Steal You

Rate this book
I was a good girl.
Until you made me love you.
You trained me to be your pretty little bird, my feathers spreading under your attention and praise.
You promised you’d leave her.
Swore it was me you wanted more than life.
But then you broke my wings and silenced my song, and you became my obsession.
I’ve spent years trying to figure out a way to change your mind, to win back your heart.
But in this moment of desperation, my mind leaves me.
And I’ll just
Steal you instead.

Surely a fertility doctor would never steal a semen analysis sample for herself?

Steal You is a dark erotic romance full of suspense, depicting a twisted love affair between a professor and his student. They have an obsessive, almost scary kind of love, one that could get them both hurt... and maybe even killed.

i only loved this for the moments like the ones below,

〝I wouldn't leave you. I would be ripped from you—in cuffs.〞

𓈓

Lizith isn't a woman you start something with and then slowly weed out when you get bored. You don't get tired of Lizith; you fucking chase her to the ends of the earth and then hope, fucking pray, that she keeps you. Because if she let me go, I would not just chase. I would crawl on burning ash and bleed for her. Bleed for her to take me back.
The keeper is kept by his little bird.

𓈓

〝I am not a man of many words and hearts and flowers, but know that you are the most precious thing in my life.〞

i just wish there were more moments like those, that’s all.

I love dark, taboo and twisted reads so this looked perfect. Unfortunately, the execution of the story wasn’t there. I wanted to be fair in my review so I finished even though I wanted to DNF after the first couple chapters.

The basic plot was good, but the writing style wanted to make me gouge my eyes out. I know my opinion will not be popular, but I think less is more and the endless ‘little bird’ (used 128 times), ‘my love’ and ‘my keeper’ were making me nauseous. There was also the talk where she calms herself down by reciting dull medical facts. And lastly the overly verbose style that seemed determined to either increase word count unnecessarily or to spin the reader in so many circles that they couldn’t follow the plot.

Here are a few sample quotes, that don’t spoil the plot but show the writing style that was used....

"Have your ass bare and face up when I get there.” – Since when is your behind face up?

“But in the time since I've first taken her innocence, her adoration and love for me grew and she molded herself into the perfect woman that I dreamed of since I knew what wanting someone was." – Say what? I’m not even sure what Xander is trying to say.

"I'll be there shortly. Leave a key under the mat in case you fall asleep. Lock the door, baby. I don't want anyone getting to you before I do." – Yes, because leaving a key under the mat would ensure no one can unlock her door.

So overall this was a painful read and one that I can’t recommend. My biggest pet peeve is anything that makes the story overly complicated and this book did just that.

"Two dark souls, twisted and alike, somehow created something innocent and haloed in light. Lizith and I were fated, created by the dark and not the light. We were the things you run from in the shadows. I am hers and she is mine, never to part and always intertwined. She stole me like I stole her soul, and we will never give each other back.."
4 stars.
This wasn't the usual student teacher book we normally read, mainly because the plot wasn't focused on the class or the relationship bitween them both at this time.
But after she graduated, and nun the less, it didn't make the story less enjoyable, it was really good to read a new kind of that which definitely was amazing. The darkness wasn't a lot in the book, and I can really recommend it if any one is new to dark romance.
Loved it

Crazy, dark, suspenseful books are my absolute favorite to read. I don't think I've ever read a crazier, darker or more suspenseful book than Steal You, and I loved every minute of this insane ride.

"You know, if this were a story, we would be the bad guys, the ones you should despise."

Reading this book, you really feel like you should hate Lizith and Xander, but my God are they meant for each other and perfect together in every way. If you like twisted books, read this one immediately. Enjoy every minute of this craziness and hold on tight!

I thought for this review, I would do something a wee bit different. You're going to see a massive amount of reviews about how brilliant Steal You was. It was truly brilliant. I finished the book in one evening. I COULD NOT put the book down. That being said, I thought I would give you, the reader, some tips and suggestions on how to get the most out of this book.

