The Zoran’s Touch is book five in the Barbarian Brides series, but can be read as a standalone. It’s an instalust, fated mates romance featuring a curvy human woman and the arrogant alien warrior with a dark secret who can’t resist her. Happily-Ever-After guaranteed!
"We're stuck on this rock. It's just you and me now."
Miah Dorsey spends her days slaving away for the Onyx Corporation. She’s trying to put her sister through college, and to do that, she desperately needs a promotion. Instead, she’s transferred to a desolate, ice-covered planet. Her day goes from bad to worse when her transport ship is attacked and crashes on an alien planet. The only other survivor? An arrogant, imposing, emerald-green alien warrior.
Beast is an extremely dangerous Zoran alpha warrior. The only thing he hates more than humans is humans who work for Onyx. Until he meets Miah. Never before has he met a human like her. Her shapely curves drive him mad with lust, and her defiant attitude humours the growly warrior.
Stranded on an alien planet, the two enemies have to rely on each other to survive.
Having read all of the Zoran books that Luna Hunter has written, I was excited to find out that she was releasing another. However, even though I had read all of them I was a little lost and confused so I figured that somehow I has missed one along the way. After researching it I discovered that I hadn't missed any Zoran books. That threw me a little bit and is the reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. I realize this is a stand alone book and it doesn't really matter if you know the previous Zorans, but I still would like to find out what happened between the last Zoran book and this new one (how much time has passed anyway?) Other than that this is another great read by Ms. Hunter. There is always great chemistry between these 7 foot tall warriors and the curvy strong women and this book is no different. I'm looking forward to the next one and possibly a prequel to give us a little more insight on what has happened between the last book and this one.
Totally enjoyable story with Miah an employee of Onyx being sent to a remote outpost as Chief Operating Officer when she thought she would be offered the Vice Present job instead. A real shock for her as being sent away was not on her agenda but she has no choice but to take the position as she has been caring for her younger sister Abby for years since her parents died. Her day has not improved as they did not really give her a chance to say goodbye to her sister and being put on this rust bucket of shuttle with two federation soldiers transporting a Zoran just caps it off. Oh and look now we are under attack from an unknown ship and about to crash. Miah wakes up in time to save the Zoran from being shot by one of the surviving soldiers and now there is just the two of them on a planet that has so many dangers it will be a wonder if they will survive to reach a research probe to send a distress signal. To add to Miah troubles she can't seem to stop fantasising about the big green alien who has such an impressive body and seems equally attracted to her. A big thank you to Luna Hunter for the entertaining review copy.
I really enjoyed this book from start to finish in saying that, read the whole series just to keep tract of who’s who. Egon and Miah are stranded on planet after the ship went down and everyone else died so they must work together to survive, Miah works for Onxy an energy company that drills on every planet and takes its resources and doesn’t care about anyone or anything in there way so Miah is hoping that there is a beacon on this planet that she can use to call for help. Egon is a zoran warrior and is called the beast by humans because he killed heaps of humans in a rampage but not all is as it seems and onxy is right in the middle of it all. Miah and Egon get to know each other pretty well and the hot chemistry sizzles between and they soon fall in love, but because of there past and the company Miah works for and not trusting each other how can they move forward. Can they find love and doesn’t it all work out in the end grab this book to find out I loved it. I voluntarily reviewed an arc copy of this book for an honest review.
I like the new story line. This story takes us to Earth where Miah works for a company named Onyx. She thinks she is getting a promotion to vice president but instead is being sent to a frozen mining planet as COO. She goes ahead and gets on the transport that is leaving that very afternoon. She has to help her younger sister who works in a factory, earn enough money to go to art school because she is so talented. Beast/Egon was one of four Zoran who attacked and killed people on a space station called Pazar. He is also on the transport. He is strapped down and enroute to a prison planet that is dark and cold. One of the Federation officers that is transporting Beast causes the transport ship to crash on a uninhabited planet. Beast and Miah must work together to survive until they can figure out how to get off the planet. There is an inside story that gets revealed towards the end of the book. I am looking forward to more of this "rebellion" involving previous Zorans and the saving of more Zorans. Recommended!
It amazes me how much has happened since the first story with Zoran warriors
This is a rich and interesting universe, with over 50 years covered in the stories so far. From the collapse of a system of government, to the rise of the Generals, through not only the Zorans building a relationship with Humans, but Humans urging the Zorans to reach out as peaceful allies to other species, it is amazing how much has happened in these stories.
So many of the Humans in previous stories have been power players, or part of the power structure, so the previous story and this one turning their focus to more ordinary individuals who were easy to relate to was nice. As for the Zoran in this story, I almost feel like naming him would be a spoiler. I enjoyed his complexity, how getting to know him led to questions, and how we experienced getting to know him, so when it came time to answer the question "what kind of a person is he?" It felt easy to answer from experience not assumption, or because of what we had been told.
I suppose I don't understand why someone would work hours and hours away from the one they love. But I do understand Miah wanting to send her sister to art school, but if she never gets to see her because of trying to work to impress, she will miss lots of her sister's life that she can never get back. And then for her to be passed over for promotion to "Jimbo", that took the cake. So, for me, the crash landing was a chance for her to reset her priorities. Sure--she had to deal with the "Beast of Pazar", but there are far worse beasts out there than someone as kind as Egon. I'm glad that everything worked out between them, and the truth came out. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, and I borrowed it through the Kindle Unlimited program too.
