3.5/5. The university is one of the most important institutions in our culture; it forms students and its scholarship extends into society. Charles Malik, who served as both a theologian and UN representative, challenges Christians to reclaim the historic universities for Christ (rather than setting up their own parallel schools). Malik addresses the obstacles believers face in both the natural and social sciences.
The version I have of this book is different, my version isn’t found on Goodreads, but my copy definitely needs an editor’s touch. The material is solid and the weight of Malik’s credentials are impressive but this reads like a transcript more than a book.
