This is the fifth book in The Dare Ménage series ... [This book can also be read as standalone].
Can two men deeply in love survive the addition of a woman running from danger?
Olivia Holloway’s life has never been easy. On her own at sixteen, she’s fought to survive ever since. When she finds herself in a dangerous situation that even she can’t handle, she has to break down and ask for help. She reluctantly seeks it by showing up at her estranged brother’s law firm.
However, it’s not her brother, Trey, who steps in, it’s the firm’s private investigator, Elliot Stone and his husband, Grant Lane. They agree to hide her at their home to keep her safe after she witnesses a powerful, corrupt politician murdering a pregnant prostitute.
Together for a decade, Eli and Grant’s marriage is solid and they’re still deeply in love. But when Olivia shows up at the firm they both work at, Eli feels a pull toward the woman he can’t deny. Only now he has to convince his husband that bringing her into their relationship will not destroy what they have and only enhance it. But will Grant agree?
And will the trouble that’s following Olivia put them all at risk?
Note: This book includes an HEA ending, and is intended for audiences over 18 years of age since it includes MMF scenes between all three characters.

5 star review of Dare To Surrender (The Dare Menage Series # 5) by Jeanne St James
Audio Review:
Narrated by Sean Crisden, Ava Lucas and JF Harding this was a captivating story that kept my attention throughout. The French spoken throughout this book was smoking hot and added to my listening pleasure.
What happens when your husband of 10 years suggests the possibility of adding a woman to your relationship? That is the position that Grant Lane finds himself in. When Elliot (Eli) Stone first sees Olivia (Liv) Holloway there is something about her that draws him to her. Perhaps it is the danger she finds herself in, but there is something that he cannot ignore.
Liv has been on her own for years but when she finds herself in danger, even though it has been 16 years, she turns to her estranged brother Trey for help.
When Eli offers up his home with Grant as a sanctuary, Liv is unsure if she should accept but Eli is adamant.
I fell hard and fast for Eli Stone; the relationship he had with Grant was amazing. Their chemistry together was off the charts and I loved how committed they were to one another.
Liv cannot help but be in awe of the relationship Eli and Grant have. She has had no one on her side and in truth all she wants is to love and be loved.
There is drama, suspense, spice, heat and so much emotion that I couldn’t put this book down, listening to it in almost one go.
The chemistry between Eli, Grant and Liv was electrifying. Falling for both men is more than she expected. Can Eli and Grant protect her and in turn bring her into their relationship?
I love that we got to see glimpses of the other triads and to see what was happening in their lives. This was a fabulous addition to a series I have come to love.
Olivia is working in a halfway house when she witnesses a crime that puts her life is in danger so she goes to the only person who she thinks may be able to help, her brother Trey, even if she hasn’t seen him for 16 years.
When she goes to his office she is greeted by Eli, the law firm’s private investigator. To ensure her safety she begins living with Eli and his husband of 10 years, Grant. Olivia is very independent as she has been on her own for 16 years and used to doing things by herself which is in contrast with the men who want to help. There is a chemistry and connection between the three, but will they be able to keep her safe and accept her as an equal partner in their relationship?
The combination of heat, emotion and suspense make this a book you won’t be able to put down. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book.
I loved this hot and dirty book from JSJ. You could really feel the love and connection between Grant and Eli, and the addition of Liv just made it all the hotter. The world could use more guys like these two; dominating and romantic, sensitive and protective and oh so naughty in the bedroom. It really is a fantasy you don't want to miss out on -- two sexy AF guys and the woman who wins both their hearts. Toss in some mild suspense and secret that could ruin them all and this book has it all. Another 5-star read from JSJ! <3
This book put readers in The middle of The events - Liv is on The Run, afraid, but what had happened? Add to it sexy, handsome and masculine to The Edge men? I Loved The feelings between Grant and Eli with The one blooming for Liv. The read was about Love trusting ranking about feelings and scorching sexiness! I Love characters created by this author - Full, humanly, living, caring, changing gradualy!
