Construction is easy. Nail here. Saw there. There is nothing easy when it comes to raising a 4 years old daughter though. The love of my life and the one woman that I could spend a Friday night with and not get tired of her. The construction company has taken off, financially, over the past couple of years and made money accessible enough to give my daughter the life that she deserves. I don’t have time for a woman in my life right now other than Ollie, she is all I could ever need. Things changed when my best friend’s father passes away. I wouldn’t miss being there for him for any amount of money. My world has been turned upside down when I run into my best friend’s sister, Lauren. Lauren has grown up in, so many ways and her intelligence is matched by her beauty. I thought that I would spend my life being a single father, but now I can see that I want, no, I need someone like her in my life. The only problem I could have is the question of Ollie feeling the same way about Lauren as I do. I will make sure that both of the women in my life are happy and understand that they are loved.

What a great story. Gage is a hot contractor that has made his millions both in his hometown and overseas and he decides it’s time to keep closer to his home and raise his daughter full time. His best friend Noah calls and has a favor to ask of him that he can’t refuse. Take his little sister Lauren out and get her to tell him what’s been going on in her life that has her so upset. She won’t tell Noah and he is worried about her. Gage is happy to oblige but one problem, Noah has forbid him from making a move on Lauren. Gage doesn’t seem too concerned about that as Lauren was always tagging along with him and Noah as boys and she was like a little sister to him too. Trouble is, Lauren is not so little anymore, she is a grown woman that is an attorney in Chicago and quite capable of taking care of herself contraire to her brother’s belief. When Lauren comes back home then her and Gage do go out and the crush she has had on him all these years grows to full on lust and Gage sees what a beautiful woman she is and the two throw Noah’s wishes to the wind. I received an early copy of this book to read and review and give my honest opinion. This book has so many levels to it. You will want to keep turning the page to see what happens next. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it. Gage is a headstrong character and he has many things going on in his life. Lauren is also headstrong and determined not to be made a fool of. Noah is just off the charts LOL. There are good supporting characters and lots of back and forth between these two with lots of hotness thrown in there. Another hit for Weston Parker for sure.

Hot Stuff. What a great story! I enjoyed this book! It was a sweet romance story. Gage was this millionaire with everything going for him. He had a daughter he at first didn't want to care for until his life flashed before his eyes in an airplane crash that woke him up and he realizes how much she needs him as well as he needs her. He decides to get involved with his best friend's sister and they decide to keep it a secret. Bad idea. When Lauren's brother find out things have gone too far, sparks fly. This is a good read! *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***

Lauren and Gage, I absolutely loved them! I kept hoping the lies and secrets would be brought to light and things worked through. I absolutely couldn't not love Ollie and her sweet little self. Everything about this book drew me into it and I'm so glad to have had the chance to read!!!

This is my first novel by this author and boy is it a doozy! It is the ultimate romance, filled with angst, trials and tribulations and of course the happily-ever-after.
Gage has known Lauren virtually her entire life and she has had a crush on him since she can remember. The only hindrance to them having a relationship is Noah, her older brother and Gage's best friend. Noah has told Gage repeatedly that Lauren is out of bounds, but they are unable to deny the attraction between them when they get together after the reading of her father's will. The irony of the situation is that Noah asked Gabe to meet with her to find out what is going on in her life. After they act on their feelings they have a disagreement over when to tell Noah, eventually deciding to wait. I heartily recommend this book to anybody looking for a great storyline with a difference.

I'm on the fence between a 3.5 and a 4 rating for this story. It was a good story overall, but it had a few pitfalls that were distracting. The title is long and the synopsis gives us a great insight into Gage and how the story will go. The story is told in both Gage and Lauren's point of views, which is nice for a well rounded understanding. My problem was that there were several spots where the story lagged and I actually wanted to put it down for a while (which is not good for a story that is approximately 140 pages). There was a lot of sex, I'm not complaining, but after a while it was repetitive and felt over done. Also a pet peeve of mine is that the epilogue was chapters long. Towards the end we jumped a few months, then all of a sudden the epilogue label is thrown out there and then we get a lot more story...it was weird. I liked the HEA ending, but it was a little too perfect of a bow.

A Love That Was Destined To Be:
By Korkoi -

Gage was a wealthy single dad, who had an agreement with his best friend Noah, that Lauren (Noah’s younger sister) was off limits. He was supposed to adhere to the bro code. Lauren on the other hand has had a crush on Gage since she was a teenager, but she has never acted on it because of her overprotective brother Noah. However, when these two meet as adults, all bets are off and they embark on a secret tryst. The author did a wonderful job ensuring the story was really interesting, by including the ups and downs they had to endure, as well as the naysayers they encountered, on their journey to getting their happy ending. This is a really great story that captures your attention right from the first word and keeps you engrossed until the final word. I will definitely recommend you get this book to read.

I enjoyed this book. I liked that while it followed the brother's best friend trope, it was still a little different. I liked that there wasn't much external drama to the relationship, and that the couple - with just the right amount of conflict - found a way to work through their issues. I liked that we got to see Gage's struggle to be a good parent. Many books pretend it's so easy. I also enjoyed the dual POV.

