I would applaud this book, but as you can see, I have some spanking to do!

I have a weakness for office romances. And Hunter Frost writes such a good one! This is somehow both kinky and just freaking charming. A bit dirty and yet sweet.

I am completely stoked for Tied Up by the Boss, book two in the series. And it looks like this time it's about Morgan. Hooray!!!!! :D

I maybe have to reread Delivery or Destiny to tide myself over until March. *sob*

That, and watch this gif.

Charlie Reynolds is the new guy at NetSmash, a marketing research firm, but though he might be fresh out of college, he’s already thirty-five years old. He went to prison for a foolish loss of temper that led to an assault charge when he was young and he’s determined to become a better man now. Always conscious of people’s perceptions of ex-cons, Charlie hesitates to reveal that he’s not the janitor when he’s caught using the executive suite restroom during the company Halloween party. Then again, his janitor costume, sporting the nickname he used when he worked his way through college as a janitor, would lead anyone to believe it true—including the CEO, the incredibly handsome Trent Davis.

Once caught, the attraction sparks fly, and before he knows it, the CEO is bent over with his pants down and Charlie behind him “spanking the boss.” This is a fun romance between two unlikely lovers—the new guy, Charlie, not long out of prison, recent college grad, and highly ambitious junior account manager—and Trent, gorgeous, smart, driven young exec who never gives up control to others. It was pure pleasure to watch the way Charlie, in his guise as Chaz the janitor, takes charge of Trent for a full night of kinky pleasure. When morning comes, as the two parted, I was rooting for more interaction between them, and though it took awhile to overcome some—many!—obstacles, the author brought us to a very satisfying ending with a happy ever after in their future.

I was impressed with the character development for such a short story—and not just the main characters—the secondary characters as well. We have everything from female bestie, to nasty VP boss, and a sexy, envious VP who could potentially make a play for the exec job someday. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series, and since the author identified the characters who will get the next romance, I’m hoping for a super-fun enemies-to-lovers story.

Highly recommend.

This story and I started off a bit on the wrong foot. We're told the CEO bossman has a reputation of being controlling, but honestly I never saw that character trait of his on page. So the scene where the two MCs first meet, and what ensued, didn't feel believable to me. The story of a forbidden office romance somewhat improved on me as it progressed, and had both cute and steamy interactions. Short and sweet entertainment for the moment, and quickly forgotten afterwards.

Hot premise, goofy execution. I find it hard to buy into a scene where characters are crying out "Chaz!" in the throes of passion.

Nice quick, sexy read from Hunter Frost. This is my first time reading this author.

Ex-con Charlie (Chaz) Reynolds has started at NetSmash and on Halloween he meets the elusive CEO Trent Davis and kinky sparks fly.

“You broke me open and made yourself at home without even trying”

This was a pretty erotic, fun and quick read.

When CEO Trent Davis mistakes Charlie Reynolds for the janitor, asking him to clean up his coffee mess they both feel the sexual tension and attraction, hook up and have a exiting night of scorching hot sex .

Realising he can not proceed having sex with his CEO, Charlie decides it is for the best to cut all ties. After all Charlie is convinced “I hated not calling you, but I feared you’d not only want nothing to do with me, but that you’d fire me to protect yourself.”

“We’ll make it work.”

Charlie spent five years in prison. (We don't see much about that, it was kind of a side note.) He finally has a job he likes, and wants to prove himself. Also, it would be wise to stay out of trouble. You know, criminal record and all.

The firm he's working for throws a Halloween party, and Charlie is dressed as a janitor. His co-workers suggest, they should go up to the penthouse floor to use the bathroom there. That's where he bumps into the CEO, who's working late, and mistakenly thinks Charlie is a real janitor. He asks Charlie to go into his office, and mop up some spilled coffee. Charlie, scared he's going to lose his job, goes along with the whole thing.