2⭐️-ish, I guess, maybe lower stars. If an MMF ménage could be cheesy, somehow this one is it. Quite honestly I found it quite boring and trite at times. The beginning of the meeting of the ménage until the end-ish is legitimately 2 weeks. WTF?! Way too unrealistic and too obviously transparent of a plot to not make me connect to any character, whatsoever. I rolled my eyes WAY too much, specifically at the end, that it blows my mind I finished this nonsense.
I liked the premise more than the execution. The Hs are in love, mature, in their long term marriage. H meets a woman and he knows that he wants no needs, her too. She is frightened and at risk, but also very attracted to the H. He takes her home and then they all have to work out the impact she will have on their marriage. It was a good idea that somehow got side tracked with pedantic and not at all romantic 'what goes where, and with whom! I did like and wanted more on the jealously, who loves who the most, and for the h, she could never really compete with their history. It seemed a bit odd for book 5, I would have thought the loves scenes would be far more romantic than they were.
Fabulous Story & Narration🎧 A Trifecta of Hotness🔥
Dare to Surrender Dare Menage Series, Book 5 By: Jeanne St. James Narrated by: Sean Crisden, Ava Lucas, J. F. Harding
Wow, a trifecta of hotness times two, the characters and relationship Jeanne St. James created and the fabulous narrators who brought those characters to life. I loved this book, the storylines are interesting and once I started I was in it to the end, not putting it down once. Olivia “Liv” has been estranged from her brother, Trey, for 16 years but after stumbling something that lands her in trouble she goes to see if he could help, she has no one else to turn to. When she walks in to his law firm no one even know Trey had a sister. Eli sees her at the reception area and takes her to Trey, after explaining her situation Eli volunteers that she could stay with him and his husband Grant. There is something about her that he is drawn to. I loved how this story played out, from the hot scenes between Eli and Grant to when Liv joined in to the drama, twists and suspense. Thank you Jeanne St. James for another great story and for mastering the dynamics of a polyamorous relationship and all the good loving & emotions that goes with it.
I listened to the Audible edition, Ava Lucas, J.F Harding and Sean Crisden are fabulous narrators and voice performers. They do an amazing job projecting the emotions of the characters in their performance. I loved Ava’s take on Olivia, you could hear her strength and vulnerability. Oh and those boys, that accent and the French! Smoking hot and swoon worthy! Each one is their own talent and together they brought so much to this story. Thank you for this amazing listen🎧
Ok I have been waiting for forever for this book and I must say Jeanne St. James didn't let me down. Eli and his sexy French yesssssss love it and he know how to use to get his way. From the moment he saw Liv he was pulled to her and knew he had to help her but he has run things by the love of his life and husband Grant. Grant took one look at his Big Man and knew his life is about to change but Grant just wants to know if it's a good thing. Liv has no one that she trusts so she goes to the one person who she hopes will not turn her away. Trey and his partners are still crazy about each other and Trey is still driving Gryff crazy but he loves it. Gryff is very protective of Trey so he is not to sure about how things are going and he makes it very clear that he doesn't want Trey hurt. Even though it's been sixteen years since Trey has seen Liv he doesn't hesitate to help her. I love that fact that Grant and Eli relationship was so solid and strong that even though their lives were changing Eli stilled showed Grant that he is first always. Your heart will go out to Liv she has been alone for so long she doesn't even know how to act when the guys show her love. Grant and Liv have a part where he finally has to decide if this is what he wants and it will have you on pins and needles but when he makes his mind up boy is it hot. You will need a drink for the end of the book though. This book is part of a series so if you haven't read them OMG go and download them all I promise they are fantastic you will not be disappointed I promise. I voluntarily read a arc copy
Each time a release of this series comes out, I think, you can't top the last one. And each time I am stunned by how easy it is for me to fall for each and every character! This 5th book in the Dare Menage series had me invested from the minute Olivia met with her estranged brother Trey, needing protection after witnessing a murder. Elliott and Grant hide her at their home while working to solve the case. But once Grant and Eli were in the picture, it was pure magic With this story, it has a little different edge, Eli and Grant being married for 10 years, and not even realizing they would entertain a polyamory relationship. But with Olivia, the attraction is immediate and while hurdles of jealousy, their protective side is out and ready to keep her both safe and satisfied. I love these stories, not only about the sex, but contain real aspects of life in each relationship. With the crossover of characters from precious books, it gives the feeling of coming home. Keep them coming Jeanne St James!
