Everything North Campbell believes about her life is a lie. She doesn’t discover that until the night her father dies, when she learns he wasn’t her father, and that she’s a Trueblood, with all the magic of the Mythic races, if she can unlock it. Fleeing from her birth parents, and their nefarious allies, she travels with her six guards to Fire & Ice, a realm split by war and magic. Two of her potential loves live there, but on opposite sides of the issues. As she starts to think about keeping all six, while learning fire and water magic, she ends up an inadvertent matchmaker for a relationship even more taboo than her own. Things are changing in the realm, but will it bring unity, or completely destroy any chance for peace? And will North have the courage to seize what—who—she wants without fearing the consequences?
This is the second in a multi-book series that requires reading in order to understand the plot arc. “Fire & Ice” has an incomplete ending. The story will continue in the next book and so on. It is a PNR reverse harem story, and the heat factor is high.
Aurelia Skye is the pen name Kit Tunstall uses when writing science fiction romance. It’s simply a way to separate the myriad types of stories she writes so readers know what to expect with each “author.”
I like it but not as much as I want to..... This second part is sooo much better than the first, for me it still feel a bit rush and forced at times ... I want North and her men to work our because I love me a good PNR RH but the chemistry feels right at times and forced at others, supposedly weeks pass while they are in the “Fire & Ice “ kingdoms but they don’t feel like they’ve grown together in getting closer..... If you made it through the first book I’d definitely suggest reading this one especially I’d you have KU as well but while things are better all around per say, the growth doesn’t really feel like it fits for a group who have been together at least a month not.... Honestly I don’t feel like I know anyone any better, Kriss and Marek are from here but not interesting backstories were given and the only reason the seem to dislike each other was of their seemingly opposing elements and kingdoms ... I feel like I’ve read something and nothing all at the same time.. I want to like it but for me I need more .... More depth and more time... still feels rushed... But I am curious Soo I’ll probably be back... I just wish
This is the second book in this "series". I strongly suggest that you read book one(Birthright) first since it sets up the back-story needed to understand this book. While I don't want to give away any "spoilers", I will say that this story deals a lot with compromise, sharing and going for what you want.North may have a HFN at the end of this story but I'm sure not everyone will be happy or everything easy. With at least four more "planes" to visit, there are sure to be more learning and more obstacles for North and her six "guards".
*I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
North has informed the council that she will marry all six men, and she is finishing up her visits to each of the dimensions. Before North and her men can return to Earth, she is captured and kidnapped by the evil scientist/dragon shifter that wants to use North and her powers to rule all of the dimensions. Wow! Exciting, action packed plot with sexy and unique characters that will have to fight for their lives and their happily ever after. I loved this fantastic series!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and nonincentivized review of this ARC.
