It has been 5 years since Georgia Charles survived winter and childbirth alone in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. Her ordeal and rescue thrust Georgia into sudden fame and all she wants is a normal life in which to raise her daughter.
Chasing Georgia is the 2nd book of The Georgia Series by June V. Bourgo. This exciting and well written story will tug at your heartstrings as Georgia faces new obstacles and challenges in her pursuit for normalcy. I can hardly wait for Book 3.
*I recieved this book in return for an honest review* Firstly, I was really looking forward to this continuation from book 1 and I was in no way disappointed. In fact I was dragged into a story that became more suspenseful as it developed. There were several points in the story that made me tear up but it was the ending that had the tears flowing. The way the characters have grown in this second book is amazing. They are such a strong lot of characters that fit the continuing storyline fantastically.
June V. Bourgo is a master at multi-layering a plot. In Chasing Georgia an unknown stalker enters her complex life, which sends everything into a tailspin. Georgia Charles was already dealing with the sudden death of her ex-husband and having to cope with his judgmental family. Colin’s death brought out the best of her as a loving and caring mother, but her insecurities in her relationship with Sean caused her to push him away. Those that love her most step up and support her as this man gets closer to her destination. As this nightmare unfolds she finds he isn’t just a stalker, but much worse. Even innocent children will not stop this deranged man from tearing Georgia from those who love her.
Chasing Georgia is a fascinating read as you see the strength and fortitude Georgia Charles exhibits in the second book of her trilogy. June V. Bourgo brings the beauty and mystique from the Canadian county to life within this novel, giving it a distinctive setting. Events happen quickly as death waits for no one and her stalker feels it is time to meet in person. The magnificence of this novel is the author’s ability to grasp the emotions and grief that comes with a terminal illness. Weaving a bond among the characters and readers through heartache and loss, allows this novel to touch the heart of most families. June V. Bourgo then shows how love and hope fills the gaps lacking in their lives. This novel will make you laugh, cry, and rejoice as their story unfolds and sets up for the next adventure in Georgia’s life.

Georgia is approached by her ex-husband (who recently died) wife who is dying and turns her world upside down when she asks her to take on the responsibility of raising her daughter (half sister to her daughter).
Not to mention there is a stalker determined to make her his own and goes after her. This book is a wild ride in strength and determination to live and protect her daughters. Full novel, not cliffhanger and HEA (loved the HEA so much!!!)
I loved this continuing story of Georgia and her family. Julie, the widow of her ex husband asks Georgia to adopt Shelby, her ex husbands child. Julie is dying and wants Shelby to grow up with her sister Kalea. Between that and a stalker that is harassing Georgia, there's a lot going on. The author has put a lot of love in this book but also wisdom and insight into a person's heart. I was very impressed by the writing and emotion that came through the words. Excellent job.
Georgia’s story is a compelling one, told in such a way that the reader can easily bring to mind her beauty & compassion. It’s a tale of intrigue too, as the author never gives too much away about where the finale is heading. Not my usual genre, but a writer that I shall definitely seek out again in future.
This is the second story in the Georgia Series and its as good as the first. I love this strong, intelligent woman and her compassionate heart. Love, danger, romance and tragic loss are all here and Miss Bourgo weaves them into a tale worth the read. If you haven't read Winters Captive, go get it, now I am off to get book three the Missing Thread.
This is a great plot, well written, with plenty of fun, tears, fears and romance. I only gave the book 4 stars, because there were a big number of editing mistakes. Mistakes in a book, break the flow of the reader, and drive me nuts. I am sure I will pick up the next book in the series and hope it is better edited.
The story of Georgia continues the ups and downs take your emotions on a roller coaster ride. Please have your tissues handy. As this family lives through more than any one should. But they come out the other side together
The book review for today is “Chasing Georgia (The Georgia Series) (Volume 2)” by June V. Bourgo. It falls in the genre of fiction, romance, drama and suspense.
Meet Georgia Charles. When we last saw her she was lost and pregnant in the wilderness while holding up in a cabin alone. There were men following her. Men who had nothing good in mind.
Since then George has moved on with her daughter, the man in her life and the celebrity status due to her adventures. She wants to lead a quiet life. Her daughter is about to start school while her boyfriend’s career keeps him busy. Life is good. Right?
She is approached by her husband’s wife who is dying. Why contact Georgia? Well the woman had a child about the same time as Georgia. The two little girls are half sisters and she is asking Georgia if they can meet. Not only meet but would Georgia be willing to take on the responsibility of raising both girls.
The revelation spirals our leading lady into questioning what she should do and how she should decide. She can’t agree to this, can she? But wait. That is not all that is there to worry about.
I enjoyed reading the continuation of this series. The ups and downs as the pages turned will keep you reading for more.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