Now for the narration. This team of Sean Crisden, Ava Lucas and JF Harding is phenomenal. Each having a POV for a character enables them to provide a specific spin on their personality and each narrator picks up on that and keeps the continuity flowing. It's not always an easy task, but these three have a chemistry that keep the characters consistent. And with this one, each had to perfect a French accent and French dialogue for Eli and his conversations. It's incredibly sexy, and it is total entertainment.
I have been waiting for this fifth book in the Dare Ménage Series and all I can say is it was worth the wait! Olivia has been on her own since she was a young teenager to escape her abominable home life leaving behind her older brother Trey. However, sixteen years later she finds herself in a bind and has nowhere to turn. She shows up at Trey’s law office in the hope that he can help her. Before meeting with Trey, she runs into Elliot (Eli) and there is an instant attraction. The problem is Eli is happily married to Grant. When Olivia finally pours out all of her problem, a plan is devised that entails her staying with Eli and Grant for an undetermined time. Grant has his reservations as he feels there is more to why Eli wants Olivia to stay with them. This does not sit well with Trey either but he has no choice as he is out voted. The more time that Olivia, Eli and Grant spend together the closer they become. Can Eli and the rest of them keep Olivia safe? Can Olivia learn to accept help from others? This is such a skillfully, well written story about learning to trust, accept help, finding love and some intrigue thrown in. There are some very steamy scenes that will burn you inside and out. If you have not read this series, I highly recommend it as each book seems to get better and better. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
This is the 5th in the Series of Dare Menage stories and they are all great! In Dare to Surrender Olivia appears in her brother's law firm in a state! She left home at 16 and has been on her own ever since, independant for 16 years, now working in a halfway house and living in a slum. Meanwhile her brother,Trey, has gone from high school to college football to the big league and even won a super bowl and his jurisprudence degree. She has seen the senator of her state murder a girl she has helped off the streets and that woman has given her evidence to hold. but now she has come without anything to her brother because she trusts no one. Eli, the firm's PI, has caught her at the door and refused to let her leave. When he takes her to the conference room, Trey recognizes her immediately! Eli volunteers to take her to his home for safekeeping with his husband Grant, a lawyer who works as an attorney for the firm. It isn't long until these two have brought her into their 10 year relationship. This book is about Grant and Eli working out whether and how to accept her into their lives permanently as they also keep her safe from the senator. Lots of action, love making, and conquering jealousy until the great ending!
Jeanne St. James is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine! She hasn't written a book that I haven't absolutely loved and I'm always looking for next new release to be available. She has a way of pulling you into a story and making you feel what the characters are feeling. Book five of the Dare Menage series does this as well. Olivia (Liv), Elliott (Eli), and Grant are so freaking hot!! The chemistry between the three of them is amazing.
As an established couple, Liv's appearance in Eli and Grant's life throws them for a loop. The attraction is there from the beginning, but the concern over the impact on their relationship is also there. I loved the vulnerability of the characters, especially Grant. His feelings, jealously, and doubt made their situation seem more real and believable. There was a little suspense and drama that added to their storyline as well. I was very happy with the ending. I love that we got to visit with a few couples from prevous books and am hopeful there will be more additions to this series in the future! *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
Grant and Eli, two souls entwined as one unit. Liv is a soul lost in a world where no one seems to care. When Liv witnesses a horrific crime, she runs to her brother who she hasn't seen since she was 16. Meeting the dynamic duo Grant and Eli, Liv finds herself being held in protective custody within their home and then their arms. Grant and Eli realize there is something about Liv that calls to their souls, aching to turn their powerful duo into an electrifying and thrilling triad. Can Liv let go of her independence enough to allow the alpha males into her life permanently? Will Grant and Eli get the chance to explore the possibility before the danger Liv has run from finds her? Jeanne St. James has a way of entrancing the reader from the get go. While listening to the luscious voice of Ava Lucas describe this hedonistic tale, I truly found myself embroiled in the story. St. James has a way of writing her stories so the reader vividly sees the characters and storyline. Such a talented author that has the reader begging for more! Seriously St. James, I'm on my knees begging for more! I reviewed this book honestly in exchange for a free audiobook.
