It's hard to go wrong with Pooh, and this book is no exception. Though, it didn't exactly go right either. It's just kind of there. The book is separated into sections with themes like "Honey," and "Weather" and then each section is filled with quotes that are somewhat related to the theme. The quotes are nice enough, though a number of them did make me wonder why, of all the possible quotes, they chose to include those particular quotes. A number of them didn't stand very well on their own without any context, though taken together and especially with the nice illustrations the whole book does have that sweet, calm, whimsical feeling that Winnie the Pooh often evokes. There are also little one line comments underneath most of the quotes that add a little more depth, but still nothing profound.

There's an appendix in the back that tells you the original source material for the quotes. About 80% of the quotes come from the new movie, so it's pretty clear that this book is mostly just a cash grab on the franchise and a not-so-subtle advertisement for the new movie. I'm not sure how children would respond to the book and if they'd find it interesting. For adults looking for inspiring quotes, they're likely not going to find profound wisdom or quotes to savor and meditate on. It's mostly just a nice but forgettable book that could have been better had Disney put more effort into selecting the quotes. The book itself is pretty.

I just love these kinds of books. Inspirational quotes from some of my most well loved childhood friends. Unfortunately it did not include my favourite '"I wasn't afraid" said Pooh, said he "I'm never afraid with you"' but it certainly had some beautiful ones.

Gyönyörű kötet, csodás illusztrációkkal, és meseszép élfestéssel.🥳🎈

Hihetetlen, hogy van olyan mondat amire a mai napig emlékszem a mesékből, és a karakterek hangján visszhangzik a fejemben olvasáskor. Apró és rövidke idézetekkel van tele a könyv, amik sokkal mélyebb mondanivalóval rendelkeznek, mint az elsőre gondolnánk. Egyszerű és kedves kis történet, pont olyan mint maga Micimackó.💛🐻

Csak, hogy néhány kedvencet említsek:

“Bátrabb vagy mint hiszed, erősebb, mint amilyennek látszol, és okosabb, mint gondolod.”

“Jó új dolgokat kipróbálni. Különben honnan tudhatnád, mennyire szereted a régi dolgokat.”

Imádnivaló, nosztalgikus történet ami teljesmértékben visszarepített az időben, egészen a gyerekkoromig.
Remélem sikerül sokáig megőriznem, és majd a saját gyerkőcömnek is felolvashatom. 🥹

This was the very first book I read in Polish. I picked it up right when I started learning the language because it had beautiful sprayed edges, color illustrations on every other page, and a small volume of text in huge letters. It was still hard for me to read at first, and I'd argue it's actually not that good for beginners: it's written as a collection of "quotes", so there's no narrative to hold it together and give you contextual hints to the meaning of words you don't know. It also contains some incorrect word usage or deliberate mistakes (e.g. "mjód") to make things childish/playful, give the quote an interesting twist.

Overall, I'd say this is only worth buying if you're a huge fan of Winnie-the-Pooh, which I am not.

What can be better than Winnie the Pooh? This little book contains some of our favorite quotes from Winnie the Pooh and his friends! The illustrations are beautiful and just looking at our old friends gives us a feeling of comfort. I intend to keep this book close and re-read it when I need some Pooh!

This is a beautiful book to savour. I read a couple of quotes every night before bed while looking out the window. It was very calming and up-lifting. The quotes are from the many movies and TV shows ‘Winnie the Pooh’, and all the characters make an appearance in the images. The quotes put a smile on my face, and I absolutely loved the paintings. I find watercolours so fascinating. This wonderfully illustrated book has watercolour with ink paintings that are full of depth, and have a great contrast of the sharp lines of the ink, and the softness of the paint. A truly delightful book that is well worth the read!

Oh God ta książka sprawiła że spadłem w jakis niecodzienny dla mnie stan czuje ze wiele rzeczy nie doceniałem i co przydalo by sie zmienić. Mam ochotę czytać ją codziennie albo losować jeden cytat. Sprawiła ze miałem łzy w oczach przypomniała mi ze jest wiele możliwości, żeby nie byc sceptycznym i widziec pozytywny w nawet bardzo deszczowy dzień. Bajka dla dzieci a zawiera bardzo mądre przesłania które każdemu się przydadzą. Mysle ze o tej książce nie będę w stanie przez dłuższy czas zapomnieć. Byla cudowna

Beautiful, innocent and thought provoking phrases that can positively impact all ages. I've yet to master my Owl, Rabbit and Piglet voice but can do a 'contemplative Pooh,' 'Excited Tigger,' and the melancholy and perspective Eyore with pride.

I received this book as a gift, and it was as unexpectedly somber as it was cozy. Time, Friendship, exercise, Pooh and Friends share simple and insightful words of wisdom to contemplate. It’s a refreshing way to bring in the New Year.

Namármost, ez egy tényleg csodálatosan szép kivitelezésű kötet. Csak fogalmam sincs, kinek szól? Ünnepi hangolódásnak nekem nem elég ünnepi, nem a karácsonyhoz köthető. Elnézegetni kikapcsoló élmény volt, de tényleg egy fél óra alatt átlapozható. Nem értem ki a célközönség.
Az idézetek rendben vannak, többé-kevésbé, de a hozzá halmozott közhelyek, nos az kissé sok volt nekem.
Azt olvastam, hogy olvasni tanuló gyereknek jó lehet, és utána egy picit más szemmel tudtam rá nézni, de szerintem emberfia nincs, aki egyébként ezzel a céllal a szeme előtt venné meg ezt a kötetet.

Szóval összességében: gyönyörű semmiség. Hány csillagot érdemel az ilyen könyv?
