descriptiondescription~WRITING - PLOT - PACE~
I legit almost lost my lunch a few times while reading this one. This author's mind is a SCARY fucked up place for sure. That said, I loved every sick and twisted moment of this book. As I mentioned in my review for book one this duet is by far my favorite from this author to date. The writing was fantastic. The pace was perfect. This book was actually a bit longer than what she usually writes. That was a good thing as It allowed the story to be much more fleshed out. The plot was super engaging. It was twisted. It was super dark. It was fucked up. It was gross. It was disgusting. It was gritty. It was bloody. It was sexy. Last, it was all wrapped up in an OK ending. I have a feeling we will be seeing more of this couple so I can't complain TOO much.

~HERO~
ROMERO...Lord this guy was seriously deranged. A Satanist. A cannibal. A murderer. A rapist. He literally had NO redeeming characteristics. Well, that isn't exactly true. He loved Calista. She was his "QUEEN." And this reader loved his character SO much <--- don't judge (lol). His brand of psycho was HOT.

~HEROINE~
CALISTA...She came a bit more into her own in this one. Her and Rom were perfect for each. Bound together in crazy and covered in blood. She was just as fucked up as Romero was. She was feisty. She was strong. She stood toe to toe with the devil. I loved her.

description

~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~
Again as with book one, we have a rich tapestry of secondary characters in this one. I loved Grim. I loved Arlen <--- I can't wait for their book coming up. I loved Cobra. Each one of them was intriguing and added a lot of depth and background to the story.

~HEAT LEVEL~
Medium. There were some smokin' hot sex scenes in this one and the frequency fit the story. As with book one, this couple has AMAZING on page chemistry. Cali and Rom are my favorite couple out of all the books I have read by this author (which is all of them I *think*).

~ANGST LEVEL~
Low. Again this one wasn't angsty in the least for me. This couple is solid all through the book and there was no OW or OM drama.

~IN THE END~
I LOVED it. This duet is now firmly in first place as my favorite from this author. The writing was great. The plot twisted and dark. The characters well developed and intriguing. Natalie Bennett just keeps getting better and better. If you are a dark book lover than this author is not to be missed. Two HUGE thumbs up from yours truly.description

This book was fantastically bad and all sorts of wrong and I still devoured every word. If you thought Savages was hard-core well this one is on another level entirely.
Think of every act of bad and then quadruple this by one-hundred and I still don't think you could come close to how intensely wrong this was. You’d need to have a death wish to get in the way of the devil and his malignant queen. This got revolting at times, like I'm gonna lose my dinner sick.

 photo NoZsaLr_zpspv2m5gaw.gif

So Romero is off the charts insane I'm talking a complete psychopathic, cannibalistic satanist. He has few redeeming qualities except his love and affection for his Queen Calista.
she's equally as deranged completely embracing the darkness inside herself. There main objective here seems to be revenge and reigning supreme over the badlands.
It’s also extremely disturbing to realise just how much I enjoyed this messed up narrative. This author has a seriously messed up mind and I loved it.

So what else, I adored all the secondary players here. This was full of twists and turns but fairly low on the angst which I appreciated as I'm not really a lover of angsty scenarios. Just be aware before digging in here this is a seriously unbalanced narrative that takes complete advantage of its anything-goes dystopian post-apocalyptic setting. You will for sure need a strong stomach. There must be something wrong with me because I can't wait to read the next one in this gruesome series. Check your triggers before picking this series up as this is next level.
I was provided with a review copy of "Deviants (Badlands #2) " By the author of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

They talked about 'feelings' a lot in this one. Kinda out of place, considering how depraved these characters were but it's fine.

Since the my shock value was decreased from the previous instalment, this book was a little bit weaker compared to the first one. As per usual, I loved it when they kill/torture people together (and that's not weird, okay? No judgement.)

Anyhow, if you're bored with happy-rainbow-puppies-equivalent contemporary romance, definitely would recommend this. Of course, if you're okay with graphically depicted torture scenes.

