This book puts the Australian way of life under a forensic lens, vigorously examining the socio-political underpinnings of the Australian character. 100 unmistakably Australia things (in no particular order), from the lovable to the naff, this book is chock-a-block with entertaining and fascinating facts about the things we all know, love or love to hate.
Equally informative and HILARIOUS. If you like Australia, or if you're interested in knowing about its culture you can not go wrong by picking up this book.
Very well written, interesting and light-hearted. Informative and educational in a thoroughly non-preachy way. A great gift for non-Australians, fun to pick up intermittently and read aloud, and a great read for Aussie’s too x
I asked God for a more relatable read about Australia than Paul Hogan and He gave me Bunny Banyai. Witty, eloquent and incisively exact in her choice of words, Bunny Banyai is the kind of writer I aspire to be. "100 Aussie Things We Know and Love" captures the essence of Oz in a way that has made both me AND my mother cackle with laughter. And I'll have you know that my mother does not cackle! Seriously though, I wish I had written these texts.
