Marjorie Holmes (1910—2002) was an American columnist and best-selling Christian author of 134 books, 32 of which were best sellers. Holmes is known best for her biblical trilogy which began with the novel Two From Galilee, a love story about Mary and Joseph, published by Fleming H. Revell.
Guys! This book was so beautiful. It’s basically a book of prayer journals a woman writes. It was published in 1970 so it’s older but somehow still so relatable. There are definitely opinions she has/ comments she makes that are conservative & that I don’t necessarily agree with but I still give this five stars because I really admired the vulnerability & intimacy with the Lord that the author displays in this book.
This book is for everyone. Marjorie (Mrs. Lynn Mighell) just knew I needed this book at this time in my life. This is prayers for everyone on every aspect of life and on every scale of life just so perfect.. As I'm writing this my cat of 16yrs is at the end and the perfect prayer came along, and even though my heart is broken I know God will heal it too... Favorite Prayers: Who AM I (Page 3) The Vital Self (Page 7) Teach Me To Talk To Them (Page 16) What The Young Are Searching For (Page 25) PSALM For A Sister (Page 40) A Women's Name (Page 77) I Wish I Didn't Feel So Guilty (87) Forgive Them (89) My Country (96) She Sits In Darkness (162) Inventory (170) When The Heart Is Ready (171) MYSELF (176) The whole book is beautiful and I have a lot more these are just a few. This make you have perspective on what life with the Lord can do and what life is saying everyday. Recommend to Young and Older such a great book. Gina Clabo P.S. You Can Read This As I Do As A Daily Devotionally..