1. Make sure you are reading this book at home or somewhere where you don't care if people hear you screaming the following - "Seriously?" "Oh my god!" "Are you freaking kidding me?" "I've got the vapors!" (screaming or even silent screaming at the local book store or at the local bounce house watching the kiddos won't give you the best looks.)

2. If you are in a committed relationship, dating or friend with benefit, warn this person that you have been warned by this reviewer that it's basically a foregone conclusion that they will be getting lucky either after you're done or even possibly in the middle of reading Steal You, so they may want to stretch and prepare.

3. If you are not in one of the categories in #2, make sure your favorite sex toy has fully charged batteries. No shame. Seriously.

Steal You was written by two women. You wouldn't know it by reading it. I think at some point they started sharing one brain. All you need to know is you just took a freaking sexy drive through crazy town. You'll need a whiskey and a "happy ending" after the ending of this one.

5++ STARS!

Talk about being obsessed!!! So i was planning to re read Number Neighbor but was glad that i explored her other works and found this 😌

Steal You is an insane yet beautiful love story between Lizith and Xander. It starts off with the professor/student relationship but their love progresses into something darker, psychotic, twisted and.. erotic. In Xander's eye, Lizith was the perfect submissive. She was his Little Bird and he's the Keeper. Sadly, their relationship wasn't as straightforward and he eventually left her one day.

Lizith had devoted 8 years of her life to get Xander back. Determined that he's the one, Lizith had it all planned when they finally meet again. Apparently, stealing his sperm happens to be part of her plan too 😳

The plot is really REALLY unique and there's a nice balance of crazy & sweet. The dominant & submissive personalities of both characters are nicely portrayed as well! But most importantly, the obsession part DID NOT disappoint.

"The second he comes, he howls into the empty room. “Your blood is now mine as mine is yours. I will love you without boundaries and I will own every part of you. You are my obsession.”

It's a wild ride from start till end, bringing the word Obsession to another level. Highly recommended and a definite 5 stars!!

Ohhhhhhhh EM Squeeeeeeeee. THIS BOOK.
Review to come. Not that kind, lol.

Gahhhhhh DAMN. This book, y'all. This fucking book.
It's been, what? Like two weeks since I've read it and it's still fresh as a delicious slice of pineapple.
Let's break it down in a non-telly way. Like, the best kind of way, where I drool or slobber about how amazing this book is with nonsensical terms and blabber, or use run-on sentences that seem to never end. Or whatever, because it floats my Cassie boat. Y'all seem to like it anyway. *shrugs*

This book was everything. It was crazy, insane, sexy AF, insane, insane, crazy, saucy, and swoon worthy, did I mention insane? Because there were times where my heart stopped. I really think it did, it just stilled in my chest at some of the fucked up things that occurred, but I loved every second of it. All the craziness included. In a way, we all want this kind of need. It's obsessive, impulsive, and scary at times, but it's knowing you're needed, absolutely loved and adored, that makes you want to risk every fiber of your being to have what these two have.

I nod, my airways seemingly restricted from the awareness of my love for this man, not just from his unshakable grip. I am choking on my obsession and wringed lifeless by my insanity. The insanity this man caused. <---Fucking loved this part BTW.

Bird/Lizith this woman was fucking nuts. Like, batshit crazy would be understating it. But the good kind. There is a good kind, right? Yes, let's go with that. She's fierce AF. If I were crazy, I'd want to be Lizith-kind-of-crazy.

"For you, my love. I would do it again and again if it meant I could give you what you've always wanted. What we have always wanted. I'd do it again, and much more. Whatever it takes," I vow, and my breath catches in my throat as he leans down, pressing his lips to the mark.

You see, she did everything, and I mean everything for this man and their love. Sometimes, I don't think he deserved her devotion and endless obsessed-nutter-kind-of-love, but he proved me wrong.

Lizith and Xander were the special insanity. The kind where you rooted for them, cried with them, and wanted to stab a cunt that dared break them apart. Their fucking was indescribable. Yeah, I get that it's written word, but it's so much more. They have this trust and love that made it more intense. I'm bad at this describing shit if you were wondering, but don't believe me, just get yourself this cup of dreamy goodness and read it for yourself. lol

I think my favorite part of Xander was his way to make me as a reader feel shameful and hot all at once. Hahahaha. Like, damn, fan yourself and then find your hubs soon after.

