About the author

Meryl Becker has been teaching for over 30 years and is presently teaching ESOL at SCALE in Somerville, Massachusetts. She has an MA in Adult Basic Education from Worcester State College and has also taught literacy and GED preparation. She is the author of Samantha, A Soap Opera and Vocabulary Book for Students of English as a Second Language and Samantha: The Sequel, and has used her books to teach young adult and adult students studying literacy and ESOL.