Fuck me....this was...fucked up....but utterly good👍

P.s. is it twisted of me to say how I m eager to jump in book 3, looking forward to see Arlen and Grimm's story...

damn, I never made it, in writing my full review of the second book in Badlands series, cause I got swept off my feet and tossed into this whirlpool of messy, violent mash up of everything a person could explore in her own darkest corner but would an usually is afraid to venture in...

and damn, i entered, recklessly and fearlessly and I don't really think I came back the same LOL

this second book is again centered on Romero & Calista, but now, they are more entangled in bloodshed of their vengeful journey, as they both punish their tormentors...

the horrid experiences of their childhood might have altered them into the ravaging personalities they are now BUT they OWN it and they molded it into acceptance and within that realm of savagery and violence they found pulsating need for each other in one another...

and once again, I found Ms. Natalie Bennett's captivating writing even more alluring inspite of the attempts of shocking scenes of gore, violence and horror...they are just a factor that intensifies the atmosphere of the scenery and the storyline, cause behind that bloodshed and splashy vivid imagery, the true blooded, twistedly vulnerable but still vulnerable characters live and try to obtain and prevail in the dystopian surroundings and the horrifying torment that was forced upon them, meant for them to turn into service pawn and abused toys BUT instead they survived as blooded KIng and Queen - victorious in dread and chaos.

I do have to point out that through out the whole text, there were just a tad bit too much of the grammar errors, that made me think this book didn't pass the editing process, and that really diminished the whole impact of the final product.

Edit To Come

This book is the conclusion of the story between Romero and Calista.

I'm fucking obsessed with them!
They're both psychotic, maniac, savage, smart, crazy and possessive AF.

Following the cliff left in savages, the book starts two weeks after the bridge events, and I really loved that the blood, the kills and the sex were still as creative in this book as it was in the first one.
And OMG they're reaaaally 🔥🔥🥵🥵.

Cali is a fucking queen in this book and I loved how she embraced her darkness and everything that came with being in love with the devil. Her mind is a mess, but she's accepting herself and glowing!

Speaking of the devil, Rome is still holding so many secrets from her in this book, that I'm pretty sure it will have another book just to tell all of them!
But he also evolved with her, and their next level relationship is soooooo fucked up as both of them together!
But they really fit!

My missing star is for the dragging and that terrible closure page in the last chapter... I mean... They've spent 2 books practicing torture on their enemies, just to that "page only" scene with the big bad wolf?
I'm sorry if my bloodlust couldn't accept that.... Just drag his ass out and show me what you can do, babe!
Cali, Rome and I deserved that scene!

But I'll still continue with this series!
This group of Savages and Deviants is just too good to let go!

Deviants is book 2 in the Badlands Series and continues Calista and Romero's story. Now while I enjoyed it, there was something missing for me. I found myself bored at times especially with the repetitive dialogue and the annoying mistakes. I'm not super picky with editing but the author really needs to pay better attention because it becomes distracting. I'm half way through book 3 and find the mistakes are even worse. Overall I'm addicted to this series and the depraved World this author has created that I can't stop reading.

There were many grammatical mistakes. Spelling mistakes. Sometimes words were left out or doubled and then the sentence didn't make any sense. Not good for a great reading experience.

I like dark reads, so that's not my problem with this book. I knew from the beginning, what I was up against. I just thought it would be different.

There were so many disturbing scenes, that didn't make any sense. It was just to shock the reader. So many people were killed and tortured and so on. Don't want to go into details here.
Every woman we come across is killed and tortured, safe the best friend form the Heroine (didn't remember her from book 1). And also just because the Hero wanted the Heroine to have a female friend. All women were backstabbers and liars and not good enough. Well all expect our Heroine. Doesn't that sound familiar? Moving on.

The Hero was dark, really dark. There was no romantic bone in his body. He was harsh and cruel and did what he wanted. I didn't like reading about him and the Heroine. I didn't buy their "love" or "addiction" to one another. The sex scenes were brutal and bloody and didn't do anything for me. I wasn't even grossed out, because for me this is so far fetched, that I envisioned everything like a bad horror movie with lots of fake ketchup blood. So there's that.

Of course Heroine gets pregnant. And Hero likes it (as much as he can like anything). They don't really talk about it. They don't really talk about anything. He tells her what he thinks she should know, and Heroine doesn't bother to go against his wishes. The story doesn't end with the birth, so what'll happen once the baby arrives is unknown. The next book in this series will be about Grimm (or what's his name) and by then I have lost my interest for the first couple.

All in all it was an ok read. I read it because I wanted to know how it would end. The ending left me unsatisfied, because the story really goes on.
This wasn't a romantic read. I knew it from the beginning, but I wished for more feelings, more honesty in their relationship. When reading the blurb I thought this story would be like "Sick Fux" by Tillie Cole. Because this was a master piece, at least in my mind. And I thought this book would be in the same category. Unfortunately it wasn't the case.