I only wish that we got a little closure on Gage's business dealings, but this book is a very good read. It kept me riveted from the opening scene. I recommend it.

Can You Say HHHHOT!

Oh my, this was one hot read! This mesmerizing storyline had me hooked immediately. I fell in love with the characters Lauren and Gage and was hoping for their HEA. What they encounter is a steamy chemistry and lots of obstacles to finding their HEA from Lauren’s brother Noah, who is also Gage’s BFF blocking their getting together to Gage’s daughter Olivia putting her foot down to their relationship. Then here’s Lauren’s boss, Gage’s staff problems and well a surprise or two to get in the way. I thought the epilogue was a tad too long and involved, but it wasn’t enough for me to mark this book to lesss than a 5 star rating!

I wasn't that into this book. I so far have loved all of Weston Parker's books but this one just didn't do it for me. It took me a long while to get into the book, the story was okay. I thought Gage was a little bit all over the place, sometimes he was a strong dominate type of man and then other times I felt like he was too much of a pushover. And Lauren, she did a lot of things I didn't like. She was too scared for certain things in the book and she claimed to really be into Gage but then she allowed him to believe certain things so she could have more time to think things through, that's not right. So I had a real problem with parts of this story.

Love lasting through the ages!

Heartaches to heart mends by the bucket loads along with an oh so sexy, drama laced hook line and sinker storyline is what you will get with Weston Parker's latest book.
These larger than life, maddening characters quickly became favorites I had to see through to the very end.
The twists and crazy turns kept me swiping those pages wanting to see what could possibly happen next!
Every book I have read by this author is so unique and I swear keeps getting better and better!
I highly suggest checking out this latest romance twist!

Heartbreaking and Hot

This story stomped on my heart many times. I don’t know how Kendal and Dana had so many bad things happen to them and still make it to their HEA. They really were good for each other once they stopped over thinking every little thing.

The descriptor for this story is not correct. It is not about a bad billionaire single father in a small town. Not sure what happened there. It is about a college professor and a nursing student who are thrown together by unusual circumstances. Worth the read though.

Good

It was good. A little over the top in many aspects though. The epilogue was WAY too long. The Edna character at the end seemed off and didn't quite fit in my mind. The story was a bit long-winded at times and it seemed that there were a lot of moments of fluff to extend the story that were unnecessary. Overall I like the main characters. I especially liked Gage as he seemed great from the beginning. Lauren took longer to take a liking to, but I did finally like her evolution as a character.

Brother's Best Friend to More

Lauren really doesn't have luck with men. Gage has a lot on his hands with his daughter, Ollie, and his brush with death. Enter Noah, her favorite brother and his best friend, and you have a recipe for drama! Overall I loved this story but was frustrated with Lauren when she wasn't as open as she should have been. This story was very moving, wonderfully written, and so steamy. This was a couldn't put down read!

Ollie steals the show!

Ollie steals the show in this novel for sure! Gage is a single father that lust after his best friends little sister, especially since she is all grown up.
Lauren is a little annoying at times with how she always pushed Gage away. He puts up with alot to cater to her. Not going to lie I wouldn't have.
The chemistry is explosive and hotttt with each scene steaming up the pages.
I really want Noah's story now!

Hot Stuff

This was about two people who were childhood friends. She had a huge crush on him. He was her older brother's best friend. She had gotten involved with the wrong types of men and her brother was not happy. The last time he asked his friend to find out just what was going on. Let's just say things get a bit more complicated than big brother expected. Can the budding relationship survive? Will they be able to trust the other when everything comes out?

Loved

I really loved this book! I enjoyed both characters. Both Gage and Lauren were likeable and relatable and I could relate to both of their points in their relationship. They had some ups and downs and definitely some trouble communicating but reading their journey was worth it!

Like everyone else I loved Gage, but Lauren got on my nerves with a capital ‘N’! That man is a saint to put up with the likes of her. Her character frustrated the heck out of me and there were several times I almost put the book aside because of it. As always the sex is scorching and there’s just something about a hot tattooed male author that merits stars ‘just for being’! 😏

Gage and Lauren

Gage has a daughter who is being raised by her grandmother named Olivia. Gage is nearly killed in a plane crash which opens his eyes. Grandma Edna is retired and is ready to enjoy her retirement. She doesn't want to spend the rest of her life raising a four year old. Gage realizes that Olivia already lost her mother and maybe he should step up and do his part. Gage's best friend is Noah. Noah has a younger sister named Lauren who is off limits. Gage takes Lauren out one night at Noah's request to learn info. They end up in bed. Now how do they tell Noah as they have feelings for each other. Very hot!! Enjoyed the storyline a lot.

DO NOT RECOMMEND

DNF @39%. I’m certain I’ve read this author before but I can’t find any reviews which is telling. I thought it was neat to read a romance written by a man but I was seriously, extremely mistaken. This is nothing more than a Lustmance and the writing is bad. It’s corny, cliche, missing depth and the storylines are stilted.
