As to a specific review of this specific book, I don’t really have that much to say. This was an enjoyable read, an interesting look at the psychology of this very specific man.

I’ve only ever read The Old Man and the Sea, from Hemingway, as of so far. I’m a big fan of it. My roommate gave me this biography, told me I might like it. So, impressionable reader that I am, I went at it.

Quick read, without much time spent in any one area of his life. This book gave me an impression of Ernest that will give me something to stand with, as I read his novels.