Each of Ms. Hunter's book pulls you into the Zoran's fight for life after being rejected by Earth and no one more so than the "The Beast" who has been blamed for the slaughter of millions of earthlings and aliens alike! When Miah and "The Beast" escape a perilous death they discover their lives depend on one another and even though their hatred for one another is palpable their chemistry is undeniable and unquenchable. Each page is a journey for their life and the lives of planets and the inescapable love that they struggle against becomes the catalyst for survival. Ms. Hunter pens an exciting and exceptional story that has you breathing hard for a myriad of reasons! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader of this book.
It took me a while to figure out where I was in the series – that was just for me – but The Zoran’s Touch does work as a standalone; I just like knowing and remembering characters’ back stories. The book is about Miah, an over-worked bureaucrat and Egon (nicknamed The Beast by humans) and their trip to save themselves and the world. I felt badly for both Miah and Egon as they both had to work through events in their pasts in order to understand their present and future. It is a hawt story in spots (!), enjoyable, and we find out a bit more of what is going on in the universe. I freely read and reviewed this story.
ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! Miah was on the way to a new job. new planet. Egon, the beast, was on the way to prison in Blackgate. Their ship is attacked on the way, and they crash. Now The Beast + Miah will have to work together in order to survive. Will they escape this uninhabited planed ? Will they be able to unmask the evil corporation "Onyx"? As for these 2, Love always find a way. Loved the storytelling + the characters!
Miah works for the Onyx corporation. She us trying to put her sister through college but her plans go haywire. Beast is an zoran alpha warrior being sent to prison for a crime he didn't do. He hates the onyx corporation and the people that work for them. After all they set him and his people up. Now they have crashed on an ice covered planet and they only have each other to survive. Will they make it? Loved it. Lots of adventure, great chemistry with the characters. Zoran fans should really like this one. Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly enjoyed it.
This one needed some more editing but mostly it ran up against a problem most of this series has regarding... well pacing isn't quite the right word. The men can get a little cut and paste, but she has great cores to her stories and they start out strong and then something doesn't happen. I think it's partially a denouement issue? idk also lack of communication and expecting mind reading when it's not explicitly part of your scifi sex partner's arsenal is annoying.
I received a ARC in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this story. It was a short one, but it was good. I think it needed some more editing for the grammatical errors. It starts out at a fast pace that kept me interested and ends with a HEA. I really liked the character Miah. She ended up a pretty brave person.
Fifth book in this series and it was a page turner I had to know what would happen next. The suspense, drama and a Zoran who is not as he has been portrayed to the humans. This is Miah Dorsey who works for the evil Onyx Corporation and Beast's ( Egon )story. I received an ARC copy and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
Another amazing "Zoran" story to add to the series. Just when you think they've settled on Earth, the chaos has begun to destroy any hope of peaceful alliance. Who and Why are the ultimate questions? I voluntarily received a complimentary copy for an honest review.
A story full of conflict, and surprises with awesome characters. If you love reading about aliens romance this is the series for you? You will not be disappointed in any way and keep them coming.
Very good story with loads of action and adventure. Egon and Miah were a wonderful couple who finally got their happy ever after. I really enjoyed reading this book.
Miah is a nose to the grindstone character and yet her company sends her off to an icy wasteland except her ship crashes and she meets Beast. The two struggle to survive together and to reign in their attraction for each other.
There were a few things about the book and characters that I didn't like, however I overall enjoyed the book. It was fun and fast paced, and kept me entertained. I was gifted a copy
Enjoyed this book. Have all the Zorn's books. Found it a little confusing, but got it with the past characters. Loved the story, hope the next one is out soon.
Title: The Zoran's Touch Series: Barbarian Brides #5 Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: Luna Hunter Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Serial: Standalone, No Cliffhanger Genre: #SciFi #Aliens #ZoranBrides #5Stars🌟⭐🌟🌟🌟 •••••••••••••• I just love the Zoran's, the way Ms. Luna writes Zoran's adventure is magnificent. It has you on the edge of your seat from the first page, to the last page. It is a Must Read. ⚡Miah Dorsey is human working for the Onyx Corporation. She want to put Abby her sister through college. Things just seem to go haywire from the beginning first her promotion turn into her boarding Allure the ship heading for the ice planet Iyviz VI, so I can be a supervisor on a mining operation. Than second the Allure is attacked and crashes on an unknown planet. Miah is the only survivor with "The Beast" just his names is enough for you to fear him running and screaming, let alone he's a Seven Ft, Purple Eyed, Emerald-Green Alien. Miah is a city girl she's going to die on this planet she doesn't know how to survive. Can she trust him? ⚡Egon is a Zoran Warrior - The Beast - The Butcher of Pazar - The Monster - Part of Exon Four. Onyx Corporation did this to him, they said he was a monster, he'd show them a monster stupid humans didn't know what crazy was. Than she saved me, or he'd be dead now. She was appealing but human... She was special but human.... She human and his mate. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
