This is a dumping profile for Roy Ernest Palmer.

Roy Ernest Palmer was a singer, teacher, folklorist, author and historian who wrote more than 30 books on folklore and folk song. In 2003 he was awarded the Gold Badge, the English Folk Dance and Song Society's highest honor.

He had much experience of performing to an audience, setting him apart from better known folk song scholars and anthologists who collected material but were less concerned with singing it.

Probably cheating to say "finished" because I mainly flicked through looking for lore from places I know.

I think I would've preferred something more mythological, as this was rooted in human traditions and folklore. It touched a bit on witches, Guy of Warwick but far more was about songs, fayres and past times, which was still interesting but quite samey. It was still cool to learn some facts about where I live.