I won't read any more books of this series. I just don't have any interest anymore.

So…. If you can believe this, B2 is so much more disturbing than B1. Where the torture had purpose before, now it’s just added to be gross. Remember my 3Ps. “Pain - Plot = Pointless”.
FYI: I don’t know why these book covers are showing up like this, but what I’m reading in Kindle has a different cover. These are hideous and scary and I probably would have never picked up the books if they had this cover.

I would bring the devil to his knees and put that silver tongue of his to work between my thighs. If I was meant to be a queen, then it was time to wear the fucking crown.

This one is supposed to be Cali, Rome, Cobra, Grimm, and Arlen continuing to track down all of the leaders from The Order making them pay for all the raping they did to our team (with the exception of Arlen). The whole book is: (1) highly detailed internal monologues for both Cali & Rome about how perfect the other is for them, (2) Cali & Rome fucking, (3) torturing someone, and (4) fucking in the person’s blood. It’s a repeat of that same sequence over and over again. There are a few convos with the other people, but nothing really deep.

QUESTIONS: I have more questions and no answers. We get 0% info on how this apocalypse happened. They have TVs and cell phones that work, running water, electricity, etc. How did all of this remain? Cali allegedly knows NOTHING of the normal world, so she’s shocked to see a cell phone for the first time. It’s so fucking weird how this was written. There’s just no context for anything. There are so many questions about characters and what parts they actually played in things. It’s almost like there was a whole “origin story” book that we aren’t privy to. Characters were added and I’m like who the fuck are you talking about?!

CALI: One thing that just doesn’t match up is that everyone talks about how dark and twisted Cali is, and how you can’t keep up with her mood swings and how unpredictable she is, but she’s not. She’s actually really calm and rational about everything. I’d actually say she’s too calm about things. The times when she does get pissed, she’s really justified in feeling that way. I’d have reacted much worse to the things she’s faced with. When we do get to a torture scene (which is like every other scene), she just starts doing unhinged stuff, but as far as her personality, she’s just regular.

ROME: WTF. Where I was adding him to my top 10 MMCs in Book 1, I can honestly say he doesn’t make that list in Book 2. I think my issue became his lack of tenderness and understanding with Cali. So, I still insist he’s bipolar. He’ll say, “Cali is my queen and I need her by my side” and then he’ll turn around and say, “I don’t have time for your bullshit tantrums.” I’m going to give you an example, but it’ll be a spoiler. . So, for sure Rome isn’t on my list anymore. Oh…..

SEX: I was honestly tired of the freaking sex. He did give good oral – although considering these people rarely shower, I can’t say it turned me on.

GROSS: Every single scene is just torture. It’s like that movie Saw. There’s no substance, just a bunch of gross stuff added for a scare factor. It’s just overkill at this point (please note, there's almost no gore in Book 3).

REVENGE: So all this time we wanted revenge against some bad people. We got mostly gore, but at least they suffered. There is one person who I thought deserved to be tortured the most and it just kind of ended with an afterthought. Like, "oh... btw... he's dead". Like WTF. I was NOT satisfied by that.

CLIFFY: So B1 & B2 were supposed to be Rome & Cali’s primary story, with Book 3 being Grimms, and Book 4 being Cobras. I’m going to continue reading because this ends on a cliffy with someone getting kidnapped, but I’m not holding my breath.

BABY: We knew Cali was going to get pregnant because in Rome talked about knocking her up on purpose in B1. The whole baby thing is just weird in B2.

TRIGGERS: All of my triggers are in my B1 review.

So – like I said – I don’t know for sure I’d recommend this. I mean I loved B1 so much, but B2 just went off the grid. I'm honestly feeling this is around 2.5 stars, but I'll round to 3.

Update. Book 3 has me back in the game. I just want to know what happens!! I feel pretty confident that we'll never know how/why this apocalyptic even happened that changed everything, but here we are.

Loved it 🙌🏼 review to follow... its 1am 😴

Edit...

5 twisted stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“The devil asked me how I knew my way around the halls of hell. I told him I did not need a map for the darkness I know so well.”

This book is all sorts of wrong like, ON SO MANY levels. 😳😂 Natalie Bennett is a sick genius, I love how her mind works. I’m completely blown away by her, how her twisted mind flows and captivates you. The writing is fantastic, the pace is super fast and the character building is superb.
The plot was shocking, full of gore, bloodshed with some of the most super depraved & twisted characters you’ll ever meet. The recap at the beginning of each book is fantastic! I wish every author made a point of doing this. Be warned!! Deviants has quite a few trigger warnings so be aware. This is book 2 so I’m sure you all ready know of the possible (many) triggers if you’ve read book 1.

