An engaging, accessible guide to personal empowerment.
The phenomenal success of The Secret points to the great hunger for answers, hope, and change. But what if books like that seem a little too 'out there' for you? Enter Deanna Davis, whose down-to-earth approach stems from her own change of heart (it happened at the Olive Garden). In this fun, quirky, and decidedly straightforward guide, Deanna shares the science, strategy, and stories of how to create your ideal life using a universal key to success called the Law of Attraction, whether you seek health, wealth, happiness, success, or anything else, large or small.
The book blends cutting-edge research, practical techniques, and a conversational, light, funny tone to make the information both meaningful and memorable. Like a talk by your favorite college professor, it provides brilliant concepts in a downto- earth manner-an uncommon blend of wisdom, creativity, inspiration, and practical strategies that work.
I’ve been reading a lot this month (and thinking about) the Law of Attraction due to an online class I’m taking. So when I spotted this on the new shelf at the library, I picked it up. It was a pretty good read. My favorite part were the resources in the back and the practical suggestions/worksheets to help the reader go through the steps.
This book made the LOA clear and simple. It gave techniques to help one activate the LOA. It explains that LOA is more then just think and it will occur one must have inspired action, gratitude and a positive feelings towards what you desire. A good introduction to LOA.
Found this at a rummage sale and decided to give it a try. It wasn't terrible, but I've only got so much time to read and plenty of other books calling my name a little louder. If you've read other books on the law of attraction, there's likely nothing new to be found in this. It's not bad as an introduction, but I didn't find anything I hadn't read before.
This is a great place to start for skeptical people. The author discusses the practical steps you need to change your life for the better. It’s not just about visualization while you sit comfortably in your home. You have to endure the challenges, to overcome them and to take responsibility for your own life. I personally didn’t do the exercises included in the book but I enjoyed how the author often draw on her own experience.
Not bad, but the downside of having the author write "LOA" every time she meant the phrase "law of attraction", I kept doubletaking thinking it said the text message "LOL" or "laugh out loud". Also the end of the book did not have as much of a punch as the beginning. It kind of peter-ed out like a balloon.
Best and simplest explanation I have read on the way to apply the LOA. Funny, quick read with worksheets to help your process. Worksheets can be downloaded from website address author provides in the book. I like that more of the psychological "truths" of the LOA were presented instead of a "magical" interpretation.
A marvelous book that is worth reading again and again. Some things may be unbelievable but it is explained for the sake of those willing to try the methods of living on a high plane.
