Runako is studying hard to someday succeed as owner of her family's maid dispatching service company. One day, a request comes in from an entertainment production company and shockingly, it's for their super-popular star, Seirei Moroboshi! But could it be that the image he projects on the TV is far different than his true secret face...?!
Manga tropes ahoy! Average girl gets a job as a maid for a moody celebrity and romance ensues. The style reminds me of Kiss Me At the Stroke of Midnight. Several things do actually, but that’s the thing with tropes — they’re everywhere! It’s not really unique, but sometimes you just want manga fluff, and this will supply that need adequately.
This does not seem to be my genre... I got used to the differnt way of reading fast enough, but it was superficial and didn't really interest me because of that...
This is very short, just one chapter, of this manga. I can see that the story has potential, but I just don't think I'm interested enough to continue with it.
Ini gara2 mbak Threez yang currently reading sliwer di timeline Goodreads, dan sdh lama juga ngga baca manga shoujo receh gini. Jadinya penasaran. Eh, nemu scan nya. Ya sudah baca aja. Cuma 3 volume dengan 12 chapters.
Ceritanya mirip sama manga apa gitu yg karakter ceweknya naksir artis. Kebetulan pekerjaan si cewek ini pembantu. Yup, ART.
And a kiss between them just happened... Yeayyyy.... 😍
Seirei Moroboshi is a flippin’ tool who needs to be put in his effing place. Like I get it’s the set up for that ending and future volumes, but I just wanted to crawl through the book and high five him in the face. 😡 Fingers crossed the events that ended this book turn him around…on to volume two!
Runako’s family runs a company that dispatches maid services. She is the oldest daughter, 23, and works for the company. She is hired to be a live-in maid for a famous star, Seirei Moroboshi. When she first meets him (when others are around) he is super nice to her, but in private, he turns into a monster.
At first, Runako is unfazed and works hard to clean his house. She also gets to me her favorite star, Ryo-kun lives in the same building as Seirei. Ryo-kun treats her much better than Seirei, and even tries to get her to work for him instead, but she feels a loyalty to Seirei (I mean, she did sign a contract).
One afternoon, they all go to lunch together, and a female star, Ishihara, is there. Seirei treats her with kindness and respect, and when asked why he doesn’t treat Runako the same, he says because she’s a maid, and he doesn’t find her at all attractive and doesn’t even see her as a woman. Then, later, Ishihara treats her badly and pretty much tells her to go home, which she does.
Since Seirei made it clear he doesn’t find her attractive, she doesn’t try and be considerate of him, and dresses in her skimpy pjs, and gets a little drunk. She doesn’t actually think he’s home, so she yells out to him to come drink with her, and surprise, there he is.
He immediately tells her to put some clothes on, and she said she thought he wouldn’t be getting home till much later. He says that he saw her talking to Ishihara, and she suddenly ran home. So maybe he was worried about her. She tells him she’s fine, especially now that she can spend time in these skimpy clothes. She kind of taunts him, saying he can’t have a problem with it because he sees her as a macho tiny old man. He tells her to get away and not to come any closer, or they will have a problem. She continues to taunt him, asking him if he’s going to kick her. He yells, “What do you want from me?” She yells, “I just want you to treat me like a woman, like you do to everyone else!” Then there is stunned silence on both of their parts.
After a few moments, he asks her why, which prompts her to ask herself why. She isn’t sure why she is so angry. As she is reflecting, he leans forward and kisses her. She is shocked, and then he yells that it is her fault; he was trying so hard not to see her as a woman, and she was the one who felt the need to change that.
So it was a case of “thou protest too much.” He was doing it on purpose, but now they kissed, and that changes things. (even if she has a crush on Ryo-kun.)

I'm under the assumption this is supposed to be a romantic comedy. Runako is working in her family business, which is a maid dispatching service, and training to become the new owner. She ends up getting a job cleaning Seirei Moroboshi's home, who is a current popular star in the entertainment industry. But, while he seems like a kind and gentle person on camera, he is a horrible person in private. He immediately yells at and bullies Runako, but she decides to go through with the job because she cannot stand how filthy Seirei's apartment is. I really don't understand how there's supposed to be a romance that comes out of this story. So far, it's just a famous guy verbally abusing a working-class cleaning woman. Also, the tropes and style of this manga scream shoujo but the subject matter and ages of the characters make me think it's supposed to be a josei. The art style is fine, it's very late 90s early 2000s shoujo.
For what it is, the book is short and being forced to buy chapters individually (as books) for future consumption is tedious. I'd much rather buy volumes and have more than one chapter to enjoy at a time, rather than get a chapter that's not got much development going on in any department. The story is cute and predictable, and if I was utterly desperate to continue I'd probably buy it. But I'm seldom into heterosexual romance, especially featuring jerk males, anymore. There's nothing driving me to buy additional chapters. I mean, that's the whole point of selling the chunks (chapters) as volumes—they build that need. Otherwise, I don't understand why you wouldn't just sell it as a web comic since that's essentially what it is...
Runako's family runs a maid service. She is the eldest daughter. Her mother selects her to become maid to an entertainment business client. The client manages Runako's favorite celebrity Ryo. It also manages the slightly older star, Seirei. Seirei is the star Runako must be a maid for and she makes him angry at their first meeting by mentioning that she thinks the star Ryo is the best. Seirei is like a two faced demon. Pretending to be nice sometimes but unpleasantly mean other times. The two get off to a bad start. Already done humorous aspects to this maid gig for Runako. (When Seirei is angry he is drawn with fangs!)
BUY for FREE I read this for free (Kindle Unlimited) and still want to buy it to read over and over again. It is one of my favs after reading so many lately. Some lovely recipes and I am craving it all. So much fun.
High praise from me.
I would still rate this for adults or older teens. Mostly family friendly with an adult theme at the end. (Drunken scene and shared kiss.)
Very good story and comic strip.I was a little confused in the beginning til I realized it was to be read right to left but was good once I figured that out.I wish there was a way to add my own color to it on my Kindle ¡
First off I didn't know you could get manga and read it on kindle! That's a bonus!
The concept was interesting, it seemed to only be one chapter. So who knows how the rest of it will go. 😬 main dude is a bit odd with his multiple personalities though.
maybe i just outgrew mangas but a perfect celebrity (on the surface) who's really a narcissistic with anger issue who can't pick up after himself and only yell after the fangirl maid? again, glad this was free on kindle when i got it.
This was the first chapter of the series and I really enjoyed meeting the characters and seeing how the story was set up. I look forward to reading more of this story in the future.
