Vestige: The Lieutenant Harrington Series, Book 3.
A master killer is hunting on Miami's streets, and he’s taking trophies from the bodies he leaves behind.
For Miami Homicide Lieutenant Nash Harrington, tracking down this suspect isn't coming easy. No evidence seems to connect the victims, and each appears to be chosen at random.
With each new homicide, the killer's bravado escalates. The sheer level of boldness in the attacks isn’t something Harrington, or anyone from his department, has seen before.
The killer is searching for a worthy prey, and he might have just found one.
E.H. Reinhard is the author of over twenty novels in the crime fiction and police procedural genres. Residing in sunny Tampa Florida, when not putting pen to paper, or more accurately, keys to keyboard writing his next novel, Reinhard is an avid fisherman and a general enjoyer of everything outdoors.

3.25. Cleverly written book with a gruesome storyline. I honestly had to skip through pages, that were to detailed for me. Wish the author would add a touch of romance.
My first Reinhard reads were two from the Tampa series. I read them because I am from Tampa and thought it would fun to read about places I knew. Some years later I found this series. I was very much surprised to discover the improvement in Mr Reinhard’s work. I still do not understand how he is able to hold the reader’s interest. He writes a police procedural, dialogue is cops talking, location descriptions are dumpy city streets or subdivisions, characters are cops, one would think typical and interesting perhaps. All to say his novels are not boring, they move, sometimes quickly sometimes slowly, but always with the mood Reinhard wants to create. His characters seem to be dedicated to the job. And good at it. And the reader follows them, rides with them, listens with them. If you like police procedurals you will certainly enjoy Reinhard’s efforts. A good read.
Overall, it was okay. At some point in reading crime stories, they all began to look the same. I pretty much only read them when I can't find another book to read. Of the three that I've read thus far, I liked book 2 the best. I do like the main character, Lt. Harrington, and his crew. I thought the antagonist was way over the top, especially the Liberty City incidents. He was too much and just unbelievable. Oh well, on to the next read...
This was an interesting story...a killer with killing game rules and goals. The killer was really smart on police procedures and he was lucky to be caught. Finding the killer's house was from the Sherlock Holmes class...nicely done. I didn't see that solution coming. I recommend this book.
This is my second Harrington book and I am impressed! The characters are so well drawn that I want to email Hoorays to all the good guys and to attack the loathsome bad ones with vengence. As I read rabidly I am grateful there are so many . The author is a master of fear and fun. Try him out. Thanks. Gail Solomon
Another fine straight on police procedural as a serial killer rampages through the streets of Miami and surrounds. The homicide department has no leads and more bodies. Great dialogue, real characters and taut writing once again gives me a gripping read.
e.h. Does it again. Another good book in the series. It would be great if you could do a book where Hank, Nash and Kane all join up to solve a case together. It was a read where it was hard to put the book down until I was finished.
Anther fast moving detective book. You can always expect lots of twists and turns in his stories. They always make you want to turn to the next page. The characters are all real life people. Hope you enjoy as much as i did.
Wow what a terrific story with so many surprises that kept the reader in their toes. The Lt. Harringtons ability to follow through and find the troubled man with so much excitement at the end. Will continue following this talented author
This is a very exciting story about a most unusual killer with a different MO than others. The interesting part to me was the interworkings of the police department in a choreographed effort to catch the killer.
Why does the author keep intertwining police departments and jurisdictions? If you are going to use real names of places, at least be more authentic. Lt. Harrington numerous times in this books identifies himself from Miami PD, not Miami-Dade. Ugh. Story again was decent.
This book had more twist and turns. A great serial killer and crazy cops. Love the author and have read many of his books and will continue to. Highly recommend him. You will love his book.
I WOULD CHOOSE TO READ THIS BOOK TODAY, I PUT THE NEWS ON AND THERE IS A SHOOTER JUST SHOT UP A SUPER MARKET IN BUFFALO NY. IT REMINDED ME OF THE SHOOTER IN THIS BOOK. DAMN. THAT'S AS FAR AS THE COMPARISON GOES, THIS WAS NOT VERY EXCITING, MORE LACK-LUSTER AND HO-HUM. ;<
Harrington and his crew always get their man/woman. Just like Ben Porter in False Assurances, Threat Bias, Subversive Addiction and Vital Deception. Try them if you like Reinhard. Rosow is equally as good!!!
Just finished book 3 of this series. I thought this one had much more gore than the first 2 books. I still loved it! The characters are so well detailed and the police work is very realistic. I look forward to the rest of the series!
I'm amazed that this author can write so many fantastic novels, I hope that he never stops writing. His books are some of the best Entertainment I have read and worth the time to read them. Thank you for a very fun entertaining read.
I really enjoy reading all of Reinhard's books. He keeps everything moving, never a dull moment, and I can hardly wait for the next one! This author is definitely a keeper!
Killer is taking trophy’s of his killing. More bodies, no clues, and is it random. Straight forward dialog, of how they catch the killing. Good story and series
Another excellent read by this author! I really enjoyed the in-depth characters of the detective and the perp. Look forward to reading more books by this author.
