Thrice

Sacrificing for love makes everything better
I had a little bit of a hard time following along with some of the characters. I know they had been introduced in previous books, but by the time I got around to reading this one, I had forgotten about many of them. Some background information, or a reintroduction to them would be nice. It would have certainly helped me make a little more sense a time or two.
Thrice's story was somewhat different than the others because he had been horrendously abused/tortured even though he was such a big, bad fighting machine. I guess it's true that you can't judge a book by it's cover; Thrice certainly couldn't be judged by his outward appearance. The story had an interesting conclusion. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, and I borrowed it through the Kindle Unlimited program too.

Fair warning, if you are a survivor of physical or sexual abuse, this may not be the book for you. There aren't any detailed scenes of abuse but is in discussed more than once and it may be painful for you.
Thrice survives and manages to thrive, but it is a very long road for him and Piper has to really work hard to make sure he is okay once they get to the sexual aspect of their relationship. With all that being said, this is a kick-a@@ book, in depth characters, a great plot and good writing.
Yes, there are editing issues that impact the overall quality of the writing, but the underlying story is really good. I'm hoping that Serena Simpson will find an editor that can help her polish her work and really make it shine. Great story!

Fighting Back

Great adventure
I love this series, each book gets better and better. It has drama, adventure, romance, sizzling chemistry, trauma, a fantasy that keeps you enthralled. Definitely recommend this series.

I love this series. A new story line for each of the aliens and their mates, with the previous characters intermingled throughout really keeps it all tied together!

I loved Brandi and Thrice, she is absolutely perfect for him, and her cat Ivory she turned out to be a huge shot when that secret came out. I can't wait to read book 4 and hope it comes out fast lol.