Trent, the CEO is a commanding man in the boardroom. But in the bedroom, he needs someone to take over the reins. And that night he gets the experience of his life, when Chaz, the janitor shows him a really good time. Twice!! ;P

“This time we do it slow and deep.” He nipped at my ear. “I want to stroke your insides until I find every spot that makes you shudder, torturing them with my cock until you’re begging me to come.”

Filled with steamy and kinky sex scenes, this book made me want to go out to find a hot guy and devour him, and then ask for my punishment. XD

Proceed with caution and enjoy!

This was a fun, quick and hot office romance. I love a good office romance and although I wish this was a bit longer I really enjoyed the story. I liked Charlie and the fact that he had turned his life around and was working hard to reach his goals. I thought the whole part of his boss (Trevor) mistaking him for a janitor at the Halloween party was really cute and realistic. I could completely understand why Charlie lets him think that and the fact that things get complicated made perfect sense and I could see how Charlie's fears kept him from pursuing anything with Trevor. I also really liked Trevor and felt for him when he realized he wasn't going to hear from Charlie again. Of course the two are bound to run into each other again and the sparks are still there.

This wrapped up with a sweet HFN and I enjoyed both characters and hope we get to see more of them in future books. I would have like to see how they manage their relationship once they decide to try.

A copy of this book was provided to me by the author with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

With such title, I had an inkling about what I would get ^^. A young CEO and a junior analyst, a case of mistaken identity, and quite hot kinky scene thrown between them.

I like Hunter Frost's writing -- I read some of her books before -- and I found this novella quite enjoyable. It was light on angst too. So yep, quick fun romp with a promising HFN (hey, Trent and Charlie need to figure out how to navigate this boss and employee situation, right??)

The sequel with Morgan and Parker will be released in April. I like the blurb as well :). So I'm looking forward to that one.

I really like this story. Charlie has worked hard to get his life back on track and when his boss mistakes him for the janitor during their company Halloween party he isn’t sure what to do. He figures going along with it will allow him get out unscathed but it gets much more complicated and his fear keeps him from pursuing anything more.

I loved seeing Trevor let go enough to relax but I hurt for him when he didn’t get called that night or the next. I don’t think he has ever allowed anyone to get as close to him as he allowed Charlie. When they end up in the same meeting both of them fear the worst. I was glad that Charlie ended up putting himself out there so that they could clear the air. I only wish there would have been more of them making a go at their relationship but I’m hoping we get the chance to see them a little in future stories.

The cover art by James @ GoOnWrite.com is nice and works well for this series.

I really enjoyed this book. It wasn’t the most perfect story, or even novella, but it was good and very enjoyable. I think I would have loved it if it had been longer. More pages would have allowed for the author to dive deeper into the characters, and I found the resolution to be a little too quick and easy. It’s also insta-love, but it’s a novella so I can excuse that. A lot of that story is one sex scene, and phew! That was hot. Hot and sexy. It spreads over several chapters and yet it never felt too long to me. I loved how it played out and being able to read both side of that scene. Because the author spread it over several chapters, it allowed her to show it from both characters perspective, which was nice since it’s control play. And spanking. Really hot spanking.

In the end, don’t except too much from this book, but I found it entertaining. Hot sex, endearing characters, a nice and hopeful ending and fun side characters. It is a novella, keep that in mind, but it’s a good one.

Charlie wants to turn his life around getting out of prison. He has a new job, a job he has always wanted, and he doesn't want to jeopardize it. When he's caught in his boss' office wearing a janitor's costume, at a Halloween party, he goes along with Trent's assumption that he's a janitor.

Charlie realizes Trent needs someone to hand over control to. The two have a pretty hot spanking scene, and before the night is over, they both realize that this is not just a one night stand.

There's a little misunderstanding, but it's not angsty. The ending was sweet, but I wish it was a little longer! I can't wait to read Parker and Morgan's story next!