“ if you have any issues reading about very dark & depraved themes with zero regard for moral boundaries, this is not the series for you!”

For all their faults, and they had many, I loved all of the characters. Grimm, Cobra & Arlen brought so much depth to Romero & Cali’s story. Each one of them dark & damaged but loyal & courageous with a hefty douse of violence. Their backstories were brutal yet intriguing. They’re all damaged yet their dysfunctional relationships, loyalty and bond is something else. Prepare yourselves for another shit storm, wetsuits at the ready & dive straight in 🙌🏼😂

“All the men in her life had failed to protect her. They never realized they had something as rare as gold in the palms of their hands. Instead, they shoved her in a bottomless sinkhole to wither away. Now, I got to watch her rise from the ashes like a goddamn phoenix. She was a dark rose finally learning how to wield the wicked thorns she’d been forced to grow. She was everything, and she was fucking mine. I didn’t need a deal to do what was right for once. I was going to tear apart every motherfucker that hurt her. Her shameful truths became my vengeance. Destroying The Order would never be her burden to carry alone.”

I was addicted to bloodlust, violence, and depraved, immoral fucking. I was obsessed with a man revered as the devil — an obsession that was growing like a malignant tumor.

I lowkey feel like Cali, because half the time I had no fucking clue what was going on. And with the way Rome was breadcrumbing the shit out of the both us throughout this story, it’s no wonder I’m drowning in a million questions, while she was being distracted with enough hot sex to make my head spin.

That being said, let’s talk about how the plot wasn’t just soaked in gore - it was damn near marinated in it. Book one actually tried - we had backstory, solid players, and a clear endgame. But this book? This was a chaotic mock-up of 1,000 Ways to Die, - and honestly? I wasn’t even remotely surprised, not with the way all our second rate NPCs were dropping like dominoes with a death wish, and being yeeted right out the damn plot like the author was settling personal scores.

Natalie if you’re reading this, blink twice if you need help?

Sex: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
I’m not entirely sure what kind of trauma bonded lust ritual this was, but I need a breather… or maybe I need some more of it.

Death count:
Everyone died. Twice. Some of them spiritually. Honestly, at some point I stopped counting and just assumed everyone was on a timer. Including me.

Times I was confused: I’m still confused now and it’s over. I think I blacked out somewhere between murder #13 and church #2 being burned to the ground.

So if the devil ever asks you to dance, You better say never, because a dance with the devil may last you forever.

Too bad I’m more of a yes person - so I guess it looks like I’ll be continuing this dance with the devil until the bitter end.

3 stars even though I love the characters and story

As much as I love the depraved insane characters and hate what little we are given about the world, I feel this was a great continuation of the story. No mercy is shown for those who cross these characters. Their methods are extreme and hardcore. Violence is their answer to every problem. It's highly entertaining and their chemistry is volatile and explosive.

This book is gory, bloody, and so effed up that I can't help but like it. The author takes the worst of the worst and spins it into gold... that is if you like horror. And I sure do.

I also love that there is a recap of the previous book and the spotify playlist.

What I didn't like is that the author falls into the trap of letting exceptionally original characters who thrive on a lack of morals and excel at being the worst kind of people to run into in a dystopian setting, and deciding to humanize then and make them more normal by having a baby in the middle of chaos. Really? Okay then.

Also, there are no reasons given as to why society has collapsed. Again, at least a mention of some sort of cause would be appreciated.

Then there are the spelling, formatting, and grammatical errors all throughout the book. I can overlook these when the story is as outstanding as this normally, but at the end of the book, she thanks her editor. She clearly didn't bother reading the book herself.

POV: First Person - Dual

After years of being used, Calista was ready to claim her place beside Romero Deville. But with their enemy still beyond their grasp, the road ahead was bound to be paved in blood.

Since Calista and Romero’s relationship was already established, this book focused more on their revenge. Several new characters were introduced, and my favorite was Luther.

I needed him to feed the addict in me. I needed him to fill the bottomless void inside me so I could feel whole again. We were tied together from the second we met.

However, I wished there was a better explanation of one character’s action/motivation because it played a significant part towards the end. I felt this book was more tame than the previous one, but thankfully there was a scene that was both disgusting and fascinating.

Deviants is a story of secrets and betrayal. It is the conclusion of Romero and Calista’s story.

