TRECIA They hired me to mediate between a hot-headed firefighter and a member of his crew at Station 71. However, that same hot-head rejected me on Christmas day without knowing, I would be the one standing between him and his next promotion. It didn’t matter if he was sizzling hot and sexy. He was a class A jerk and the kiss meant nothing. Right?
HAZARD The chief brings in a mediator after I told him that the simple resolution was to get rid of the bad egg. What were the odds that the mediator had to be the sexy vixen from Christmas night? What I also did not understand was the force field between the two of us. We butted heads, she challenged me, and I just wanted to make her mine. I would too, but first I had to go through the mediation of another kind.
Xyla Turner was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She has always been a writer, even as a teenager, she wrote short stories and essays that won awards and nation-wide competitions. Xyla is an avid reader of romance novels and a sucker for sassy females and dominant males. She is a lifelong learner, High School Vice-Principal and a pretty good Auntie. Outside of reading, Xyla likes to spend time with her family and friends, experiment with dangerous adventures and travel. She writes different genres, but her favorite is romance.
This is a short enemies-to-lovers with an alpha firefighter fighting fires and stealing our heroine's heart. And she's no innocent damsel in distress. She gives and takes with the best of them. It was a great IR for a rainy, windy afternoon in Florida.
There's nothing like a man in uniform or out of one. What can I say? Hothead fireman that needs an attitude adjustment meets a confident mediator that isn't afraid to go toe-to-toe with him; but also knows when to let a man be a man. It rung all my bells and sometimes I'm just that easy to please.
It's a novella and I don't want to give too much away, but I will say ... stay tuned for more.
Axel Hazard, being a stubborn man pronged to using his fist instead of his head, soon realized that if he wanted the love and attention of the curvy mediator Trecia Wilson, he'd have to get his anger under control. Trecia and Hazzard bumped heads on her efforts at mediation between he and a fellow fire fighter Toad. They were like oil and water.
Trecia, at first thought that Hazard was not attracted to her at first meeting but soon learned that he was only trying to protect himself until he just could not resist any longer...and neither could she, until things came to a head and Hazard just lost it thinking she'd been hurt. He succumbed to all of her suggestions in an effort to get his lady Love back and to be a better team leader in the fire station.
Xyla wrote a sweet quick easy read love story about two stubborn people who had to learn how to meet each other in compromise.
Hazard was on fire!!! He was not only good looking, but a good man. He may have had some anger issues, but he was smart enough to finally get some help.
Tricia was a mediator, hired to help settle disputes at Hazard’s firehouse. Namely, the furs between Hazard and Toad, the rookie on the team. It was touch and go, but Tricia’s no nonsense approach was just was they needed to whip them into shape.
The sex was powerful between this couple and the promise of what will happen in the future strong. I can only imagine the wild adventures those two will get into. Tricia was a bad girl. You know you’re bad when a sexy man like Hazard declares to himself that he is going to wife you after one weekend! Yes!
"Hazard" is amazing from the storyline to the characters. Every character contributed to how well this story flowed. Trecia and Hazard both have strong personalities... and that chemistry, was off the charts. The real life situations made the story even better. During that fire scene, I thought that smelled smoke as I read!😁😂 It was as if I was watching a movie. Just fantastic!! I loved how Trecia helped the team and especially Hazard and Toad. Awesome story, I can't wait for the next one👏👏👏
Oh this was everything I want in a story and it hooked me from the beginning.I love that the writer kept a pace that always made you engage in what you were reading. The two main characters were wonderful ,just average working couple and both strong willed.I also liked that the heroine could handle herself and stand up to the hero of this story. This was so entertaining and I can guarantee you are going too want to return and see what happens to not only Harzard and Trecia but the rest of the station house.
This story was a good and quick read. Hazard met his match with Trecia. She was beautiful, smart, brazen, and didn't take any mess. Hazard learned that he had to come correct when dealing with her. Trecia made assumptions that turned out to be the opposite of the truth. When she let go and gave into what she wanted, she was happier for it.
Hazard was actually a fun character. He has some serious anger management issues, but he is a dedicated fireman and all his issues stem from his love of the job. Trecia is as dedicated to her job as a mediator as Hazard is to fire fighting. When the two of them come together literal sparks fly.
This was a good read. I liked the storyline. Firefighter and mediator. A little short. It had the steam and some depth. I am definitely interested in the series. It kept me reading.
I liked the characters in the story. I enjoyed how there was an immdeiate attraction between the two and Trecia tried to play it cool but the rough side of Hazard made me happy.
Short but sweet. Trecia is one strong minded female and take no crap from any male especially from Hazard. It seems Hazard like them thick with an intelligent mind. Enjoyed their story.
Good stories leaves you wanting more. This one was no exception. I want to know more about this team of fire fighters. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
Hazard was rough around the edges, but Trecia smoothed him out. I really enjoyed this story, my first by this author. Looking forward to more stories in this world.
I'm a new fan and already I need more from this author hopefully she will think about some part two books because you just don't want the story to end great read!!
Out of all of Xyla Turner's books, I like this one the least. The characters did not pull me in. I don't even remember the heroine's name. Hazard, I understood and agreed that he needed help to become a better leader. The mediator became more of a life coach to everyone at the station, though. Then, it was like someone flipped a switch and she was gaga over Hazard, despite her preconceived ideas at the restaurant when she saw him for the first time. Overall, there was tension and fire...heat and smoke included. I will probably read this again, since it's so short, and update my review if my feelings change.
