Sales Development: Cracking the Code of Outbound Sales

Rate this book
Sales development is one of the fastest growing careers in the United States. It is fast-paced, often on the leading edge of technology, and people in the role have the possibility of making a ton of money! Unlike accounting, medicine, or law, most salespeople do not study their profession in college. Instead, they are tossed into the fray without much training, context, or support, and are left to sink or swim. This method proves neither efficient nor effective for the individual or the company. Sales Development is written specifically for the job seeker or individual contributor who has aspirations of success in a sales development role, and beyond. This is your personal guidebook to the how, why, and what-to-do’s of the sales development profession. Written practically and tactically, this book shows you how to get the job, how to perform, and how to position yourself for advancement. Based upon ten years of teaching sales development representatives in the fastest-growing companies in the United States, this book will launch you on your path to becoming a rock star.

Great book for college grads just entering sales development. Saves you the time of years of blog posts and articles to get a lay of the land. As someone with mid level experience it was nice to see how the authors covered a wide range of topics related to sales development and surprisingly I picked up a couple tidbits, even though 90% Not was new knowledge.

As somebody starting a new job as an SDR, this book was nothing short of a Bible. Thanks for penning it down- also loved the flow of language and the style with the characters embedded into the storyline

I was not the target audience of this book and it is difficult too review if this would be valuable for an entry level person.

The structure is fairly ok, but whole alex/leonard etc feels disconnected.

Some good thoughts but overall too general advise to consider higher rating.

If you need a quick glimpse into the everyday life of a sales development representative, a tech one at that, this book is for you. There is not much depth, just covering all the bases and showing you the way.

Meh.
A couple of good nuggets, but for me personally this wasn’t anything new or too helpful. It was mostly basic info for those looking to get into becoming an SDR.
This book was worth about $5 to me.
Too short and basic for what I paid.

Da muy buenos ejemplos y va en una manera muy estructurada.
Creo que es ideal para empezar con las ventas, ya que no tiene nada muy relevante si ya eres muy experimentado.