I read this book as part of an arc program. I really enjoyed the story between Trent, the workaholic CEO and Charlie, the new analyst. Charlie is starting over after making mistakes in his youth and when the opportunity arises to explore the top executive floor during the company Halloween party, Charlie decides he wants to hang around and imagine where he could one day end up. Charlie is dressed as a janitor for the party and when Trent sees him and asks him to clean up a mess, Charlie can either play along and clean the mess, or come clean and tell the truth and risk getting fired. Charlie has had a crush on Trent since he read an article about him and considers him to be his idol. Trent is attracted to Charlie and when Charlie comes to clean the mess, and calls Trent out for being a workaholic and becomes dominate with him, Trent surrenders and releases control to Charlie. This was a quick, steamy read that will leave you wanting more from them. I really loved how they both wanted more but were scared. Charlie was so dominate, it was so good for Trent. They had great chemistry. I can't wait to read more in this series.

A short but great read!
Charlie is living life as a free man, out of prison and now with a degree in marketing. He's not really enjoying the office halloween party and goes up to the executive floor. Here he's found by his CEO, Trent Davis.
Things don't feel that rushed
Trent is the youngest CEO and got there through hard work and attention to detail. Some might say controlling. When he finds "Chaz" in the executive toilets and mistakes him for the janitor, it leads to a night that changes both of them.
Though short, this book is really well written, I really enjoyed it! We don't get a mass of detail or history on the characters but enough to make a good story. They're not immediately declaring undying love for each other but you can feel a connection between the two. Both MC's have supportive friends and help them through tough times. The office setting works really well for the placement and goings on for the MC's and team. Looking forward to what you can imagine coming between Morgan and Parker in book 2
Would definitely recommend this book

This short sweet book packed a powerful amount of heat. I loved that the 2 MCs were so very likeable. Charlie is a week into his job as Junior Research Analyst when he’s invited to attend a company costume party with two of his friends/coworkers. After they decide to skip the long bathroom lines at the party and use the off limit corporate restroom, Charlie decides to leave his friends to scope out the fancy offices and dream of what could be. He doesn’t realize that he’s not alone when Trent, the CEO appears looking for a towel to wipe up some spilled coffee. Since Charlie came as a janitor to the costume party, Trent asks Charlie to clean up his mess. And this is just the beginning of the story. The CEO and the “janitor”. Two opposites. Sparks aplenty. But it’s what happened after this encounter that melted my heart. I recommend this book to those who love romance. I’m a sucker for it every time.

Un libro bastante cortito, about a man who wants to climb in his job, y con sus dos coworkers deciden ir al ala donde solo los jefes pueden entrar. Our protagonist (Charlie) es descubierto por el CEO, sin embargo by a mistake the boss think he's a janitor.

I didn’t know it’s a series. I’m about to hop on the second book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read, started out a bit slow and a tad boring but once out MCs met, and it didn’t take long, sparks were flying and not a second after was wasted as they “got to know each other”.

I love that it wasn’t shy about being romantic and that not a lot time was wasted on unnecessary fights and long-winded misunderstandings. But, I guess that’s also because it was a novella so things had to be sped up.

Overall, love the hopeful realism, love the hopeless romance, love the ending, love the characters (love me some capable men in suits).

Wouldn’t have minded if the story was longer and gave more insight into their separate lives, but it was still really good so no biggie.

I would love to hear more on Morgan and Parker though…
But then again, I might have read that ship wrong.
It’s a 5 out of 5 for me.

☺️❤️🫃🏼

Spanking the Boss is a hot office romance about CEO Trent who accidentally meets Charlie, one of his employees, but who is disguised as the janitor as it is Halloween. The accidental and very hot encounter is a prelude to something more and lasting. At least, if the two men get over their fears.
It is a well-written novella that is more than steaming scenes, although they are plentiful. I always want to feel the connection between the two characters, especially when it is instalust, which is the case here. The author did a great job delivering just that. Two men at opposite sites, but they really fell for each other. Trent doesn’t care that Charlie is the janitor. That is a sign of a good heart. And as for Charlie? So what if Trent is the CEO? He likes him that’s what matters. And they are good for each other. Charlie can give Trent what he didn’t know he needed.

