown me away with her writing. I have said this everytime she releases a new book and I will say it again, I loved Mountain of Evil.
Samantha merges two teams together, Omega and Trident Security. These two teams form one hell of a team. A unique group men and women who have fought for their country. Now they are brought togethor in gripping storyline that will leave you begging for more. But don't we always beg Sam for more..We hate to see the very last page in her books. We know it has to end sometime right?
If I could rate this book higher than a 5, I would. It deserves a 10 if not more than that!!!!! And no one claims Batman but me. He is mine!!!!!

This book was fantastic! Omega, a recently formed team as a branch of Trident Security consisting of seven highly trained operatives, heads on a training mission in the mountains. Along the way they are called upon to help with a dangerous situation. As with books about the Trident Team, we are now introduced to the Omega team. I enjoyed their banter and learning a little about who they are and where they came from. An added bonus is the Trident Team is mentioned so we get to follow up with them as well I am really looking forward to more about the Omega Team.

This novella is introducing us to the Trident Security Omega Team. They are seven of the 'Best of the Best'. In this book we get to know who they are, an insight into their backgrounds and their strengths. I'm really looking forwarded to getting to know these team members more in depth in future books.
On a training mission they are dropped by helicopter to a remote are of the Rocky Mountains and the objective is for them to work as a team to hike out of there.
While there they are notified that there is a missing hiker, Mallory Hart and the intrigue begins.
I really like that we get to Mallory's story along with the Omega team members. It just made it so 'real'. I was really scared for her.
This book doesn't have the sizzling sex in it that is so amazing in the Trident Security books but I did not miss it. I was really drawn into the suspense and the intrigue of this book. I absolutely loved it.

Wow once again Ms Cole does it again. These new guys are awesome. I can feel the love we'll have for them . The intensity and camaraderie is starting to show. Bring it on. Cannot wait for the next book.

Truly suspenseful with amazing romance. Finally, we find out who the Kink Killer is and boy I did not see that coming. With true Samantha A. Cole style, she rights another romance that makes you wish these boys of Omega Team and the rest of Trident Security Team were yours. There is definitely no way that I could choose but I must say Logan stole my heart with all he has to overcome and the fact that he feels he could never settle down because of the trauma he has been through. However, he finds his new partner Dakota irresistible and she just may be strong enough to break through his barriers and help him to deal with his PTSD. When they meet he may think she needs his help but she may be exactly what he needs. I love that all of the men take care of their women but also they are there for each other. They are a band of brothers that have created a loving family that they can depend on.