This is my 6 novel I have read by Natalie Bennett. And I still get blown away of how dark her books are. Last year I was introduced to her, thanks to Amazon when I was browsing other dark romance authors and Amazon suggested her novel Love Obscene that I purchased and devoured in one sitting and that was the day I fell in love with her novels, her writing, and her dark soul. Her novels are the only ones that make my dark soul happy. I feel like our souls match and I can always count on her to write something to get me out of book funks. But her novels usually leaves me in book funks as well.

But Deviants (Badlands) series has come close to my love for the Love Obscene series. Loved the characters. I liked how Calista wasn't just a Mousey kinda girl. She had spunk. Rome, the devil himself loved everything about him. I loved how fucked up he was. Loved that he was showing some emotions in this. He might have still wanted to kill Calista but you could see he loved her more. The writing was even better in this book than the book before. And I'm pretty sure this was much longer then all her other books.

I highly recommend this book if you loved dark novels. but please read the first in the series first or youll get lost in this one.

***Part 2 of Cali & Rome’s story; you must read Savages first***

I don’t know what love is. No one’s ever loved me. I’m not even sure if I believe in it. But if there was anyone that could make me, it would be you.

Deviants picks up 2 weeks after the last book with Cali and Rome separated. IMO, this takes a smidge to get going because Calista is away from the gang for the first chunk. It’s 100+ more pages, and I felt it a bit. The rest is much the same as the group work to take down the Order.

Fuck Prince Charming and knights in shining armor; I had a beautiful dark king.

Bottom Line- I’m not going to go over all the triggers again because you should already know what you’re getting into. It’s so fucked up, but I gobble these books down. It doesn’t end in a cliffy for C & R, but Arlen’s future isn’t certain.

There are three levels to crazy
- Organized chaos
- Madness
- Mess

This storyline was a mess😬

The plot is underdeveloped, the heroine keeps getting more annoying and torture stuff was thrown in just for the sake of it. It didn't even provide shock value anymore.
Also, I couldn't enjoy one good thing that's present in the book i.e Rome's manipulation cuz..... is it really 'good manipulation' when Cali isn't even trying to doubt stuff or connect any dots? I can't make myself continue this series😑

Can’t say I enjoyed this book any more than the first one and it sucks cuz these characters are my kind of crazy (well, sort of). They do go quite overboard sometimes and def had me cringing a few times with some of their torture methods, YIKES. I’m still mostly pissed the setting is still a big fat question mark. How can we make sense of this without understanding wtf is going on lol? They have technology, cell phones, cars and obviously gasoline which requires a running system of goods etc. plus seem to have some type of territorial boundaries set up but there’s NO bigger picture and I’m mad trying to piece all this together with so little to go on. Perhaps this is part of the overall plot to the series and will make sense in later books but it’s unfortunate cause I doubt I’ll be continuing and yet I still have questions.

I can’t say I was a fan of the plot either especially the who’s your daddy, who’s not your daddy debacle. It was a new level of ridiculous drama that was just unnecessary. At times the I found myself mixing up characters as I found it too confusing trying to remember who was who. Usually I love crazy psychopaths and I love when they find love. But something about these two MCs almost scares me that they’re having a child. I mean they don’t even smile or twitch hearing the heartbeat and all I can think is they will literally be raising a little antichrist. Normally that would intrigue me enough to keep going but sadly I think I’ll still probably end here.

Side note I'm also pretty freaked out over having seen Cobra twice now I believe rape some guy in the ass. And looks like he has a book a couple from now and I’ll admit I’m curious what kind of crazy woman he’d attract and keep, but still don’t think this series is for me. Plus now Noah is really Romeros brother, the one behind all this war and obsessed with Romero. So much drama but still no answers. Rant review over lol

Oh my dayz. I loved book one Savages. I loved it so much that I re read it before jumping into this book. I don’t re read much but I can see me re reading this series quite a bit as it’s a fantastic series.

Savages had the shock factor for me. The OMG am I really reading and loving this story. My expectations were high for Deviants. I wanted the author to blow my mind and she exceeded my expectations. She blew my mind. There aren’t many books that had me cringing but I did cringe twice while reading Deviants. I had to take a deep breath and keep reading. Let me just say I was mentally high fiving the author as I crave being pushed.

I’m not gonna go into the storyline as I don’t wanna ruin either book for you. I absolutely loved the two main characters Calista and Romero. They suit each other so well.

