Incredibly useful account of Kayla's chronic pain journey. I am so glad that I don't have to give up practicing yoga. There are a multitude of different ways to practice yoga in a trauma-informed way.
Reading this helped me to feel validated and hold onto the hope of recovery.
It helped me to release the shame of having an invisible chronic condition.
I could practice even with increased pain due to the new mindfulness I gained from this book.
Deceptively simple yet totally effective.
I felt 100% better emotionally when I show up to my practice now.

If you enact the actions suggested in this book you will certainly be on your way to fighting Fibromyalgia.

Kurin goes through meditation, mindfulness and yoga and how they can help us to live well. She also provides two practices- for morning and evening - that are just delicious.

short book. a decent place to start.

Not a bad book for a beginner or someone with limited yoga experience. The author seems sincere. Nothing in this book seems inappropriate. It’s pretty short.