What can I say? Samantha Cole has done it again! This is an amazing novella introducing us to the members of the Omega Team of Trident Security in depth for the first time. It is truly the beginning of the Omega Team's story. It's thrilling and will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.
The seven men and women comprising the Omega Team of Trident Security are ready for their final shakedown mission to determine if they're ready to operate on their own. They've been training together with both the Alpha Team and Trident Security West for months and now they finally have their chance to prove themselves as a team. Their mission: dropping into a sparsely-populated area of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado with minimal equipment and rations. They must make it through the harsh, unforgiving terrain with a single satellite phone for use in emergencies only (broken bones don't count) and they have a limited amount of time to accomplish this mission.
The Omega Team has no sooner been dropped from their helicopter and left on their own when the first hiccup in their mission is discovered. A local hiker has gone missing with no evidence as to what happened to her. It's as if she vanished from the face of the earth. There's no trace of her anywhere. The leader of the Alpha Team, Ian "Boss-Man" Sawyer contacts the team and tells them of the hiker situation but informs them they are to still remain on mission. It's a sticky situation and the Omega Team must become the cohesive unit they've trained to be in order to succeed. Can this team work together not only to complete their mission on time but to find and rescue the missing hiker? The stakes are high and the unknown factors even higher!
During the course of the mission, you learn the backstory of each individual member of the Omega Team. If you've read the entire Trident Security series, you've met the Omega Team members before but you've never learned exactly how they were recruited for the Omega Team and what their motivations are for being a part of the elite Trident Security Company. To say that each individual character is fascinating is an understatement. Each has his or her own unique reason for being a part of this unit. They all have their demons but they're all equally dedicated to succeed. Failure is not an option for any member of the Omega Team.
This book is full of unexpected twists and turns. It held my attention from the very first word and, quite frankly, I couldn't put the book down! I stayed up all night to finish it because I had to know how the story was going to end. Samantha Cole, with her background in law enforcement and her absolute attention to detail in every aspect of every book she writes, is a superb storyteller and her work is riveting. It is very evident from the caliber of her writing that she researches whatever subject matter she might not have personal experience with until she is as conversant with that material as the experts she obviously consults. I'm an admitted bibliophile and have read just about every genre of fiction out there and I do not exaggerate when I say that Samantha Cole is one of the very best authors I have ever read.
As an aside, the entire Trident Security series (including the novellas/short stories) include a significant amount of BDSM lifestyle activities. There is a minimal amount of BDSM included in this novella but the activities of The Covenant (the very exclusive and private BDSM club co-owned by Ian, Devon and Mitch Sawyer) are part of the ongoing story brought forward from the prior books in the series. While each book in the series can be read as a standalone book, I would highly recommend that you read each book of the Trident Security series in order, including the novellas, so as not to miss any of the recurring characters and their roles in the series. And while some of you who may have read Samantha's previous books Trident series might be thinking, "Oh no, minimal BDSM? How disappointing," please don't. The BDSM elements are there and will be continued going forward in this series. This book is every bit as wonderful as the previous books in this series and I would HIGHLY recommend it.
One final note before I close. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and some adult sexual scenes. As previously indicated, the BDSM aspects of this book are limited when compared to the other books in this series. If you do not enjoy thriller/mysteries with erotic romance and sexual scenes then please carefully consider your purchase before starting this entire series. PLEASE DO NOT BUY AND/OR REVIEW THE BOOKS IN THIS SERIES IF YOU DON'T ENJOY THIS GENRE AS IT IS NOT FAIR TO THE AUTHOR! She works hard to provide a quality work product and if you know before you purchase any book that you will object to the subject matter contained in the book, you will be doing not only yourself, but the author, an extreme disservice. Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

Mountain Of Evil
Trident Security Omega Tram prequel
Samantha Cole
4 I’ve got your six stars
I have been a huge fan of the Trident Security series from that very 1st book, and so many in, there isn’t a single story, where I don’t say to myself “this woman is insane and yet fricken amazing “, just when I think she can’t get any better, tada another book comes out and I’m left with my mouth open – again!
Mountain Of Evil, is the prequel to the new omega team – still part of the amazing Trident Security company, these men and badass women were all handpicked by Ian and Devon. Each member comes with a unique story of where they’ve come from and who they are in Trident Security, one we are given a glimpse of. I’m already loving them, for their terrible pasts and incredible strength moving forward.
Being dropped in the mountains as their 1st training mission together, should have been an easy couple of days (even though, it is tough terrain and let’s face it setup by Ian – it will never be easy), but when a trek turns to a missing woman, their skills are tested trying to find a woman in freezing temperatures and no clue where to find her. Stumbling across her, and the hours that follow the team will pull together to not inly save their own lives, but the life of a young women and try to capture the kidnappers. Not turning out the way they’d hoped, not everyone will make it out alive.
Only the fittest and best can work at Trident , and these men and women will make their mark. Another great addition to the Trident Security series, Mountain Of Evil will have you laughing, cringing, gasping and wanting to finish in one session. I love bad ass men, but badass women rock! I think miss Cole should be one!