If your like me and you love dark twisted stories then I highly recommend you read these now. I’m so looking forward to reading more of this series.

Loved It 4/5

Another awesome read in Badlands series by Natalie Bennett. Deviants #2 picks up right after Savages #1.
.
I fell more in love with Romero and Calista. Romero is crazier but the next moment can be the sweetest and most gentle hero. They do not have a typical hearts and flowers relationship. But his actions show how he truly loves her. Their life is bloody, gross and romantic in its own non tradition way.
.
Calista character growth was perfect. Loved that she really is as twisted as Romero. She was feisty, strong and can still hold her own with him.
.
Good strong secondary characters. So happy Grim and Arien are next. Excited to see how their story plays out. Series must be read in order.

TOP FAV ALERT!

"We made a deal. You belong to me until you take your last breath, even if it's me who steals it from you."

GOD! I LOVED the first book in this duet. It did end in a cliffhanger so I couldn't wait to dive into this one and find out what happens next!

Natalie did not disappoint! Deviants picks up where Savages left off and does NOT hold back! It's dark, gritty, GRUESOME -- I don't have a weak stomach at all but I DID have to cringe and look away a few times. There is torture and it's not pretty. AT ALL. So many twists and questions are answered.

Cali and Rome are my fav <3
You bleed so pretty.

They are NOT TRADITIONAL.
They are VILE
They are beautiful together.

I WANT MORE!

WARNING do not read this review if you have triggers concerning violent and deadly descriptions of things I wished happened to a fictional character. This is purely fictional. FICTION.

This book starts off right where Savages exploded and ended up imploding in the end. We continue to learn more about the Badlands, new people, cannibals, blood relations, backstories, and of course, the fucking sex, it just never fucking ends (thank you). The death scenes get creative, and I kid you not, I giggled and clapped my hands reading a scene that contained boiling hot water and a knife.

Romero opens up more and continues to fuck Cali either with his cock or by keeping shit from her. Cali's emotional blunting is highlighted throughout this book. It is fucking insane and I love it. I've always been a whore for mental disorders in books and it's portrayed beautifully on Cali.

Ok, so now for the shit. We have this villain. This cranberry fucknut, who is spoken of and seen to be as appealing as the ketchup pre-cum you get when your fucking moronic ass forgets to shake the bottle and squirts that shit all over your fucking, wait. Hold up, what am I talking about? I got distracted. (Flips through notes; insane, tons of sex, triggering shit, triggering shit, trigge- oh here it is) DEATH. Fucking death. Don't fuck me over on a good death scene, ESPECIALLY if it's for someone who fucking deserves it and you see the Savages doing CRAZY FUCKING SHIT to lower level losers and when you finally have the grand cock, You. Fucking. Just. Skip. It? NOPE. Nope, nope. Fucking nope. I need Cobra raw dogging it while this dudes cock is worked on with a potatoe peeler. I need Grimm to snap the jaw open so his sliced cock can be shoved into his mouth. I then want his hands. His fucking hands with every finger snapped and hanging by the skin and attached by a nail gun to his eyes. I want pain. Fucking pain. I. Did. Not. Fucking. Get. This. I got "ok readers, we finally, accidentally (I might add) caught the villian. End scene. First epilogue. Second Epilogue." What the actual fuck?! No. Fuck this! I mean, I'm still reading this series cuz she fucking rocks in her evilness, but that lack of info lost 1.5 stars for me.

Natalie Bennett's Deviants is book 2 in the Badlands series. Make sure you have read Savages first as this is NOT a standalone.

5 dark twisted stars. If i could rate this book any higher i would.

This series is NOT I repeat NOT for the faint hearted.
It may contain triggers for some as it contains rape and well so much more..

It is full of blood and gore, it's fucked up, it fuck with your head but those sex scences are HAF 🔥🔥🔥🔥 This dark romance does not contain hearts and roses, it contains the devil and his queen instead.😈👑🖤

I loved every minute of this book,( yeah I don't care that it may make me seem deranged, it has satisfied my dark twisted heart).

So this book picks up where Savages left us, we know from the first book that Rome is a sadistic psycho who has managed to pull not only my hearts strings but also Calista's. He's the a tormented dark king in need of getting his queen back. Calista was left confused not understanding what she has witnessed, all she knows is that she needs to find her way back to Rome.
We get more of an understanding of Rome's past in this book. You will have a few major WTF moments.
I'm so glad Arlen gets her own book. I hope we see more of the gang in it.

All in all this book was EPIC!!!!