"I need to take you, little bird. I need to fill you with my cum, just in case it didn't work," he tells me, his tone desperate.

I might have gone off topic a lot, but it's late as shit, cold as fuck, and I haven't slept much either, so there you have it. I fucking loved this book. BOOM.

Too much "obedience" going on outside of the bedroom for my tastes but even that aside this line was my last straw.
“I love you so much. Thank you for being pleased with a little girl.”
this is the h thanking the dude for being pleased abt the fact that they're gonna have a girl like??

i mean the book wasn't that bad just wasted potential imo bc i was initially extremely excited to read abt the girl being super crazy over the guy for a change. the dialogues were cringey and ott as well but if u want to try something a little different then give this a go ig.

It's almost 2 am, and after finishing Steal You in one sitting, I didn't want to wait my normal day to process my feelings. Normally I like to roll all the characters around and think about different directions the story could have went. I didn't need or even want too.
First off the plot twist keep this book a page turner , finished in 3 hours when I should have been sleeping.
Second- The passion, both light and dark is something that we readers are looking for, otherwise we wouldn't be reading...... love that the freak flag flies with pride
Third- Sexy- smexy character's

DNF. I basically skipped through after the prologue. Not for me. 8 year separation.. for what? To much “oh my love” … who says that? Had a good outline but wasn’t for me
-student/teacher taboo
-master/sub vibe
-h steals H sperm and injects into herself
-H is with his wife the 8 years their separated and is trying to have a baby with her. He doesn’t like her but still… no bueno.

Well damn! I don’t know where KD has been all my life, but I’m jumping on the bandwagon after this crazy read!

Steal You is the type of story that brings joy to my dark soul. So yeah if you didn’t catch the hint, allow me to convey the story is dark. The story is a bit taboo but it’s written so well it didn’t bother me one bit. The scenes and characters are very well developed. The drama is off the charts. The crazy is so high science hasn’t categorized it yet, and the ending...no words! This story builds from the beginning and it’s a roller coaster of a ride to the very end!

This story is not for everyone so proceed with caution. It’s definitely for the darker souls and what a fabulous treat it is!

4.5 stars!

It was cringeworthy at most. There were so many lines like this I lost count coz it seriously made me imagine birds with broken wings, lol. Not kidding at all.
"𝐈 𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧. 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐈 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬"
BITCH WHAT!
HE LEFT YOUUUUUUUUUUU AND NEVER LOOKED FOR YOU FOR 8 FUCKING YEARS and here she was spewing all this weak ass bullshit.
He wouldn't have met her again if it wasn't for her stalking ass. And instead of being glad for all this, he acts hurt and angry (I WANTED TO SMASH MY PHONE AT THIS MOMENT) and our girl goes down on her knees to beg him to punish her. (WTF WOMAN)
I had to DNF it at chapter 5.

I was so excited after reading the blurb but when this book started I was almost cringing at every chapter.
I HATED HOW XANDER WAS A LITTLE BITCH INFRONT OF HIS WIFE WHILE ACTING ALL DOMINATING INFRONT OF LIZITH.
His character gave me serious whiplash.

Steal You is one of the most original stories I think I've ever read. Books like these make me shake my head in wonder as to how authors come up with these ideas. And I'm SO Glad that K. D. Robichaux and C. C. Monore did exactly that. I'm a huge fan of K.D.s Blogger Diaries series and I was so happy when I found out that she was coming out with another new book. When you read Stealing You, there is no way you would know that it is written by two different authors. The storyline flows perfectly from one character to another, from one chapter to the next.

Some may say that the hero and heroine are "dark" characters and they have a"dark" relationship. But I never felt that way. I felt the love and caring that connected them. There are some surprises that get in the way to their HEA, ones that I never saw coming, and I enjoyed being along with them as they worked them out. I was so glad I went into my reading not knowing a lot about the storyline and I think it enhanced my enjoyment of the story.