I have to start saying the cover of MOE is amazing!! it feels like the covers of Samantha are getting better and better and let's not mention the whole series of TS and now the Omega team.. MOE is an introduction book where you will get to meet all the new characters on the TS Omega team .. they are so many new hot guys and of coarse a few great ladies or should we say bad a**es .... as i was saying in MOE you can find all the new characters plus a little introduction of all of them not to mention that you may even get a glimpse of where their love lives are heading too .. MOE is a book you should definitely read even if you are already a fan of TS because like i say in this book Samantha give us a list of every single character (important character) what they do, if they are married, if they have a submissive or a Dominant, if they have kids and all the info you should know ... but wait thats not all, we get to see in MOE.. we also see more action between the sheets with Ian and Angie .. i have to admit reading about them again made me feel like i wan to re-read "his angel"... Ian is one of my favorite characters as he really transpire alpha male all over after all he is the boss and he knows how to direct orders ;) if you know what i mean .. .. we also get to see the omega team in action .. one of their "first" missions trying to find mallory, a girl who was a the wrong place, at the wrong time when three bank robbers kidnap her and promise to not only kills her but .... ok no more spoilers ... in less words read MOE you are going to be blown away with this new chapter of the TS Omega team .. i can't wait to read more .. thank you samantha for keeping us always wanting more ...

I’m always a little nervous when an author announces a spin off series from one that I already adore, with the main focus on a new cast of characters. I’m happy to say that I was thrilled with Samantha A Cole’s Mountain of Evil. I can already tell that I am going to love the Omega Team.
Almost ready to start handling cases on their own, Trident’s new Omega Team just has to make it through one final team building test . . . finding their way as a team out of the Rockies after being dropped in by helicopter with minimal supplies. What starts as a training mission quickly becomes more when they are alerted to be on the lookout for a missing hiker.
Mallory is a seasoned hiker and often takes off during the week to photograph nature in the Rockies. She’s never run into trouble until now, and realizes it will take all of her wits and survival training to make it out of the mountains alive.
With lives on the line, it’s up to the Omega Team to save the day. Will they be able to find Mallory and make it to safety before it’s too late or will this training mission end before they make it back to civilization?
This cross-over prequel has me very excited to continue the Trident Security series with the Omega Team. Samantha A Cole does a brilliant job of introducing readers to the new team and giving readers a glimpse into their personalities leaving us wanting more. As a fan of the original series, it was also a relief to know that we can expect our favorite characters from the original sexy six pack to make appearances in this spin off series as well. I can’t wait for Book One: Dead Man's Pulse! 5 stars

Drum roll please…Samantha A Cole has unveiled a new spin-off series to the Trident Security series. This totally has me excited because that means that there are more chances for hot alpha, dominant men and suspenseful stories that I’ve come to know and love. Samantha A Cole has become one of my very favorite authors and is an auto-buy for me.
This new series is about the Trident Omega team which is composed of 6 men and 1 woman. Their boss, Ian comes along as well as wife Angie, for their final training exercise in this novella. We also have Mallory Hart. She’s hiking up in the mountains and taking photos. She’s about to leave when she runs into big trouble.
The Omega team, led by Cade “Shades” Forester and Tristan “Duracell” McCabe are dropped off in the middle of the wilderness for 2 days. They have to make their way back to the extraction point with minimal supplies. But their training exercise turns into a dangerous rescue mission. Will they rescue Mallory before the bad guys hurt her?
Despite the fact this was a prequel, it was chock full of suspense, and even though we don’t get a romance out of this one, we do get some private sexy time with Ian and Angie. I loved it! And Cowboy’s (Logan) book is next. He’ll need a strong, compassionate woman to help him with his PTSD and just love him while submitting. (I’ll do it!!)
This looks to be an awesome series!

