LIMITED TIME Get Book 2 of Solar Storm for only $0.99! Jay, Leah, and Kate are all tested and pushed to their limits...but will they go too far? Jay is left without a car again when his plans fall apart and he finds himself on foot, hiking through winter in Indiana to reach his daughter. Exhausted, wounded, and alone, Jay must find the will to push through and rescue his child. Kate, back in control of her own destiny, faces a taste of the reality FEMA has delivered to the major cities of America in the aftermath of the coronal mass ejection. She must pass through the fire to return home, but only if she's ready to sacrifice everything. Leah and the other students left behind become firsthand witnesses to the desperation of man and what violence that can bring. They are forced to dig deep and defend themselves, or risk becoming a footnote in a new, darker history of mankind. In a world where electricity is a thing of the past, can there be any hope for the future? After all, it's not a matter of if a CME will strike the earth, but when.

Phew. All good.

I hope that isn't a spoiler for anyone. I'm really pleased that this book was available to read straight after Book 1. Although not all the loose ends are tied up, I think that enough was resolved for me to stop here with this series. Maybe I will pick up the other books later. It is a fast-paced, story that would be interesting to my non-reading teen boy in a couple of years when he gets over not wanting to read the same things as his mother.

You have stolen several hours of sleep from me. I couldn't put the book down, unable to make myself pause at the start of a new chapter. Well done.

I liked that Jay grew more in this book, and has come to accept what is happening around him. You've made it very believable.

I'm looking forward to the next book, but I can't buy it yet. I know I'll read it all in one sitting again.

A solid second book in an engaging series of Post Apocalyptic Science Fiction novels.

The second book in the series keeps to the spirit and pace of the first and reaches a satisfying, if somewhat bloody, conclusion and denouement.

Good read

I love to watch the development of the characters in this series. Desperation and love of family can make a person strong.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Very easy and quick reading.
Suspenseful and a bit unrealistic but fun to read. I would recommend Book 1 & 2