Thanks, K. D., for giving us a glimpse of how you actually came up with the idea for the story! After reading Steal You, I can't wait to see what you come up with for your readers next.

This is definitely a 6 star read. I loved it!

Compelling addictive obsessive intense these words describe some of my feelings when it comes to the love affair between Lizith and Zander, some might just call it crazy love.

This is a book that grabs your attention, it takes hold of you and shakes up everything you thought you knew about love. Zander is the dominant older man, the author portrays this aspect of his personality perfectly. Lizith is young and impressionable but she is no shy shrinking violet.

A story that has lots of passion combined with a tense atmosphere and several curve balls I never guessed.

This is my first CC Monroe book WOW!!!! KD Robichaux is a one click , preorder hide from everyone to read everything she writes.

This book had me screaming at my kindle all day "thank God my kids were in school" because the stuff I was yelling they would have me committed lol.

I couldn't put this book down, at first I was scared that I wouldn't like it but I was hooked right form the first page. These ladies seriously hit the crazy button and made it work 100% to make you love every dark detail that should be wrong.

If you read this hide from everyone because the shit you will be yelling, people A going to think you are crazy.

Make sure your significant other knows they will be mauled upon completion.
unless your significant other is sick "like mine was, which sucked alot" make sure your favorite toy has fully charged batteries because it will be needed.

I wish there was more to read about these two because I never wanted it to end.

Ladies you both rock and I Love Y'all🖤🖤🖤

Yaaaaasssssss! This book is just 😍😍😍😍
Lizith and Xander were crazy perfect together! They were so dark and twisted but so loving and good for each other! I didn’t see that plot twist coming either! 🤭 This story flows so smoothly that if I didn’t know beforehand it had two authors writing it together, I wouldn’t be able to tell! I loved rooting for an anti heroine who was messed up but in a fantastic way and I’m not gunna lie, I totally saw a little Kayla in her! 😂😂 This story was just fabulous and unique and I loved every second of it so much that I read it in a few hours! Amazing job guys!

I was given this book in return for a honest review. This is the 5th book from KD Robichaux and my first from CC Monroe.. I am really loving the co-written books.. trying to figure out who wrote what..
I absolutely loved this book. I loved Lizith and Xander, they were absolutely perfect in that dark and crazy kind of way. .. I actually read this during my lunch hour at work.. of course everyone just kinda looked at me when I would laugh or yell at my kindle. I think I may have even messaged Kayla and said that I thought someone (I won’t say who so it doesn’t spoil anything) was a dirty bitch ..and she needed to be hurt.. bwahahaha.. It’s
Lizith is not your typical heroine, she was this sweet normal college girl (or so she led you to believe) but she meets the oh so sexy Professor Stein.. and he pretty much ripped what she once was away, and left her broken and raw. Fast forward several years later Lizith is working her dream job when she gets smacked with the opportunity to steal the man she lost those years ago. She sets in place the perfect plan to get her Keeper back.. I friggin loved Lizith’s psychotic mind. I kept thinking what’s next..
I have never been a HUGE dark reader but the more I read I see myself going towards them..
Thank you for the absolutely amazing read.. if I could give more then 5 stars I so would.. This is a MUST READ!!

Holy cow. I didn't even get the chance to add this to my "reading" shelf before I finished it. What a story! In the beginning, I was drawn in by Lizith. Then Xander. Then I was scared of the crazy. One more paragraph and I was hooked again. What an incredible ride this story just took me on. Young love, to heartbreak, to crazy, back to love, and then heartbreak again, and of course, the HEA. Good grief. I need a glass of wine. 10/10 will read again.

All I can say is oh em gee! I have read all of Kayla and Sierra's books. I knew this one would be good but I didn't know it would be this good. My heart hurt for a bit, I cried, and then I was happy. I loved the cat and mouse between the both of them. I can't wait to read what these two come up with next!

Wow! Now, I know this book was written by two people, but you would never guess that just by reading it. These two women have merged in to one genius brain! Their words blended seamlessly together to make a beautiful story. Lizith is definitely not the traditional sweet and innocent heroine in this story, but I love her crazy ass anyway! Her and Xander's relationship evolved throughout the book and I rooted for them from start to finish. I can't wait to see what these talented women come up with next!

