A plan for avenging a debt

I love everything about this book. I've had it in hardcover for years and decided that this format is easiest to carry around.

Although somewhat dated on purchasing and such, this was a terrific book. The story is that 4 WWII Jedburghs reunite for revenge of the murder of their 5th man and former leader who underwent hours of torture by the Nazis to protect them.

Thriller - Sledgehammer is the code name for the operation of an elite OSS unit behind German lines during World War II. Five experts in guerrilla warfare are concealed under identities as a crusading journalist, a Hollywood stuntman, a professor of psychology, a money man for a major casino, and a billionaire bachelor. Their mission is clear. Their training has prepared them for anything. But when the journalist is murdered, his four friends change the plan to one single purpose: get revenge.

I read this so long ago, I have to reread to give a synopsis. I remember it was good, in an Ocean's 11 kinda way.

Pretty good plot, but the writer was too impressed with himself and kept giving directions for how the "camera" should move. Lame.
