The raw love he has for God will spring off the page.

"Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies." - 1 Cor 8 :1. This was one verse i felt like I really needed to hear. Because I tend to be more teacher oriented i tend to focus on doctrine an ad theology a lot, so his whole part about this verse was just a really needed reminder for me.

“God isn’t into surrogate parenting—someone else carrying His seed of revelation for us. He wants to sow it into us personally, breathing His word into our hearts. Insights we receive from others through sermons and books are good and valid, but if that is the only way we receive spiritual insight, we’re living far below our privileges. God isn’t into artificial insemination, either—placing His seed within us without intimate relationship. Cd’s, seminars and books are all good but they must not take the place of hearing from Him personally and directly…we must not be satisfied only with another’s.”
This was just another sample of some great revelation i received from this book. I definitely think I'll be reading this book again. It's also cool because I happened upon this book by getting it for free, and Michael went to the school I did at CFNI.

Immersed in His glory

Many good tools for vitalizing the Christian wslk. Many misapplications of scripture with regards to baptism & speaking in tongues. I respect the author's education but there's no doubt about the events on the day of Pentecost & the 3000 that were added & how they were added to the church. The gift of tongues understood by Mr. Lombardo needs to be studied more in light of 1 Corinthians 13 & the passing away of tongues. I learned many good things about making my prayer life better as well as living life more abundantly.

Michael Lombardo poured his heart into Immersed in His Glory. He gives a wonderful testimony that serves as a guide for gaining a closer relationship with God. I had recently taken a spiritual gifts inventory that included the gift of speaking in tongues. Michael provides information regarding seeking that gift. This is an excellent book. My only complaint are the misspellings and grammatical errors. Most are of the variety that the spellcheck would not find, but someone should have proofread.

Outstanding!

What a praise it is to be a follower of Jesus! For all He has done for me; an undeserving sinner. Thank you Father God for your son Jesus and giving us your Holy Spirit. Bring me closer to you Father God!

Mr. Lombardo thank you for writing this great book. A must read for everyone struggling in life!

Michael Lombardo wrote a really good book about putting the Holy Spirit into each of our prayer lives. If we have accepted Jesus we need to be aware that He comes with the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is real and wants to help us be closer to God. There are three persons in God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit and each believer needs to use all three.

Great book on being a Christian

I would recommend this book for one who is seeking more of God than a passing acquaintance. If you want to learn how to touch the Father's heart, this gives practical steps to get to know the God we proclaim

Finding God's presence

This is a book about finding God's presence in our life. Written from the author's own experience as the basis. The book more on life principles, though in some ways it could be also a guidance for us.

Beautiful book on living in God's presence, power and the revelation of who we are in Him and who He is. Many good statements to remember and underline on entering God's presence and removing obstacles. One of the ideas that struck me, was ask God to bathe daily happenings and secular things in His presence (pg. 166). However, my favorite chapter was chapter 11 on rest. I had heard that the Promised Land in the Bible was a foreshadowing for God's presence being our ultimate Promised Land. Unbelief keeps us from entering into His presence or land. I needed all the reminders of what I have because of the Messiah's sacrifice. Remembering His position and my own in Him, helps me rejoice and be thankful to God for what He's done for me. The chapter on soul wholeness gave a wonderful comparison of God seeing who we really are and restoring us to our original state by chipping away the lies we believe, just like Michaelangelo chipping away marble to reveal the figure he saw inside. The final chapter reminded me of a variety of methods for praying. Very helpful, Spirit-written book (the Spirit guided the writing).
Second time I read it, I understood more how fear, unbelief, pride and other lies or sins keep me from entering God's presence. God's love dispels fear. I need to run to Him not from Him to be free. His presence is the goal, the gift. Repentance is a lifestyle that turns you back to God (PG. 199). The Spirit removes weeds and lies so God's truth grows in your heart.