You know that sinking in your stomach feeling you get when you take off on an airplane and your insides feel lifted up suddenly? Imagine that over and over with twists. Steal You had me emotionally unstable within the first few pages. This story was beautifully written, in a dark and twisted way. The characters were crazy, unstable, yet enchanting. I don’t want to give away any spoilers. Set some time aside because you won’t want to put this rollercoaster of a story down for a moment.

The reviews and all the anticipation had me excited to read this new to me author. The blurb had me convinced but I must’ve missed something. I can’t really explain what I’m feeling after reading this without my review being full of spoilers. This didn’t feel dark or twisted and the dialogue and the “my love” and “my keeper” made me roll my eyes. Zander is alpha/dominant? How when his wife had him by the balls 85% of the book. Lizith and her weird twitching eye when she was feeling psychotic?

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Lizith was a good girl. Until Xander made her love him. He trained her to be his pretty little bird, her feathers spreading under his attention and praise. He promised he would leave her. Swore it was her he wanted more than life. But then he broke her wings and silenced her song and he became her obsession. She spent years trying to figure out a way to change his mind, to win back his heart. But in this moment of desperation, her mind leaves her and she will just steal you instead.

I finished this book earlier today and I am still trying to decide if Lizith and Xander are both a little psycho or if they just loved each other so much they would do anything wrong or right in the world to get the other back. I swear if someone in real life pulled this little trick they would be in so much trouble. BUT what is that person really didn't mind the crazy thing that you did and got mad at you for waiting so long. This is the story of obsessive love and a man and woman who are so desperate to be with each other that she hatches the craziest plan ever to make it happen. However that is not the end of the story because their are huge secrets that could destroy them both. I do not want to give away anything in this book but I will say it will have you reading it in one sitting.

I have not previously read a book written by K.D. Robicheax or C.C. Monroe. But I am sure it will not be my last.

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book. I've not read anything by either K.D. Robichaux or C.C. Monroe that being said this book was definitely a surprise for me. I didn't read the blurb, I never do so I didn't have any insight as to what this story was going to be about all I knew was that this was a dark romance.

Steal You starts off with an intro to the two main characters, their story is what some would call taboo even forbidden. It's a whole lotta scandalous and a whole lotta heat. Tons and tons of heat throughout this book.

I will also say there is a whole lotta crazy in this book and I'll be honest when I say the lengths that Lizith goes to had me thinking ok do we have a bit of fatal attraction happening here. But as I continued to read on I could see that the lust, the attraction, the power of emotion between both Xander and Lizith is intense and intense is a bit of an understatement here.

This book had drama in spades, it had crazy with a capital C but it flowed well and I could definitely feel the overwhelming desire they had for one another.

If you are a fan of dark erotica then I would say that this book will definitely check off all your boxes.

*ARC REVIEW FROM ABIBLIOPHOBIA ANONYMOUS BOOK REVIEWS*

Holy shit! Yep, that’s how I’m definitely starting this review. HOLY SHIT!
Talk about one crazy ride. Buckle up, because you’ll definitely love this insanity.

“The man who destroys you, forever owns you.”- Xander

Lizith is an anti-heroine. But my goodness, you’ll be rooting for her this entire book. So, does that make us crazy?? Maybe... The same goes for Xander... damn he’s hot!

“I had to steal you, Xander!”- Lizith

The question I kept asking myself through the books was, if Lizith was always mad, did Professor Xander Stine just show her how dark she truly was. Or did he bring her to his darkness? Because I believe she’s always had that dark side and he showed her how to free it.

“I love you like hell loves tortured souls,”- Xander

This book has all the factors for a great read. And I couldn’t honestly tell you where one author began and the other ended. Their writing blended into one another. And that right there is something that’s hard to do. I hope they write together a lot more, because they rocked it! Also, this is the first time I’ve read anything from CC Monroe, and now I’m going to become a stalker, lol.
