Great book if you love chipmunks. And I do!
There's this: "The 1977 season saw Launcelot, Willoughby, and Rinaldo completely displace Fenwick's remaining authority, sentencing him to live out his life as a roving adventurer, which he did elegantly. Gutrune's death in July was followed by the systematic looting of her burrow by two of her recently dispersed youngsters, Pilfer and Pillage."
But there is also thorough and intensely knowledgeable info on all aspects of the Eastern Chipmunk.

Such an informative and charming book. I feel as though all the chipmunks are quirky and delightful old friends, yet I also learned loads about their habits. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to learn more about these intriguing little creatures.

The writing is really lovely. The way the author mixes his personal feeling about chipmunks with objective observations makes the reading fun and informative. You can tell this guy really loves chipmunks.