This is a short, hot and entertaining read that I really enjoyed. It is well-written and all of the characters were interesting. Charlie and Trent are instantly attracted to each other when they meet and have a wild and kinky night together. Unfortunately Charlie did not tell Trent his real name or that he works for his company and not as the janitor he was dressed as for Halloween. He has turned his life around and is scared that he will lose his job if Trent finds out who he really is. I loved this story until the end when I was left hanging and did not get the HEA I wanted, instead it was a HFN. I wish the book had been longer and there was more time spent on Charlie and Trent's relationship. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
I was given an ARC to review by the author.

Format: Paperback
🔥👬This is a fun office romp that packs plenty of 🔥heat, with a case of mistaken identity that keeps new man in the office Charlie and CEO Trent apart after a totally sizzling encounter in the executive suites on the night of the office 👺 Halloween party. It's fairly short and well-written, and Charlie, the employee, has good reason to fear repercussions. But then, so might Trent! The pages flew by. I wish it had been longer, but it did have a satisfying (and naughty!) ending! I will be looking forward to reading more by this author.:-) 👍👍

Charlie is new at the company, and within one week they have a huge office Halloween party. While using the big corporate bathrooms, he runs into the CEO-Trent. Trent thinks Charlie is the janitor, so asks him to clean something up, but then it leads to them having a strong attraction and long kinky night in the office. Of course, Trent doesn't know who Charlie really is, and Charlie is afraid to tell him. Luckily we see everything work out, even if it does seem a bit too easy at the end, but it was worth it. There was definite well written chemistry between Charlie and Trent, and I really enjoyed this.

Sizzling chemistry leads to discovery of a matching need. Loved this short story about two MC's who are vastly different from appearance to lifestyle, however they offer exactly what they need to each other. Charlie and Trent's connection steamed up my kindle and me. Love this authors ability to tell about a hot intimate connection.

The author quickly pulls us into liking and identifying with each of the MC's as she introduces them to the reader. We learn their fantasies and their hearts and we want them to find a way to each other.

Short but fulfilling story that makes you want to reach for the next book in the series, instead of having to wait. Terrific read that you will enjoy!

This was a really fun story. At first glance it seems like “no way, this isn’t realistic “, but you know that’s what made it so much fun. Uptight sexy boss becomes enamored with an employee after a chance sexual meeting. Their one night of passion was phenomenal and unforgettable for both of them and quite racey for us readers. Told in such a way that it’s exciting and imaginable and definitely steamy. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, their personalities and their chemistry. Loved the fact that after one night together they both knew they had something special. Loved seeing their HEA. A terrific start to this series. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

I had so much enjoyment reading this story. I laughed at the coffee cleanup with the double entendres and I could picture Chaz and Trent having their conversation while the air is tight with hope and sexual heat. This fast paced really enjoyable read lives up to my expectations of a Hunter Frost book. Intense longing, fear of discovery, letting someone know the real you....oh my this book is it.

If you can suspend disbelief that a powerful CEO would let the 'janitor' do all that Charlie does upon just meeting Trent, then this is a cute, hot, kinky novella. I really enjoyed it and wished that it was longer. I think it would make a great full-length novel. I plan on reading book 2, but it focuses on a new couple instead of delving more into the romance between Trent and Charlie.

Wow. I have to say, anything with a tie on the cover makes me uneasy. But this, this was an amazing little novella. And I’m just going to say it, hands down, some of the steamiest sex I’ve read. It isn't bad, it's just not good. Very insta love and no real sense of reality about anything. Plus, the way Charlie's prison time was presented and used made me uncomfortable. But, if you're just looking to kill a little time, and want to read a brief scene of a CEO getting spanked then this'll do ya.