Omega Team kicks ass!!!
Samantha Cole has done it again, Mountain of Evil is a great start to the Omega team's success. The new team members will soon become as familiar and liked as the Trident team. I appreciated the recap of all the members involved and their significant others it brought back memories of other story lines. Cole is to be congratulated on keeping us enticed and enthralled with her amazing story lines. This book is a fast paced read with excitement on every page and it will keep the reader excited from beginning to end. The Omega team are on a training mission when a local teenager goes missing. Mallory's father is ex-military and her uncle is the local sheriff so they are extremely thrilled to have the extra help searching for her. The storyline is concise and clear in detailing each member of the team and I am sure that each team member will soon become reader's favorites. Ian and Angie make an appearance in this book and it was nice to see the head of boss man's care of his men and pregnant wife. The story of the search and rescue of Mallory and the capture of the bad guys will entertain you. Samantha Cole has started a new series with great style and finesse and I guarantee you won't want to miss it.

MOUNTAIN OF EVIL is the first book featuring the new Omega Team from Trident Security. While this is a new series and does stand on its own, I believe it is best if you have read the Trident Security series as well, so that you are familiar with the bosses and their ladies.
So much work, they need another team to keep up with the demand! The bosses at Trident Security have set up a test for them on a mountain in Colorado. What started as a training exercise, becomes all too real for them and a young lady who will have to rely on these five men and one brave woman for her very life!
If I had to pick one word for this story, it would be spell-bound. I was absolutely immersed. I could see, feel, hear, and smell the forest, the fatigue, and the fears. Hope and despair warred within my soul. Yes, it’s a shorter story, but so much emotion and life was packed into it, that I am reluctant to leave it behind. I am anxious to return to this team and pick up on their lives again.
Note: while I was given this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

This is a chance to get to know more about the new Trident Team members, it gives some insight into their pasts and how they ended up applying to join Trident. It doesn't centre on any one character this time it is more general team and how they are working and getting to know each other on their final training exercise. It also doesn't go smoothly, WHAT? you cant be surprised by that comment surely. We have action and some violence in this fast paced read, I enjoyed getting to know a bit more about this new group as a team and individuals. Looking forward to getting more in the future. We do get a little of Ian and his Angel which was great, I still chuckle at some of the things they say and do with each other. I was slightly worried that going forward with the new team wouldn't match up with the original, but honestly I needn't have been. I think they are going to be equally as good or maybe even better. Samantha A Cole has done a fantastic job, giving us the experience of them in a training situation that changes into a breath holding, suspenseful ride.

What an absolutely brilliant introduction to the Omega team.
You always knows you’re going to get a great book from Samantha, her writing is second to none and all of her books just develop right in front of your eyes. Little imagination is needed as it’s all there for you to read and Mountain of Evil is no exception.
This book might be a novella and an intro to the Omega guys but this is one action packed roller coaster of a book. Man, my heart pounded throughout it. I was gripped from the start and have already picked out a few (if not all) of the team members who I cannot wait to read about.
Each team member individually brings something to the table and I can just tell that Samantha is going to give us some outstanding tales from these guys! This book will 100% leave you desperate for more of the Omega team. Hopefully Val’s book will be the first haha but either way, I’m counting down the days until I get my hands on more.
Highly recommend this book and any of the Trident Security books! You’ll love them and that’s a promise!

Now this is how a series should start! The author has given readers a prequel story that gives you the backstory to the main characters of the series, as well as, giving you a story or glimpse of the type of stories that will follow as the series unfolds.
Mountain of Evil is about the new members of Omega Team, a hand picked group of men and women that will make up the new branch of Trident Security. Of course we also get to catch up with the sexy men of Trident Security and BDSM Club, The Covenant, who will be making occasional appearances in this series as well (or so it would seem)!
During this prequel the new team gets dropped onto a mountainside for a training exercise. What they didn't expect was for it to turn into an actual mission in which they are on the clock to find a missing woman and what a suspenseful ride it is. 2 Thumbs Up for a great prequel; one that has all the markings of leading into another awesome Samantha Cole series! Personally, I can't wait.

