Katrina flees the city and an awful fiance to find solitude at the cabin that her uncle left her. Little does she know that it has been occupied by Braun for the last couple of years. While a blizzard roars outside, things get hot inside the cabin.

Yeah, this book is pure smut, probably 80 of the 100 pages (I don't think I am exaggerating). It is just one of those books that you pick up when you want minimal non-romantic/sexual plot and just go with it. I did and since that is what I was expecting, I was NOT disappointed. Smut factor 5 out of 5. That Braun has a dirty mouth and knows how to use it!

OTT insta-lust. Hero sees heroine in the mountains and says mine! They get it on after warming up (it was snowy). Heroine was a city girl and wanted to visit her uncle’s cabin
Got some j/p moment when hero sees the heroine’s ring and heroine explains she broke it off. Also heroine’s dad and fiance came looking for her.

This was a quick read with lots of hot scenes. I really loved Braun's character and how masculine and rugged he was. He went for what he wanted and didnt take no for an answer, in a good way. Katrina was a rich city girl being arranged to marry Paul. Who in my opinion is the biggest douche I have ever read about. When she finally has had enough she runs for refuged in a place she has kept hidden from her family, her uncle's cabin that was left to her. Well this would have all been great if Braun hadn't been staying in the cabin lol The two meet and lets just say it is almost instant fireworks. When her family comes looking for her, including the asshole Paul himself, we have to wait and see what she decides to do. Either go back home with her father or stay with Braun, the man she just met.

I’m just going to start that there is zero story. One minute Katrina is running away from her rich life, next she thinks a crazy mountain man is attacking her, then there is sex where it mentions repeatedly his hard cock (we get it ), then the heart wants what the heart wants... the end. I’m will not be reading the next book in the series.

This book made me super stabby!
Growly mountain man with a big cock (of course) meets prim and proper city girl and claims her (eye-rolls) within minutes of meeting her. Then he claimed her over, and over and overrrrrrrrrr again.
It was just a great big fuckfest with zero storyline progression.

This was the quickest insta love story I have read so far but...Surprisingly it wasn't so bad! Totally out of the ordinary, unrealistic story but romantic and lovey-dovey type of read.

“Couldn’t keep me away with an army, kitten.” “No?” “Not a chance. Nothing in this world could keep me from you.” “Well, except an avalanche.” She stuck her tongue out at me teasingly. “Hey, that only slowed me down. And barely.”

There were layers that reader just want to pick up at and try to go inside and explore. I wished we knew more about Braun's past, to be honest I am not even sure we know what's his surname? All we know is that he has been in the cabin for a year and served 4 tours in Afghanistan and did some renovations to the house. We don't know the ages of any of the characters and maybe this is a reason why I'm leaving only 3 stars. I understand it's a novella and we don't need to know everything but I really feel like I'm left uneducated.

Writing was skillful and easy to follow so this author lands onto my list 'to read authors' and I cannot wait to see what else is there.

When an ex-marine and a wealthy city girl escape a blizzard inside an old hunting cabin, sparks fly as well as enough heat to melt snow! Throw one douche bag ex-fiancé into the mix and this “Semper fi” ex-marine goes “Oorah!” on all involved.

100% pure ridiculousness, but since the descriptions of some of the later books in the series had me laughing out loud, I had to pick it up (and put the rest on hold from my library). Nothing about this is the tiniest bit rational, but the whole thing took about 20 minutes to read, and it was fun.

This is a quick read by Madison Faye. I love her stories and this one is no different, although it is shorter than her normal books. But if you like a great smut book this is it. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.💕💞

It would have been better had every other sentence NOT ended with "He Growled" or "I groaned". I mean he growled everything! I couldn't enjoy the steamy scenes because of the ridiculous amount of times I had to read the word growled it was relentless and I gave up on chapter 11. There are only 13 chapters so I didn't read how the story ended, but I wasn't that interested in finding out.

The story itself is the usual mountain alpha troupe minus the fact that the guy wasn't a bear or wolf shifter. I didn't read the ending but I already know the story went something like this...
Girl is engaged or in a relationship with an asshole.
Girl runs from asshole.
Girl somehow ends up at a cabin in the mountains
Alpha guy is also on the mountain and claims girl as his own
Lots of steamy smut scenes
Alpha guy does what alphas do and saves girl from asshole
They live Happily Ever After
Epilogue More Sex and Babies

Let's be honest with ourselves and admit that the only reason we keep reading new books with the same troupe is because of those steamy sex scenes. So when the best part of the story can't be enjoyed because the author uses the word growling to the point of insanity it ruins the whole book.

