With Michael Allred's Madman: The G-Men from Hell series hitting the racks like a polkadot napalm balloon, now comes the atomic dessert, the long-awaited Complete Madman Comics Vol. 3, collecting Madman issues 11-15, including the four-part "The Exit of Dr. Boiffard," the epic Madman maelstrom that still has comics readers young and old asking, "How do you pronounce Boiffard?" Plus: "The Truth About Everything And All The Rest," a Madman title so long only a state-of-the-art trade paperback can hold it Plus: the usual cosmic landfill of guest-artist pinups, galleries, beany copters, giant talking brains, and those cool little hors d'oeuvre swords All in spectacular Mad-orama color by Laura Allred. You can't handle the truth

4 stelle.

Great! Picking up the pace of the story in a weirdly existential way!

After the short-sharp-shocked method of the last collection, it's nice to be able to hunker down with a longer story. Herein, Frank is searching for the brain-expanded Dr. Boiffard and ends up on an island where Robert Rodriguez is married to a shapeshifting mermaid. Deep truths are reached as Frank tries to live a new life for a little while, as well as try to reconcile himself to who he may or may not be. A touching story on the sci-fi tip.
The usual pinups, photos, and other stuff pad out this collected volume, but no more endflaps.