I didn't know what to expect with this book. It is a prequel to a spin off of the Trident Security series. This book is not one with a HEA but it is a background book.
I loved it. While we have seen each of the the characters in other books we didn't have a good sense of who they were until now. Mountain of Evil takes each characters and gives a brief look into where they are coming from, gives us some of the most pressing issues, and shows us where we are likely to go. Samantha did such a good job of giving us this sneak peak that will keep us coming back for more.
There may have been no HEA but there was plenty of other things that Samantha is known for and she did a great job. Samantha has quickly risen to be one of my favorite authors and one I definitely one-click when she has something new.

OMG!!! Where to start!! Samantha has a way of just hooking you from the first page and reeling you into her story. Set in the Colorado mountains, we get to meet team members of the new Omega Team that is part of Trident Security. They are suppose to be just training but it turns into a real mission when they are asked to help find a lost hiker. Little do they know the will face down some really bad guys to save the woman they are trying to find. I love the fact that we get to see some of the original members of Samantha's Trident Security series and their wives. Loved the book and I can't wait for more stories in this series!! Samantha has become one of my very favorite authors!!! Get this book, you won't regret it!!!

Samantha A Cole brings us another great group of characters with the Trident Security Omega team. New men and women, previously briefly introduced within the Trident Security books we already love, are given their final test to prove they are ready to work as a team before they are released on their own missions helping keep the world safe. A glimpse into Ian and Angie's current life is given to help ease us into this new world filled with Secret Service, FBI and former military special forces. This is going to be another deadly group running missions against the worlds worst while proving they are human too as they find the loves of their lives and become part of the Trident family. Cant wait for more to come.

Ian & Devon Sawyer have built Trident Security into a first class PI and military agency. Business is so good they are
having to add a second team.
In MOE, a prequel to the Omega Team series, we get a concise, well thought out book. I already feel as if I know the new players and I have to say I’m loving these new characters.
This was a great introduction to the new series with good flow and characters I think everyone will come to love.
Set down in the Rockies, the team has two days to make it to their extraction point and prove they are ready to be on their own. While they work together to accomplish this goal they are tasked with keeping an eye out for a missing hiker.

This is another great Samantha A. Cole book -- fast-paced, thrilling, sexy and full of fantastic characters. I enjoyed meeting a bunch of new characters in the Trident universe and hope to read about all of them in the future.
The story is the ultimate case of "in the right place, at the right time". While out on a survival mission, our sexy, resourceful heroes work together to save the day by tracking down a missing local hiker and bring to justice the crazy bad guys.
I cannot wait to read more about these brave characters. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and enjoyed every single moment. You need to add this to your TBR pile.

What a start to a new team! On a final routine training mission, set to get to know their teammates better & encourage trust, everything takes a turn. A hiker has been reported missing. She's no ordinary hiker. Her father & uncle have given her self defense training. What follows is a riveting tale of courage & bravery. Ms. Cole has managed once again to pull me into a story so deep that when I surface, the book is finished & I'm way past my bedtime! I can't wait for the next story!

I loved this book so much!!!
I'm never disappointed reading a book from this author. I can tell, this will be a great series. The introduction of the new team, plus getting updates from the Trident team were great. The story was suspenseful and had me on the edge of my seat. I love how the team works so well together. I would recommend that you pick up this book as soon as possible. Can't wait to read what is next.

A Must Read!
Samantha A. Cole's latest gives you a peek into the minds of those hot and sexy members of the Trident Security Omega team. The reader gets a vivid picture of what makes these fascinating people tick. Not to mention the playfulness of two original Trident characters with a twist of action packed rescue. Welcome to the world of Trident Omega. This prequel will make you anxious for more. As always, Ms. COLE does not disappoint!

Ms. Cole's sensational novella introducing us to the Omega team of Trident Security, the uber elite. Off on a training missing in the rugged mtns, they are dropped into a S&R for a missing hiker, which ends up being a hostage rescue/hiker mission. Mallory, the hiker, stumbled into trouble unaware on her way out of the woods-will Omega Team be her salvation??? Loved it! I received an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing the story.