Also, I never want to read a vagina being described as a drooling slit with sticky lips!!! Meanwhile, his member was described many times as a huge beautiful cock. WTF!? How come the girl gets a drooling slit and the guy gets a big beautiful cock? I mean I hate it when they use flowery terms to describe a vagina but I also don't want to own a drooling slit, isn't there some happy medium here?

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Braun and Katrina. Katrina is a rich girl that doesn't want what it means to live her own life. So when her Uncle leaves her his cabin she knows this will be the one thing that will give her a really chance at her own life. So when she leaves the man that he parents choose for her to marry at the restaurant with their parents and wine all over himself she finally feels free. After almost getting to the cabin though she wonders if she has made a mistake. Will the weather be what beats her or will she finally start her new life?

Braun was looking for a new life after leaving the military. After talking with Stan while he was building hospitals in Afghanistan he thinks he might just have a chance. However a year after he moved into the cabin someone is on his mountain as he puts it he wonders what has come for him. His first look at Katrina has him wanting to claim her as his. His first touch of her demands that he make her his. Can he really keep the woman who has wondered onto his mountain?

Holy hotness is this book good. This book shows us that even though it seems like life is against you there is sometimes something amazing waiting for you. There is so much I want to tell you about this book but don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

This book went by pretty quickly. In Claiming His Mountain Bride you will meet Katrina and Braun. Now they meet in an unusual way - up on a mountain. Where they both lay claim to a cabin.. even though it actually is one of theirs. The romance was very insta-love and everything just kind of was shoved in my face. Now, I love smut in books but this was like way up in my face too quickly to enjoy it.

Katrina is sort of engaged in this book to a douche named Paul. They get in fight which leads to her walking out on him.. but it also doesn't hurt that he cheated on her. Then her bright idea of stealing his car to go up to her favorite cabin during a little snow fall.. was actually terrible. However, she did end up meeting Braun and falling in love with him pretty quickly.

Now same goes for Braun. He's a brute and claimed this mountain like damn donkey kong. He's also already claiming her as his. While in the cabin together, they get right to the nitty gritty - and again, they fall in love.

I hate insta-anything.. so this was just meh in my eyes. I kind of wish I got an actual story before the smut but I'll get what I can at this point. I'm obviously going to continue on with this series because the books are so freaking short. Plus, I just happen to love Madison Faye and some of her books.

To her surprise, a mountain man claims her body and soul with the scorching-hot fierceness of his touch. While the plot is caveman-like and the story is mostly rowdy frolicking in a cabin, this little romance works its magic to chase boring thoughts away and set the body on fire. It comes with an obsessed alpha male who takes his woman for himself and lever lets her go. Fortunately, she's all in with this nature-loving lifestyle and has her own mind. It doesn't hurt that the love action next to the fireplace is worth every primitive hazard.

I especially liked the beginning where Katrina makes the bold decision to brave the elements and drive to the mountain, and the epilogue which shows their future together. Winter has never been hotter.

This was soooo painful. I dnf’d 57% of the way through. I was into it for the first 20% and then it just fell after that. I was recommended this from my manager at work actually so I gave it a try. Now I’m used to Alexa Riley’s fast paced smut but this just annoyed the hell out of me. I don’t mind sex or even dirty sex but this was torture, for my eyes. First off he called her kitten, which irked me because ew no and he literally said it in every sentence. Like get a new word sir. I have read the lux series by JLA so I was thinking of Kat and Daemon the whole time from that series and just no. Also if the main guy said he was “cumming” in his kitten one more time I think I might through my kindle out a window. It’s just cringedy and I rolled my eyes the whole time and I didn’t even finish it. This doesn’t mean the author is a bad writer it just means this was so not for me. If your just looking for a short book that is basically porn with no plot and an alpha male that is annoying with his pet names than give this a try!

Until now I have liked most of Madison her books. But this one was just a bit too much. In a sense that it was só over the top it just wasn't gripping me as much as I would like for a story to.
Yes, the sex was very hot and steamy (literally ;)), but the storyline itself was totally unbelievable. If that doesn't matter to you, you will maybe like it just fine.
2 stars because if I just kept in mind that the story was only to have a reason to put in the sex, and not something to make it believable, it was okay.

This was a very quick read of just pure vanilla sex if your looking for a story line this ain't it.
It was mediocre at best lacked substance didn't have anything much to it. Braun sees her for the first time and instantly labels katrina as his.katrina is running from a cheating fiance and goes to the woods where she's at peace. That's where she meets Braun he's attracted to her and wants her once he has sex with her and wants her to have his kids instantly. Pretty much summed it up

Braun says the sweetest things, "...You’re mine now, sweetness, and no one is going to take you away from me.” I really liked this book, it was a quick, enjoyable read.