Ok, I’ll be the first to admit that ménage stories aren’t something I go to, don’t necessarily dislike them, just not my favorite. That being said, I read this one because, are you kidding, it’s Jeanne St. James...Down & Dirty series...need I say more?! The woman could make a to do list interesting! This book was fabulous! Eli, Grant and Olivia are thrown together and then begin to fall for each other. There is intrigue and extremely hot sex and in the midst of all that genuine love and caring. I got so involved with this story and then realized that there’s a whole cast of side characters who have their own books so thanks, Ms. St. James, I now have to go and read all the stories that came before this one...pretty sure it won’t be a hardship. I was a fan before and continue to be a fan, this author has definitely broadened my reading horizons. Great book and highly recommend it, but I think you’ll want to go back and read the first four books too, yeah it’s that addictive. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Having read A Daring Desire, I looked forward to reading this book featuring Trey's long lost sister Olivia. I really enjoyed this book. Olivia has found herself in a horrible situation, desperate she seeks out her brother Trey for help. When Eli first encounters the apparently distraught woman, his reaction is inexplicably visceral. As Olivia shares how she landed in her predicament, there is no doubt she needs help. Eli brings Olivia into the home he shares with Grant his husband. Grant is at first hesitant, worried about Eli's reaction to Olivia. Time spent in close proximity brings the three closer.
The chemistry between Eli and Grant was incredible. When Olivia is invited into their union it is even better. The passion and emotions depicted were heartfelt. The book is an loving erotic portrayal of having that special someone or someones. While also touching on themes such as isolation, acceptance, and the need for support.
I recommend you read this book if you enjoy a well developed ménage romance.
This is my favorite book of this series so far. I simply adored Eli and Grant. They complement each other so well, and are so good for each other. Olivia has not had an easy life, and has been on her own for a very long time, making it on her own however she had to. She is quite independent, and hates asking for help. She isn't very good at it, or about it either! But she no longer has a choice. She needs her brother's help, and she goes to Trey's law firm to ask.
Eli is drawn to Olivia in a way he simply cannot explain and doesn't understand. But he feels he must protect her, even at the risk of his relationship with Grant. Their story is fast paced, with superb writing and amazing characters. Not to mention all of those emotions, incendiary passion, drama and intrigue. You better plan a good chunk of alone reading time because you aren't going to put this one down until you're done!
I love this series by Jeanne St James. The books do follow on from one another, but can definitely be read as standalones. This series is extremely sexy, but that isn't what makes me keep picking up every book that is released. Jeanne has a way of creating a world where the relationships are not your "normal" type, but you as the reader are in no doubt of the love between everyone involved. This one was a little bit different in that Grant & Eli are a married gay couple, and after meeting Liv Eli instantly felt a connection and wanted to explore that. Grant at first was a bit hesitant, but was in no way coerced into agreeing with Eli. He too felt an attraction to Liv. There is a great sub story that had me hooked. Plenty of suspense also. Another great book by Jeanne and I can't wait to read more from her. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book
Eli and Grant, so very happily married and loving each other. Liv seems to come out of nowhere and makes Eli start to wonder and want. Eli can't and won't do anything without Grant, and so they try and figure out what is happened and how they can still be as they were, and maybe with Liv along with them. Liv has come to her brothers law firm with nowhere else to go after witnessing something horrific. She ends up with Eli and Grant at their home for protection and it doesn't take long for the heat and tension to build. Each one of these characters show caring and insight, courage and fear while navigating the unknown. Its amazing to watch Jeanne St.James characters come to life, i swear they are standing all around me as I read.
The best book yet in this series, in my opinion. I love the love in the marriage and I love that the third person doesn’t and never tries to get between the two men and their love for one another and no one is trying to make another jealous by being with one without the other. Every decision that was made was made as a union.. it was just really nice to see a happy and healthy marriage blossom naturally into something more. It also surprised me that the MM sex didn’t freak me out but actually intrigued me and I could feel the love between the men(and the care for the female) throughout the story. I almost cried happy tears for this threesome at times and especially at their happy ending. Lovely story through and through. Definitely one of my favorites.

