Sterling the Fox has been someone yummy I have wanted to read about, so I was excited to sit and devour this book. I liked the story because our pack is a very well-known pack full of goodness and willingness to help others yet not take any crap from others. They openly allow other species to live together in harmony.
Reana and her pack are a hot mess. Her pack Alpha was murdered essentially, and she is stuck in this oppressive world with no hope or prospects. When these new shifters show up, even though her fox is nipping at her to run and claim her male, Sterling, she won’t. She is afraid of the consequences for mating or loving another.
I enjoyed the story and the who and why of the evil in Reana’s pack. Sterling and his friends are bound and determined to help these people because they can TELL everything is not as it seems. The twists and turns plus the introduction of one of our favorite villains is great! The story between Sterling and Rea was great too. Sterling is an older, mature fox so he knows that Rea needs time and patience before she can and will accept his claim in her. The couple have a lot of issues to deal with to be together because she is not allowed to mate or suffer for going against her Alpha!!!
I soooo want to have a book on Wyatt and if I ant have his then can I please have one on Steven next. Those two males….heart is so interested in them. They are both males of extreme worth but so quiet.

Sterling the Fox shifter lost his mate and daughter when shifters came out and humans hunted them out of fear. He has excepted a life of loneliness. Sterling is seeing couples all around him and his Fox needs to wander, so when his alpha asks him if he wants to help Leo with a mission, he doesn't hesitate. Sterling doesn't realize how bad thing are until he meets Ricky, the other clans alpha, and meeting Reana just made them much worst.
This is a short story. I think it's a story of hope. It has shifters, and hope for a new life. It's well written with a HEA. I'll be watching for book 4.

I tired of shifter against shifter books, so it was refreshing to read something where they were trying to better the world for every type of animal. This is a sweet and sexy second chance romance with some adventure mixed it. It read great as a standalone and now I have to go back and read the rest of the series!

Yaaasssss! Love this!!!! I thoroughly enjoy the Black Mountain Pack series. Each book centers on a different shifter and Sterling got his shot! I love me some Sterling! One of the biggest things about his past is that he had a mate and she died. He is sort of in a slump with everything that has been going on with the pack and decides to take on a mission that takes him from his home and pack. Something is shady in another pack and there is a resistance that doesn’t want shifters mixing in packs. He and his crew go to infiltrate. Here is where we meet Rea. She is a waitress at a club but this club has got some serious restrictions. Low and behold she is a fox too!!!! And these two foxes want, no, they need each other. While Sterling and his group are in the middle of the turmoil of trying to find out what the issues are with this pack, Sterling is having a hard time keeping his mind off of Rea. Rea has had it ingrained in her that she can’t have a mate because leaving her pack will mean certain death. She tries and tries to maintain herself around Sterling but neither can help the undeniable pull. While they are orchestrating a strategy to take this shady pack down they have a budding relationship that is incredible to witness. The snarkiness that Miranda Lynn brings to the story along with all the action, and let us not forget the sexy time, really makes this story come to life. They are normal people who happen to be shifters. And they become the shifters that we love! Sterling is one of my favorites yet and I am looking forward to meeting the new members of the pack. Bravo, bring on the next one!

This is the third book in the Black Mountain Pack series and it is all about the Silver Fox Sterling. He loves the pack is now in there is something pulling him to run. Sterling knows it’s not for his mate because he had one and it is rare to be gifted with a second chance. He is asked to go see what is going on in a pack in Texas. Sterling quickly realizes he is not just there to help with the issue at hand but to protect Reana his mate.
Reana is stuck where she knows things are right but can do nothing to stop it until Sterling and his crew shows up. She is all for helping out but not willing to submit to being Sterling’s mate even if her fox disagrees. There is no way Reana can give into the matting with Sterling she is not willing to lose everything by breaking her packs rules. Reana lost her Alpha and her best friend she is not willing to lose any more.
The connection that Reana and Sterling have was captivating. Watching her struggle to keep her fox at bay and the banter those two had was entertaining. However, Sterling seemed to have the same issue with his fox. I enjoyed seeing a diverse group of shifters come together to accomplish a goal. I was surprised with what some of them were and what they could do. There are so many great shifters in this series and I want to learn all of their stories. I would love to hear what Steven’s story is he is not the big alpha of the group but his submissiveness is an asset in this story. Plus those quiet ones always have a way to my heart.

Enjoyable one
Sterling and Reana are a good couple. I liked that although their foxes recognized each other quickly, their human side was aware of the dangerous situation that needed to be handled first. Although it came close to flaring up too soon.
There were times when the language was more formal than it needed to be. When the guys were hanging out getting the lay of land, so to speak, they still didn’t use contractions. Just a minor annoyance though.
I haven’t read the rest of the series, but there is enough background to understand the dynamics.

If you love PNR/Fantasy, check this one out!
This was a very nice read with characters that could be your bff that live in a world that is definitely believable. I wouldn't mind meeting most of them in person. The storyline sucked you in and leaves you wanting to know what comes next while giving you your sweet HEA and updates on the HEAs of others. The only reason for the 4/5 rating is the typos that, for someone called "the grammar police" by her children, could be distracting at times. I highly recommend this to any shifter, magic, vampire lover!

I absolutely love this series! Each person in this pack, old and new, brings something different to the mix. Each talent is needed in its own unique way. The legend states a shifter has only one mate for life. Wait until you see how that works out!

I downloaded Sterling as a free ebook from Amazon. A great storyline, although I'll admit I had a hard time connecting to some of the protagonists (possibly they had more depth in prior stories, as this book is part of a series with shared characters?). Happily, I only caught a few typos that briefly caught my eye but didn't bother my enjoyment of the plot. I struggled with some of the PoV shifts which sometimes over-lapped rather than carry forward from the prior character's viewpoint-- this didn't always happen, but the some of the shifts when so far back in the prior scene it threw off my pacing with the story.

Reanna is in a damaging pack which is ruled by fear and something more.
When Sterling and his team are sent to try to fix the cracks in the other pack, he realises that Reanna is his mate. Danger, emotion, evil and magic stand in the way.

Three stories in two days...need I say more? Yes I do, I need Wyatt's story now. Such a wonderfully written world. I couldn't put this story down. I'm torn between Mack and Sterling as my favorites.
A great pace and the characters found their way through the ups and downs. Definitely give this series a shot. While you can read them out of order, I think reading them in order and watching the old characters pop in is more fun.

Various Shifters Work Together for Protection Purposes
Something is very wrong in Reana's pack. Sterling is sent with a group of shifters to fix what is wrong with said pack. Witches, vampires, and various shifter types are in this story. Some are evil and some are good. I liked the concept of various shifter types working together to overcome evil.

I really like this book. Sterling was a great looking sexy guy too bad he was just a book. I thought all of the characters were great. Would love to read more like this.
