This was a decent horror novel by James Kisner. It was a little different in tone than the other stuff I've read by him. This one was more serious and dramatic than the other novels I've read by him, which had a bit more of a tongue in cheek, black humor vibe. This book has some fantastic sequences, great characters and an interesting story. What it doesn't have, to its detriment, is a satisfying climax and resolution. That said, I enjoyed it overall and am looking forward to reading more of Kisner's work. He's a criminally underrated writer, leagues better than most of his peers in the late 80s/early 90s horror boom.
Not the best, not the worst, just not much to say.
An overall bland small-town horror ghost revenge tale that has been done ad nauseam. Some fun bits and gore, but completely unremarkable in every other way.
