Now let me just say ah-freaking-mazing!!!! Kudos on your first novel!! There was a book series I read many years ago. It was a book about a woman with a mental complex and once the series ended I was looking for more but this author never wrote anymore books and others didn’t hold my attention. If you keep writing like this you definitely have a loyal reader in me! This book was well written and flowed nicely! You have an amazing team in Nako Expo and I hope all of your goals are exceeded abundantly!!!! Rooting for you!
This book was very good, I loved all the characters. The sisterhood between the girls was amazing and the loved one another! No one had envy or jealousy. They all held their own and had real life issues women goes through! This book was everything, its hard to believe this was ur first book! But trust me this was a must read! It brought out all types of emotions I truly give this 5⭐⭐⭐⭐
Danielle Carleon just wrote her first masterpiece! This beautiful story displayed sisterhhod at its best! She definitely pulled out all emotions and captivated me! I'll be patiently waiting to see what she drops next!
Wait that ending tho!!! Is tori still alive? I need a part two or something. Not that this story needs it but because I loved these characters. If this was this author’s first, I definitely could not tell! I was in from Page 1!!!! This book evoked my emotions nap whole mother level.. This is a must read of 2018
This book was everything I love this book from beginning to the end. I just love the blossoming friendship that the girls had in the Loyalty that they have to each other. My heart broke for what happened to Tori.I would love three more from this author great job.
For this to be the author's first book, I have to give credit where credit was due. The book was good and also lengthy. So many debuts are too short and end up having multiple parts. Kudos to Danielle.
I would have loved to give this a 5 however there were a few things I wanted to point out. The transitioning in the story sometimes caused confusion. Not the flashbacks, but the points in the future where the characters would suddenly start talking about the past. Also, the chapter where were introduced to Tori's family was a bit much. I feel like so much was going on. We met all these people and although some came back up, they were irrelevant to me.
But even with that said, I'd recommend the book. Thought it was really good! & I'd read again. I loved Asla! She was my favorite & Travis was bae.
For a debut novel, it was entertaining. The women had a lot in common and their friendship was genuine. Tori was my favorite, the one you underestimated. She was loyal to a fault. Bailey, Victoria man those secrets. Secrets were abundant in this book. Family secrets turned deadly. Layah and Lani were funny. Asla was....Asla. I didn't connect with her as I did with the other girls for some reason, but I'm glad she got out. Definitely had some teary moments at the end, didn't see that coming but I wasn't surprised. The dialogue, at times was kind of confusing, trying to see who said what. Separation of some flash backs within the dialogue could have been separated better but I got the gist of it. A good debut novel indeed
This book was so well written. You could not tell this was the author's first book. At first I was wondering where this story was going but when the women linked up it was on and poppin. What I love about this book was the sisterhood. These women knew each other for months and a grew a bond that some don't build in years all those different personalities meshed well together. Those rich professional women had problems!!! Lol I would not take anything away from this story everything was done to perfection not giving the story away but I didn't feel bad for Tori she accepted the consequences to the life she lived. Honey you did such a great Job I want to live in the middle building. Looking forward to your next releasef
Excellent read. I fell in love with the characters in this book, even most of the rough necks? Four friends living in the same expensive building form a tight friendship. The reader gets to delve into each woman’s juicy storey and uncover interesting secrets. One of the women is from a well known, no nonsense crime family. 3 of the women were victim’s of some type of abuse. This book was a hidden gem that was selected by one of my book clubs. We are also introduced to the main character’s relatives and friends; To keep the characters straight in my head, I had to create a character map. I recommend this book.
The storyline and the four main characters is what saved this book from receiving two or three stars from me.
I loved all four ladies, from their personalities to their lifestyles. All were believable. I laughed, I cried, and in my mind I'm Layah lol. And I believe Layah could be a few trainings away from being another Tori lol.
What I didn't like was the flow of the story and the character development. I believe the story needs to be tweaked, and the constant additions of characters with little to no development made the story difficult to follow.
This was a really good book but had a lot of errors. Although the errors didn’t take away from the story they were everywhere and it made me almost stop reading. These group of friends were everything! My fav was Asla lol she was the “mom friend” of the bunch and that’s me all the way. I had a lot of favorite moments in the book but their friendship was the best. I definitely didn’t see the ending coming but I’m not surprised Karma comes unexpectedly and hit you hard. Like I said this was a really good book but the errors were horrible I’ll still recommend and hope the author fix the errors
I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Very well written. I love how you touched on the lives of four women of different ages, who have experienced different childhoods, live in the same building and form a bond the moment they get to know one another. There were moments of happiness, sadness, anger and shocking revelations, but through it all, Asla, Bailey, Leyah and Tori are there for each other. Congratulations Danielle on your first book and I definitely look forward to reading more of your work.
