Unravel the mystery in the second hair-raising instalment of the Phantom Chronicles!
Wow! Book 2, Phantom Hunter is every bit as awesome as Book 1 was. Chloe and Ragan are in for a wild and dangerous journey in this book. I loved every minute of it. If you like fantasy/science fiction, I highly recommend this series. Best to read Book 1 first, The Last Phantom.
Phantom hunter is the second book in the phantom saga. The series is set in a sci-fi/fantasy world, where the United States of America has been separated into 4 different countries. In this second book we follow the new adventures of our protagonists Regan and Phantom, as they try to get hold of the stolen data. This is also a good book, but the focus is a lot on the developing relationship between Regan and Phantom. It focuses less on the protagonists ability to handle every situation with flair, something I hope we get to see more of, in the next book. We see more of Regans leadership abilities and less of the phantom as she follows her heat and let Regan take the lead. This leads to a lot of conflicts as the story progresses. I really liked this one too, but hope that phantom learns from her experiences and go back to her more forceful role in the next book. As last time, the narrator is great. He is great at changing his voice to separate the dialogues between the different character. I bought the ebook, but got the audio book for free. Since I liked the book, I am leaving a voluntary review.
Phantom Hunter, the second book in the Phantom Chronicles, is cleverly written sci-fi fantasy. The storyline is rich in detail, super engaging, entertaining, and adventurous; it definitely grips you and doesn't let go. The characters are phenomenally developed. I found them wholly intriguing, and I really enjoyed their dynamic. Their interactions and the dialogue were natural and not forced. The world-building is incredible, providing the right amount of details with excellent imagery. I'm definitely a fan of the series and look forward to the next book.
Justin Vitovsky's narration was spot on. He did an excellent job portraying each character and the nuances of their individual personalities. Overall, Phantom Hunter was a fantastic listen; I was totally entertained and will strongly recommend the audiobook.
This is a fine continuation of a great series, a bit predictable, nothing amazing, but good entertainment. This series reminds me of just why I started following Toby's writing. It is astounding to me that he can crank out such well plotted stories, adequately edited in such a quick repetition, all without being formulaic or stale. He claims to write in final draft and to use a very well trained dragon. Whatever his method I am in awe. Even though I am often a rather harsh critic when I believe that he has missed a mark. Very well done Toby.
So in this installment we see Chloe team up with Ragan and new characters Tanner and Nadia. On a mission to track down Mikel and the data disk.
I really enjoyed this book, things escalalted quickly and the events took me on a roller coaster. I loved seeing something more blossom between Chloe and Ragan, and I enjoyed the flirty banter that Tanner brings with him and the chemistry of all the characters is just on fire.
I can't wait to find out what happens next. Another excellent book by Edge.
Fast paced and full of twists and turns this book keeps you guessing. Chloe continues to be protected yet she is usually the one saving them. The team find themselves cornered and only have one move left but will they be outmanouvered after all? I am looking forward to finding out.
My review is based on the audiobook. Book 2 continues this fast paced action packed thrill ride of an adventure. I love the world the author created for the series and am totally invested in the characters. The narrator did a wonderful job at bringing the story and characters to life. I can;t wait to find out what happens next
I can definitely see simularities to other of the author's writing. But this world is very different.
I am beginning to see how characters are growing. But many things are still in motion. So the only way to know what path things will take is to read on.
I am loving the series. I don’t have book 3, but I definitely need to see about getting it.I love Chloe and Reagan and their connection. Even the evil nanovamp is a cool character. Love to hate him. This book is clean and would be good for teens and adults. Narration by Justin Vitovsky was excellent. I received this box in exchange for an honest review.
This story line may have been a little on the predictable but it was extremely enjoyable. The spark between the team is just so strong can't wait to find out what happens next.
Okay this book was amazing. Full of adventure and twists. Some twists I seen coming, others surprised me. The mess that Chloe, Ragan & their 2 new partners has gotten into is interesting. Book 3 here I come!