I love Jeanne’s books! Dare to Surrender was fantastic! This is Olivia, Eli and Grants story. Olivia has seen something that has put her in danger so she goes to her brother for help. She hasn’t seen him since she ran away at 16. Eli decides he will keep her at his house. Grant, his husband has misgivings but she has no place else. Their attraction for each other is great but Grant and Eli don’t want anything to come between their relationship. This book has action, suspense, drama, Love, overcoming jealousy and the coming together as a new family! I loved this book and can’t wait to read more from Jeanne!
This is one of my favorite genres. I especially love ménage books that have a great story line and i have followed the Dare series for awhile. It was nice to see old characters. Its can be read as a stand-alone book but why do that? Reading it along with the past books gives you such a great background. St james writes great books. Grant and Eli have a solid foundation they have been married for years. When Trey’s sister Olivia runs into problems there is an immediate connection. One they feel has to be explored. Its a hot hot book. I loved it. Its got drama and romance and hot scenes. I read this book voluntarily for an honest review. If you love ménage books you’ll love this. Enjoy!
I'll be honest, this one took me a minute to get in to. I even put it down and walked away because I just wasn't feeling it. But as soon as I came back to it, something clicked and I think it's my favorite of the series so far. In the previous 4 books, I found that I wasn't feeling as connected to the couples when there was already an established relationship between 2 of the leads, so I think that made me think this one would be the same. But something about this one was special, and it just worked. Can't wait to read the 6th book, and I'm still hoping to see a triad book for Gryf and Grays baby sister.
One more book on the series that absolutely rocks my world. Liv is running away from a criminal with political power. She comes back into her brother’s life who happens to be Trey. Since she comes to his place of work, there are some characters that come in to rescue her who wouldn’t have thought they would. Eli and Grant are a married couple who take Liv to safety. What happens is so hot and unexpected. I just love Ms St James writing. I can feel that I’m right there with the characters. I think this is my favorite in the series. Loved it!
I always enjoy a well-written ménage, and this one started out with a whirlwind of revelations. I loved the story, especially Trey reuniting with his long lost sister. The relationships between the main characters and Trey and his loves were intriguing and sexy, and you can feel the love between them. The intriguing aspect and Olivia's feisty character were engaging, and I found Eli and Grant one seriously hot couple! Adding Olivia into the mix made their trio even hotter! Great read and a wonderful addition to the Dare Ménage Series!
I absolutely loved this book, I couldn't put it down. Two sexy men, Elliot and Grant, have been together for years, when their commitment to each other is put to the test by one woman, Liv, when she comes into their lives with nowhere else to go. There is drama, two bossy men, a distressed damsel, SUPER HOT sex, and a little bit of insecurity. There are also a few appearances from other beloved characters from the Dare series. Yay!!
I really hope there is another book coming in this series.
I'm absolutely in love with this series!!! If you've read the rest of the Date Menage series, you know they're all connected, but all standalone novellas. The way the stories are crafted are interesting, and I lost myself in the story. Jeanne St. James never fails to deliver a great romance with tons of sexy time thrown in!
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review. Olivia witnessed a murder and is terrified for her life. She goes to her brother for help and meets Grant and Eli. She is attracted to them but realizes the are married, to each other. They volunteer to keep her safe and want to involve her in their relationship. this book is hot and I couldn't put it down. a true work of art.
I love this sexy series! The books do follow on from one another, but can definitely be read as standalones. This book was a little bit different, Grant and Eli are a married gay couple. And after meeting Liv, Eli instantly felt a connection and wanted to explore that further. Grant at first was a bit hesitant, but was not pressured into agreeing with Eli. He too felt an attraction to Liv. Also has plenty of suspense. 💋
Another great menage story! I liked these characters, too. They seemed to be a bit more honest with their feelings instead of "everything is perfect, I can love 2 other people with no problems." One of the characters spoke a lot of French, which was probably a challenge for the 3 narrators, but they did a great job!
I was provided audio review copies of the entire Dare Menage series (YES!) by the author in exchange for honest reviews. Thank you Jeanne St. James!