This book was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥I could not put it down! I felt like I was reading a story about me wrapped all in one. I could relate to each women. Hate, hate, hate my girl Tori passed
I could not put it down! I felt like I was reading a story about me wrapped all in one. I could relate to each women. Hate, hate, hate what happend to Tori! Victoria she was a BEAST!!! My only wish would be for Tori ...but overall I will most def be on the look out for more books from this author and rereading this one! Omg just straight fire!🔥🔥🔥🔥
This book was definitely one of the best books I have read. It had everything in it, Love, drama, laughter, sadness. Pretty much experienced every emotion. The way these four ladies came together and helped each other out in so many ways was great. They all had their issues and secrets but they worked through them together. Even their significant others were there for each other. I think it was well written and the characters were very relatable. Kudos to you and I’m looking forward to reading more by you.
This book was EVERYTHING!!!! You would never know that this was the authors debut novel from reading. This books has everything, I mean everything into. Sex, Drugs, Murder, Abuse, Mental Illness, Incest, you name it, it’s in there. Along with all that, it also has Love, Family, and Friendship. This book was so tastefully written that it has me begging for more. This author is going places and I am along for the ride.
Gurlll i Read this book on KU but it’s so good imma go back and buy it!!! I loved this book!!!! It had me mad laughing and crying! I feel as though I was in this book! Some women just don’t know what a good positive circle will do for you! Everyone needs a group of friends like this in their life! I would def recommend this book to anyone!! It was BOMB! I can’t wait to read more of your work!!
When I first started with the book there were a lot of characters being introduced and I felt overwhelmed so I had stopped reading for a little while but after I made it passed that the book really took off and was great read.
Bailey, Layah, Tori, & Asla those ladies stories were chilling. From dealing with traumatic experiences to having to put on this “face for the world” showing I can conquer anything.
For this to be this author debut...she came with that fire.🔥 These four women that where connect first by a build but by the end by life was a amazing. Each one with their own life battles. And the men who love them through it. Tori the protector, Asla mama hen, Bailey / Victoria you never know, and Layah TTG All survivors in their own right. I really enjoyed this read.
At first I was confused about what was going on. Everyone was together I couldn't tell we who was who. Once I got to the second half I was all in. I knew everybody. I even knew the extra personalities. Know who your friends are. If you can't love them for who they are and the issues they have, don't waste their time. Lifetime friends like these are hard to find.
This book was... A LOT. Goodness. Really action packed, funny, thoughtful. But a lot. A lot of childhood trauma, current trauma, and drama. Also a lot of words. Lots and lots of words that I sometimes had to read a few times to figure out what was going on and who was saying what. There needed to be a lot more clarity on the dialogue. Overall enjoyable book. Will definitely read another book by this author.
Freaking awesome experience reading this book I got pissed, I laughed, I laughed harder and then I cried and laughed so more the relationship between these women had formed in a short period of time but their love for each other grew so much faster so far this year this was the best book I've read I loved it! Can't wait to see what other books this author has she has a brand new fan!
I thoroughly enjoyed this tale of chance and friendship. I was hooked from the synopsis. The four ladies found each other and had a relationship most women pray for. The men in their lives complimented each woman perfectly. Great First book, looking forward to your next book!
This was an ok read the some parts could of flowed better but I understood what wasn't said. The story line was impeccable , though slowly started not extremely slow, took a while to remember characters. It grabbed my attention once the chaos sstarted. Highly recomemended if your looking for a more than local drug dealers meets ratchet yayadada 🙊🙊👊✌.
This is a certified 5 star read. This new author left nothing on the table with her first release. The story of women from different walks of life captivates you and makes you feel like you’re watching a weekly sitcom vs. reading. Great job! Looking forward to more reads by this author!
This book took me by surprise. In the beginning I didn’t really understand where it was going but, once I did I couldn’t put it down. All the girls were amazing like I could feel them through the story. Wish it was longer because I don’t want to stop reading about them Truly a great book
Although this book was somewhat lengthy and confusing at times, I really enjoyed it. It was amazing how these four women came together and became such clean se friends. There were moments of tears and laughter throughout the book. I would love to read more about G and the relationship with his son.
I’m at a loss for words. This book had me so taken I couldn’t decide where to go with my feelings. These women and their stories are so intriguing, strong, scary, and funny. I was not expecting the direction this story took and that is the sign of a good writer and a well written story.
